Pánico en el Transiberiano (1972)
A fantastic 70s horror movie
This is simply a very good movie. There is really nothing about it to dislike. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are the biggest names and they work well together on the screen. Telly Savalas shows up towards the ending, and makes a great performance.
The movie is very impressively made. It is a work of art. Other than horror qualities, the acting is great and the setting works perfectly. This is one of those movies who works good on every level. The acting, the pacing and the sets are all perfect. The special effects in this one are still very fascinating and scary.
This is one of my absolute favorite movies and I highly recommend it to everybody.
Kopps (2003)
One of the funniest movies ever made
I am usually not a big fan of Swedish films, since most of them is painfully bad. All the "Beck", "Wallander" and "Johan Falk" movies are the same. Uninspired and pointless cop movies. Kopps is a little bit different. It not only managed to rival movies such as "Sällskapsresan" as the funniest Swedish movie ever, it stands up very good internationally as well.
"Kopps" mix hilarious comedy with a Swedish small town setting, and the result is fantastic. For anyone interested in having a fun time this is a must see. It is really special, and I am certain that this one can be appreciated by audiences outside of Sweden to.
I regard this as one of the best comedies ever.
House of the Long Shadows (1983)
A horror classic
This movie has managed to make all of the greatest horror icons to appear in the same movie: Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Vincent Price. John Carradine is also starring and disappoints nobody.
The movie feature excellent performances from the actors and the story is smart, funny and sometimes scary. The atmosphere is unrivaled and in the "House" genre, this is the best one out there.
For everyone who loves horror movies, or just great performances from veteran actors, this is a must see. It is one of my favorite films of all time.
I recommend this classic for everyone enthusiastic about good films.
