I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
almost as awful as Birdman
I went into this movie with an open mind and since it was Kaufman, I figured I'd be in for a mind bending two hours. What I got was a total mind numbing, piece of crap movie. What the hell was this? I love movies that makes you think, but there was no rhyme or reason as to what was happening. The performances were quite good, and the cinematography was really beautifully film. The story line, however, leaves the viewer frustrated and feeling cheated. It is too open ended and thank God there are sites on the web that explains what is not easily there to figure out.
Derek: Episode #2.5 (2014)
oh did I ever cry
....this episode is so beautiful and heart breaking that every aspiring TV/screen writer; director; and actor should invest 25 minutes and watch. It's simply brilliant. Honest and pure and every emotion possible will be used and exposed. Only the hardest of hearts might not like this, but even Satan himself will break down at one point. The show as a whole is above average and filled with laughter and sadness, and if you give it a chance, from episode one; season you, you will be a better person. Just make sure, episode five of season six is the benchmark; the pinnacle; the crown jewel of what television and media is all about as it hits all the senses.
The Lost Room (2006)
please enlighten me
so here I am watching and loving this mini-series, and what happens at the end? I don't know! It doesn't end. There is no resolution. No "coming together." No real questions answered. No meaning of the legion and "Rube." I am so frustrated with the mini series. SciFi owes the viewing public an explanation and an apology. This was a great premise-fun to watch and totally absorbing. I couldn't get enough until the lousy ending. And, when Kevin Pollack changes eyes, where is all the blood? Where was Anna? Why did the legion not fight back when Joe was in the vault? How did John Doe end up an object? Why was room "9" an evil room? So many questions unanswered and left out reason.
WKRP in Cincinnati (1978)
....I don't know why....
but this was/is one of those shows that was just too good to be true. Along with "Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development, and The Powers That Be," WKRP was perfection on a 19 inch TV. CBS exec's should have been fired for treating this classic show with such disrespect. I remember the excitement of waiting for the show to begin, when all of a sudden, CBS did the unthinkable, and replaced it with some mundane piece of garbage. Oh well, thank God for DVD's. Now it will live in infamy and anytime I want to hear Les proclaim, "Oh the humanity, " or Mother Carlson shouting, "Hirsch!" It will be at my finger tips!!! So, along with "Cheers, Newhart, and a few other" the classics live on! Now, if only FOX would release "Duet" on DVD. It would be heaven on Earth!
