Left wanting more.
31 January 2024
I have not read the books, My daughters and wife have read them and were anxious for this series.

I really liked the actors and thought they did a decent job. The effects and look of the series were well done.

My problem was the series felt very rushed. After seeing the entire series I feel it could have been 2-5 episodes longer to supply more detail, build the world out, raise the stakes and allow us to get to know what's at stake.

I know books are always better...but remember I have not read the books and I could tell it was rushed.

My wife and daughter overall enjoyed the series, but were let down at how thin it seemed.

I plan to read the series now to see what I missed!

Kate is great
27 October 2022
I've always been a fan of Kate, her quirky take on the characters she plays are always interesting and fun. In "The Outside" she plays the ugly duckling wanting to be a swan. It shows that most will do anything to be accepted.

Her transformation aided with the "miracle" product sold and created by a tv spirit? Played wonderfully creepily by Dan Steven's is a playful look at her descent into what everyone thinks they want... but usually regrets BBB once they get it.

In my opinion one of the top three in this season of Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of curiosity.

I Look forward to another season.

Not a Gamer, Like the show
3 August 2022
I've never played a Resident Evil game.

My knowledge of this franchise is strictly from the 5 movies and some of the animated shorts. The movies were cool for what they were in my opinion. I know it's a very popular franchise that people love... nothing wrong with that... but apparently all the game fanboys pretty much hate everything that has ever been done from the movies to the series...typical toxic fanbase.

The producers said from the beginning would be a story about a family. And that's what it is, with the 2 teen girls it's kind of like "The OC" in Raccoon city... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... unless your brain requires minimal plot and a monster or explosion every 2 minutes like some people.

It's a good story with not much of the horror elements one would expect of resident evil.

Nope (2022)

Nope is a slow burn... that's a good thing.

I really enjoyed it. It takes its time setting up the story, and it's a good story! So if you need or want instant explosions or boobs and one liners every 3 seconds to enjoy a movie... this may not be for you. But if you enjoy a plot that simmers for awhile in setting up a fantastic end sequence. See it!

Great philosophical show

Apparently shows with a plot, that dont depend on explosions every 5 minutes and glib comments are boring? If you like shows that dive a little deeper and take time to build up the story then Hellbound is for you.

Cheesy as Hell

Very predictable with bad writing, Not sure if the acting is bad or the actors just can't do anything with what they are given. This could have been a Sci-Fi movie rather than a series... what is NBC thinking?

Satisfying Ending, if a bit rushed
20 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed Game of Thrones from beginning to end. I think there were some missed opportunity's with the last couple of episodes, they did seem a bit rushed, but I had no problem with the resolutions chosen by the writers. I understand the nuances behind the endings. John is free in the north with a people who will respect him, Sana'a got what she wanted, Arya finally is free of her drive for revenge. Bran will be a good leader by basing decisions on the mistakes of the past... and most importantly... Ghost got a ear scratch and a hug. Haters gonna hate, but not everyone hated this last season !

Alita was thoroughly entertaining. I saw it in 3-D and the visuals were outstanding. See this movie with an open mind.

Not that bad.

I enjoyed this show for what it was... a decent sci-fi tv show with good special effects. Just don't expect it to be too much like the original show. Separate them and just enjoy. Others call it slow... but that's called plot and character development.

Fun Movie
29 November 2017
I don't listen to critics... I see what I want to see. I like super hero movies and "Justice League" delivers. It is fun and new and everything you expect a superhero movie to be. It does have a few uneven moments, but not enough to detract from the fun. I just wish they wouldn't use bad language (even the milder stuff in this one) in what is a kids movie. It's not needed.

Good fun Movie
19 June 2017
I enjoyed this movie for what it was... a fun action movie. The critics tried to kill this one before it ever came out. This is not supposed to be an accurate representation of the Arthur legend. I was fine with the direction it took. It will not win an Oscar for acting, but don't listen to the critics...go see this movie.
