Boyhood (I) (2014)

Real Life Movie !

I enjoyed every part of this movie, it was really amazing its like watching some real life growing up(which it was). This movie is made in a 12/13 year period and goes around the life of a young man, Mason, from age 5 to age 18. I must say that at one scene I thought that the child might grow up suddenly and there would be a text displaying that after some time and another actor have take place as adult Mason but it didn't happened and that was the very best thing about this movie.

The acting was really good specially of Ethan Hawke's as Dad and it was amazing they all did pretty good. This movie really tells us how things changed when you grow up, some thing you are in control of and in some things you aren't, its a natural thing. Its really a good contender for Best Picture at this 2015 Academy Awards.

Fury (2014)

Saving Private Ryan

I thought if I don't write a review for this awestruck movie it would be great injustice, first things first while watching this movie I thought I was watching Saving Private Ryan which was an epic movie, many scenes were identical to that but it doesn't mean that this movie is not good enough or not worth watching, This is a very good movie. The actors specially Brad Pitt as Wardaddy was amazing, I always indulge in Pitts acting and how he can truly just goes into the role.

This is a war movie and focuses on five guys heading to the heart of the Germany to fight in FURY(the name of their tank). While they travel they share a bond with each other(sort of) and tells us how men behave in war.

Though their were many scenes that I don't think seems right like while fighting via tanks the enemy tanks always missing the target while they always able to hit them.

In a nutshell this is a WWII movie and its great.

Gone Girl (2014)

OMG Are You Kidding Me !

I'm a fan of David Fincher, movies like Se7en (1995), "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), The Social Network (2010) are top- notch but I'm a big big fan of "Fight Club" and no movie of his has been this good but I think Gone Girl came pretty close though both movies are just little different but the twist is mind blower.

Gone Girl focuses on the dark side of domesticity that how a family can be this disturbed, I'll try no to spill any spoilers but I'll tell you that the spoiler is revealed at the middle but the amazing thing is that it still hooks you to watch the rest and the ending I think can't be that good. Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne was amazing but OMG Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne a.k.a GONE GIRL was brilliant, excellent and marvelous, I will only say this that she has the every right to win the Academy.

Since this is an adaption to Gillian Flynn's book which she also writes the screenplay which I think was very clever from Fincher to choose Gillian for this job and she excellently done it, the movie is very much to the book and everything goes as I hoped. If you are choosing the movie to watch first its okay but read the book also its brilliant.

This is a mystery thriller movie and all the fans of this genre must watch this.

The Painted Veil (2006)

Simple And Beautiful

It was a wonderful experience for me for watching this movie, I am a big fan of Edward Norton I've seen him in "Fight Club" which to me is his greatest movie of all time and I truly loved him in "American History X" but this role of Dr. Walter Fane is quite different from the two, he played a very humble down to earth man who goes to a Chinese village with his unfaithful wife to treat patients from cholera epidemic which is spreading like wildfire, Naomi Watts played the role of Kitty his unfaithful wife who slowly realizes that how wrong was she to cheat on him. Both the actors chemistry was superb and the ending almost made me cry.

The cinematography of this movie was fantastic, I loved how things are going slowly and not in a rush. The soundtrack was also great. This movie also tells that some mistakes are unforgivable and it takes a lot to find redemption.

Gangs of New York (2002)

The Gangs Didn't Work On Me!

I had heard a lot about this movie so I decided to give it a view and sadly it didn't worked on me, The only thing I liked the most in this movie is undoubtedly Bill 'The Butcher' Cutting played by Daniel Day- Lewis Oh My God !! he was amazing, his acting was amazing, the first half of the movie he plays as good bad guy but it was the other half that he really shows how bad it can be, he was in his role all the time and he's the only reason I'm giving it a 6.

To me the movie is quite confusing and historically incorrect I know that this is some kind of historical-fiction type of movie but in either way I didn't found it convincing and also the time period of the movie is unnecessarily long. I was bored to death in some parts. So if you love Daniel Day-Lewis then definitely watch this otherwise not a good choice to watch.

A Nice Movie !!!

As I finished watching the movie the only thing that came into my mind is that "Why the movie is such low rated ? " its a good movie and some great piece of acting is done by Nicole Kidman.

The movie starts with Nicole Kidman as Christine who wakes up and with a blank memory, at first I thought it was like Memento style movie, my first impression was that but no it was actually quite different though in both the films the protagonist suffers from memory loss but the situation is totally different. as the movie goes you'll know that there is something fishy going around after nine minutes or less we are jumped to two weeks earlier in which the situation is told. I just don't find any reason to rate it less or on the other hand the reason to rate it higher, to me the film could have been much better, the circumstances they told in not very believable, but a nice movie anyway and I loved watching it :)

The Book Thief (2013)

Good But Not As Great As The Book !

