The Family (2013)
This movie is great, don't listen to wannabe critiques of this board
I usually don't post my review of movies that I see but when I saw people saying so much negative things about this movie just because they were offended by the characters, I had to write this. First of all this is a great movie, it certainly does not deserve the "worst movie ever" kind of reviews, and I am amazed at the amount of stupidity on IMDb boards, you visit any movie page no matter how good is it and there is always a "worst movie ever" thread in there, just shows how 15-16 year old wannabe critiques are destroying these boards.
The movie is great from start to finish, the comic touch is just brilliant, and Robert de Niro once again shines in his role, the movie was worth watching just for his performance alone, and the use of one word to describe all his emotions was hilarious, those people who have watched it and liked it will understand. The rest of the cast was spot on and everyone did a great job. The problem most of the people are facing is that they think the movie somehow want them to like these characters, which is not true, nobody is forcing you to like what they do, but that's what they are, and that's where the movie shines because it never try to hide what they are, you don't like what they do? that's fine, you don't have to, but don't judge them or get offended by it, they are what they are, and this portrayed so brilliantly in this movie. If you watch every movie with hopes it would be the best film ever and will not have a slightest flaw then its your mistake, every movie has some flaws, something that you won't like but that doesn't mean its the "worst movie ever", so my suggestion to all the haters is to first get a life and then learn to enjoy a movie without trying to portray yourself as the next most genius person who just want a perfect movie with not a single flaw, movies should be watched for fun not for picking up tiny problems and making a mountain out of it, this is a great movie and if you accept the family for what they are and stop being so judgmental then you will enjoy it too:)
Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011)
Best Indian Movie....A Must Watch
Forget about that loser who gave it one star, he is too dumb to understand this masterpiece. I don't really have words to describe the beauty and perfection of this movie. Its not a family movie thats a clear fact but is it a good film? Of course and on top of that it is one of the best Indian movies ever made. Acting, Direction, Script, Dialogues, Music, there is not a single thing that is average in this movie. Irfan Khan shines as always, that man is a powerhouse when it comes to acting and he proves himself again in this movie. I have seen many Indian love stories but the love story portrayed in this movie(irfan khan part) was a treat to watch, it was unique and had no cheap moments like 99% of other romantic Indian movies. Great story there.
Sarab Shukla although got a small part but that man is hilarious,he is really one of those actors who would have been much popular in film industries that value good actors rather than good looks. I laughed so hard when irfan khan tells him to leave India as soon as possible and saurab after disconnecting the call takes his stuff in a hurry, starts to walk away and then suddenly comes back, dial again and ask "saalay tu ne ye kia kiyun?" it was priceless.
Arunoday Singh, Wow that man really impresses with his 100% natural performance, I never took notice of this guy in his previous film, But here he proves that he can act and is here to stay. Clearly shows how it depends on the director to make or break an actor, In hands of sudhir mishra this actor just keep impressing. Great acting.
Both the girls did their part good too, aditi rao had a smaller part but she looked and acted good.
Overall this movie is a must watch. Don't get fooled by these losers who don't have the IQ to understand this movie, one of them thinks he is too intelligent and has posted a long thread about his "intelligent" theories but in reality he is too dumb, he just doesn't know it.
Go watch this movie if you are looking for an intellectual crime drama with a comic touch. Great Movie. Sudhir Mishra has truly won my heart and I hope this movie will have the same effect on anyone who is looking for a movie that truly shines in front of all those crappy movies that Bollywood keeps churning out every year.
