Welcome to Wrexham (2022)
An emotional roller coaster
I watch a lot of tv, I rarely leave reviews. I urge everyone to watch this, regardless of whether you like this sport or not. The way it highlights community, humanity, passion, drive and the unknown is phenomenal. Massive credit to Ryan and the other guy (joke!) who I don't think saw this as a money making scheme, they genuinely care about what they are trying to achieve and really put effort in on top of cash. You can see the emotional investment from everyone within this show. It's beautiful and perfectly summarises humans to me. Please give a couple of episodes a go, you will not regret it.
Physical (2021)
Brilliant. Makes you want to dance and scream it all out
I won't lie. My Apple TV subscription is coming to an end and I'm trying to watching everything. This show was bloody brilliant. Great cast. The lead character is a self loathing beautiful go getter. All of the characters have so many flaws no matter how successful or struggling. It's a really deep show and resonated deeply with me but it tries to come across as light. I guess it's open to your own interpretation.
Rose Byrne is amazing in this. Amazing casting, writing and production. I guess whether you like this or not will come down to whether you're a deep thinker or not. For me it was nothing less than incredible and with a kick ass soundtrack.
No one is perfect, as they showcase in this series. But this perfectly highlights it all.
Vigil (2021)
Truly terrible
Had such potential but all of the needless subplots where beyond frustrating. Felt quite angry by the time I reached the last episode.
Save 6 hours of your life for something more enjoyable, like cleaning the toilet. Absolute drivel.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Blown away!
I never write reviews but this film is incredible! It blew me away. Witty, well paced, brilliantly written and faultless acting.
Hugh Grant is amazing in it and is unrecognisable. Best Ritchie film to date and will definitely be going to see it again.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Blown away!
I never write reviews, ever! And I've never been an avid superhero fan, but this is something else. It has everything you could ever want from a film. It is a hell of 2 hour ride with so many emotions. I won't say anything about the plot as would hate to spoil it for anyone. If you only see one film at the cinema this year, then make sure it's this!