Yes and that's what I'm saying that the movie was good but the book is a classic and I don't think any movie adaptation of the book can beat it. The book is my all-time-favorites, I only watched the movie cause everyone likes to watch how the character look like and above all to see them real.

Many characters were removed in the movie or just had shorten their roles as described in the book in detailed but I think that's the exception cause of the time length, the character of Liesel Meminger portrayed by Sophie Nélisse I'm not sure that it was right for this movie cause in book Liesel is quite thin, One thing I also think it's not right is I felt that movie is rushing towards the end like it's in a hurry, many scenes were changed or removed like Liesel goes to steal fruits in the farm or Hans try to give some food to one of the jews and the part about Liesels nightmares were completely removed.

So if you haven't read the book yet I would say read the book first and then watch the movie.

How to rate this movie is quite difficult for me, I watched it cause I have heard a lot about it so anyways the movie was good but the ending to me is quite shocking rather than disappointing, I never thought of that and if it was different I'd definitely given it an 8.

So the movie is about a guy Sebastian who is a womanizer goes in a bet with her step-sister to deflower a girl but instead of doing this he falls in love with her slowly. The predicament rises when he has to decide whether to choose his reputation or Love. The movie is of erotic genre and if you're interested in it you'll definitely enjoy it. I liked how the character of Sebastian changed from evil to good

Lost !!!

I don't know what to say, I saw the movie and now I feel that "Can I have my 108 minutes back ? " this movie is a crap, I only saw this cause of Scarlett Johansson cause I think she's awesome and its the only reason i'm giving it a 5 else I would have given it a 4. To me the worst thing in the movie is not explaining it clearly, A women drives and picks up men and she killed them and their skins are taken from them. Many guys say that this is an artistic movie but it didn't gets me.

The scenes were shot excellent and gives some pleasure of watching it. The sound was also good running in the background that something might happen. I must say that in some scenes I was on the edge of my seat and specially the end scene where we come to know who was she actually.

Boogie Nights (1997)

Not Porn, Just about Porn

I loved this movie so much that I can't explain but I will try to. Basically the movie just focuses on porn and the life of pornstars and the life that are attached to it. Every actor in this movie has done a tremendous job, Specially the acting I liked the most is of Mark Wahlberg as Eddie Adams / Dirk Diggler he is a real talent in the movie and in actual life, this is his great movie that really gave him the stardom, Burt Reynolds was also amazing the way he portrays the role of porn director was excellent, Julianne Moore was also great, In a nutshell if you love these actors you'll definitely love this movie.

The story is about a guy(Wahlberg) who is enter in the porn making business by Jack Horner (Reynolds) and later the story revolves around it, the success the failure the power of stardom how it can make you and destroys you. To me the movie is not porn but its about porn actually. I loved the POV style scenes, how a man is walking in his house it was terrific. I loved it !

Some Things are Meant to Change

Yes some things are meant to change, and this episode is all about the change. I'm just really amazed to see how Lester changes from being a loser to being a winner guy but through a very dark path. The episode starts where things were left and it seems that Lester is winning his evil plan, Molly still doesn't believes in all what the story is changed into and still has some suspicions but faces pressure to close the case from the authority. At after thirty minutes of the episode the timeline is shifted after one year of the events that took place and shows how's everyone is doing in its life. The later part is all about that until in the final moments we saw that Lester sees a very familiar face in an unlikely environment. Thus the episode ends with a very intriguing conclusion.

The Fisher King (1991)

R.I.P - Robin Williams

Yes RIP Robin Williams I can't find a better caption than this. The acting which he did in this movie is top-notch. I'd seen many movies of Mr. Williams like "R.V" and "Good Will Hunting" but to me this movie wins hands down, Robin Williams is so into character never breaks it and does with absolute perfection . But I must say that Jeff Bridges was also wonderful he's a talented actor and he's awesome. Mercedes Ruehl as Anne was also very interesting though her role was not important but still noticeable.

So about the movie its about a man Jack who is a self arrogant, cynical and a type of a man who always thinks for himself he has no feelings for others, unintentionally did something terrible and one day a devastating news breaks on him and his life changes, after three yeas he was saved by a guy from suicide who's life is ruined by his mistakes and by helping that person he finds redemption.

This movie could be better by improving some idiotic scenes which I found very stupid. This films also about Schizophrenia and how a person deals after a traumatic experience, so if you are interested in this, then definitely check this out.

Citizen Kane (1941)

Yeah, That Was Something !!

Charles Foster Kane is his last moments says his last word "Rosebud", the newspapers aims to find the meaning of that word and interviews Kanes former associates, friends, wife and his butler tells the story of Charles Foster Kane in their own perspective.

