The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)
Give them Oscars
Give them all of the Oscars. All of them. That's all. I'm having to write more words than is necessary for some unknown reason. Have you always had to do this? What a terrible waste of time. God do I need to elaborate more. This is a dark drama with moments of dry humour. It's cast perfectly, both leads deserve an Oscar as does both supporting actors (not the donkey - really struggling to flush this out, still 191 to go). Eh, what else. Set during the Irish civil war (thanks again England love your work). Every man lives a life of quiet desperation or something like this. This shows what the means. In all seriousness Barry keoghan is phenomenonal. Defo give him an Oscar aswell please. Again all of them. Except the witch.
Fleabag (2016)
Outstanding
Original, smart, witty and funny. Also, is Phoebe Waller-Bridge one of the sexiest woman alive. Yes. Yes she is.
The Last Dance (2020)
OK fine no problem
Whenever MJ says "OK fine no problem" you know it isn't fine, there is a problem and he's going to f... Someone up. All these guys are legends. Absolutely brilliant documentary, try savour it. These ones don't come around very often.
Gangs of London: Episode 5 (2020)
JFC
What an outstanding episode of TV. The series has some critics and rightly so but the fight scenes throughout are some of the best ever in a TV show, from the bar fight in ep 1 or the gypsy fight in ep 2 to this whole episode.
The Sopranos: Made in America (2007)
Still the greatest ending to a TV show ever
When I first seen this ending I thought my TV was broke. Then I nearly put my foot through my TV when I realised that was it. Then I rewatched it all from the first season and understood what happened. Then a couple of yrs later I watched it all again and picked up stuff I had missed the 2nd time. Then yrs later I introduced my wife to the sopranos and being at a different point in my life it seemed to have changed. My lens was different and somehow the show was even better. Now having watched some amazing TV shows that I thought were rivalling the sopranos as the greatest ever none have been able to smack you square in the face the way this ends. For me there is no question of the outcome, its all there for you to see. Well done to all involved, still the best by far.
Bobby Robson: More Than a Manager (2018)
Outstanding Tribute
What an exceptional gentleman Sir Bobby Robson was. A great homage to the man who who has inspired the two most successful managers of the last decade. The world needs more men like this in it. A must watch if you're a football fan.