The movie starts with a narrator who tells the quick story in less than 13 minutes about Charles Kane, but we know more of Kanes life in the flashback which are the interview which I above mentioned, Charles is clearly a man of his obsession and he never backs out from any fight, maybe the big reason of this is cause when his parents abandon him and he realizes that things can never stay with you forever.

This is a great movie, I wanted to see this one for a very long time though its old but it sure is a classic. The dialogues I consider is great and couldn't be better, the acting is also very impressive specially of Kane (Orson Welles) which according to me portrays the role in a mesmerizing manner, the cinematography that how the movie is told and we came to know more and more about Kanes life is amazing, this movie is a one of its kind.

This is a must watch movie, if you are a movie lover than you must watch this EPIC movie.

Blue Jasmine (2013)

Cate Blanchett is a talented actress !

Jasmine a New York socialite moves to San Francisco to live with her sister after she is completely broke and having issues of nervous breakdown. Jasmine is struggling with her past memories but she wants to put aside all those haunted memories and wants to start a new life just from the scratch but in doing so she chooses the path of deceit and fouls up everyone's lives.

As the movie goes it seems that Jasmine look like a talkative person lives and in her own world type of a women but actually she looks lonely and in need of a friend more details are revealed as the movie goes which are the flashback on her past and how is the nature of her husband but to me Jasmine is a kind of person who really wants success and fame at any cost and didn't learn anything from her past which results in future blunders.

I feel really sorry for her and at the same time there is a feeling of hate towards her. Though the movie is good and Cate Blanchett's acting is the real deal and that's why I watched this movie.

I wouldn't really recommend this to everyone but if you are a Cate Blanchett's fan then you should really watch this.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

All We Need Is A Little Hope !

Yes "All we need is a little hope" that's exactly what my point is no matter what the circumstances are you just keep trying. I truly love this movie story was quite simple a family goes on a road trip in their VW bus for their young daughter to participate in a beauty concert, the movie focuses on characters who are busy in their lives and are just desperate for something that can change their life.

As the movie is motivational it is also very hilarious every character in the movie is somehow different and all are struggling hard with their issues. The most funny scene is when a police stopped them and they had a dead body in their trunk, hilarious.

The character I liked the most is without any doubt was of Olive Hoover played by Abigail Breslin, and I was really amazed that how she is always into the character and never break it once.

This is a complete family movie and I'd recommend that you should see this with your family.

Rust and Bone (2012)

I loved it !!!

This is my very first review of a Non-English movie ever. I watched the movie like a year ago and I gave it a 7.5 but after viewing it again I gave it an 8 which looks more appropriate to this amazing movie.

I just watched this movie cause I like Marion Cotillard the movie centers around a guy (Matthias Schoenaerts) who is a boxer and also in charge of his son living with his sister meets and develops bond with Stephanie (Marion) after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident. Alain according to me is a careless man and particularly lives life on his own term of a guy on the other hand Stephanie is the completely opposite of him.

I totally love this movie the main thing that I like the most is the chemistry of these two its truly amazing. The scene I like the most is when Alain decides to go fight again and Shephanie was shocked.

The direction was great and also the CGI which was remarkably marvelous.

I would recommend this to everyone.

A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)

Weird In A Superb Way !!!

I haven't seen much of S.Korean movies just "I Saw The Devil" which was a nice watch. But to me "A Tale of Two Sisters" is the best I've seen yet, The movie has a twist which I'm sure will blow up your mind when you knows it. The movie grips you from the beginning however its a bit slow in the start but things starts to take turns and you will think to your self that something is wrong.

The thing really surprised me is the originality of this movie, I've never seen such type of a movie and that's what makes it great however I would no call this a complete horror flick but there is some sort of drama also and when you will find out you'll understand it better. In a nutshell a bizarre and original plot that is executed very well, except is difficult to fully grasp on the first viewing.

The Maze Runner (2014)

Left with a lot of questions !

I've heard a lot of buzz about this movie so finally I watched it and to me it's good but I was expecting a lot better and it could have been but there are very silly mistakes that I can't just believe in and makes no sense although the starting was very good. We see the movie with the perspective of Thomas played by "Dylan O'Brien".

The Maze Runner is about a guy who find himself in a maze (and thats where the movie starts) though he had no idea who he is and why is he here and afterwords the movie goes on, The good thing about this movie is that every scene holds you onto your breath and on the edge and like everyone you too want to know why ??

So I recommend this movie to everyone who likes thriller, mystery and some action.

Jacob's Ladder (I) (1990)

Confusing and Complicated but still worth watching !

Finally I watched the movie, this movie has a big cult following and it's one the movies that you have to watch twice for better understanding. So about the movie this movie grips you from the beginning and hold you tight on your seat. The main character of the movie is Jacob ( the title refers to him ) Vietnam war veteran and mourning for his child. The thing is that you view this movie from the Jacobs perspective you really don't what's going on. As the movie passes Jacob realizes that things are different and are changing dramatically or in other words going more complicated.

The thing I don't like is that I'd left with a lot of questions and after watching it I'd to read a lot from different sources. This movie is a combination of mystery and thriller, the events changes so quickly that you're left confused but I guess the plot is revealed in the end.

There are also some bizarre scenes in this movie which I found rather disturbing anyways if you're looking for a movie that completely requires your attention so this is the one.

Little Children (2006)

Couldn't Be A Better Ending !

Just to say first 7.5 is my original rating, I could give it an 8 though but settle on 7.5 but that doesn't mean that this film is not worth watching this is a very good drama movie I'd watched after a long time.

The movie according to me is on the subject of infidelity or just say love finds its way and it can't be abandon. Every character plays a major or important role in the movie. The character I liked was of Brad to me he is reckless didn't take life seriously and ends in infidelity. So why the title "Little Children" the film focus on a guy (a pervert) played by Jackie Earle Haley who was released from the prison by committing a crime in front of a child anyways everyone in the town is scared of him that he might hurt their children in this way all the lives of characters somehow intervene.

According to me what this movie really tells us is that its our children who need our attention, our love and affection, we should take care of them give them a happy and loving environment, despite of all the differences between us we should not destroy their childhood.

And yes the ending was perfect and it couldn't be a better ending than this, So if you're looking for an adult drama movie this is the best choice for you.

Lars and the Real Girl (2007)

Lars, we love you.

This movie reminds me that there are people around you that loves you and cares for you that's exactly the story of Lars he was loved by everyone and still he just avoid it makes himself isolated from the world and that is when he found his true love Bianca that was a doll but not to Lars who loved her from the bottom of his heart.

So, about the movie, people calling it a comedy but I will not call it a comedy not entirely however there are some chunks of humor which makes me laughed really hard especially the one when Lars introduced Bianca (the doll) to his brother and sister-in-law it was hilarious but I would really call it a serious drama movie. I just love this movie, acting was very appreciable.

Must give it a try, you'll love it.

Deliver Us from Evil (2006)

Dark Subject of the Society

Look I'm really not into Documentaries but when I decide to see some they must be good and attractive that catches my attention. So about this film, this documentary is about a priest Oliver O'Grady who is a pedophile and pervert, he had a reoccurring part in this documentary shows his views that what kind of a pervert he is which is really shocking also there are interview of other victims of child molestation and their families telling how they were betrayed by the person and the organization which they trusted the most.

The way I see it people like O'Grady can be found in every religion disguise themselves in sheep's clothing but are actually wolves, but the worst part are the organizations that letting these wolves in our society and hurting our children if the Catholic church had taken a suitable action there could be a very different story.

So about the recommendation, viewers may find it quite disturbing cause its on a very dark subject that people don't like to talk about, so yeah you can give it a try if you are willing to and if you like documentaries.

The Devil's Advocate (1997)

Now thats what I called a MOVIE !

Its been such a long time that I've watched any decent and good movie and that was it clearly made my day. The movie really shows the daily life struggles of peoples and how far they can bend. The acting of Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino and Charlize Theoron were all fabulous, fantastic and mesmerizing. This movie grabs your attention from the right beginning. The cinematography was also good. Most reviews appreciate the acting of Keanu Reeves but to me if I have to pick one I would definitely pick Al Pacino clearly he's such a great actor and the scene when he tells "On a scale of 1 to 10" is totally hilarious cause this scene occurs at a very intense moment.

So about the recommendation, really if you are looking for a good movie and you are a Keanu Reeves or Pacino fan you should definitely see this ( note: read the content advisory first)

Rescue Dawn (2006)

I thought it was Good.

So I watched it cause it was a sole survivor movie someone recommend it to me, so I said why not just give a try the rating looks compelling but it isn't the movie falls into the list of movies which we called OVERRATED the acting was terrible at least in the first half, Christian Bale is behaving like a brat child like he was in a bad hotel and everything there is terrible.

The only thing I liked in this film is the acting of the co-actors which was good than Bales and the location too the forest the empty fields it was shot great but I won't recommend this movie to anyone unless you are a die hard Christian Bale's fan.

The Hidden Face (2011)

In the end just an average movie !

So finally watched this Spanish erotic thriller and I was aware not to watch the trailer ( note: Don't watch the trailer ) so I didn't and was very surprised in the beginning but as the movie progress my excitement was spoiled cause unfortunately I'd seen the Bollywood shitty remake of this movie. So in the end I was aware what is happening.

So why did I gave 6 stars only ? The movie follows the disappearance of a girl and so on, I tell you that there is something to do with the HOUSE, so anyways a lot of stupidity is shown which I really don't liked and can be prevent if they want to, Second seriously ! not satisfied with the ending and I think that there could have been a different ending, nevertheless I really appreciate the concept which is very original. so a nice effort.
