The Mandalorian: Chapter 19: The Convert (2023)
This is not the way.
That whole Coruscant plot was so off. It kinda felt like Andor but with terrible writing, editing and acting. Probably my least favorite Mando episode so far. It's probably gonna sit better in the context of the whole season but that doesn't excuse the disappointing downgrade in writing quality. This is not the way. When the plot got back to Mando, Grogu and Bo I sighed with relief. That says a lot... The beginning and ending of the episode were awesome, as usual. I wonder if Bo is going through some sort of faith crisis after the living waters thing proved her wrong, or she's just playing it safe and quiet and it's all part of her plan. Or both. Anyway, I hope we'll get to see the Mythosaur sooner than later.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: The People vs. Emil Blonsky (2022)
Better.
This was actually a good episode. Funny, self-aware, light script, good acting, 4th wall breaks are cool, good cameos, Abomination's CGI was fantastic, Jen's again was not. Looks really cheap and out of place... Even the lighting of her face looked unfinished and really amateurish. I wonder if they don't care, or didn't have the time to fix it. It's a big deal when the "worst looking" part of the show is it's main character.
I'm starting to like this filler of a show, though. 😅 I hope they show more of what Hulk is up to and what was Jameela Jamil's character all about.
7/10 but I'm rating this higher because of the overreacting, review-bombing haters.
The Morning Show: Ghosts (2021)
I hope we're back on track.
This felt like the best episode of the season so far because it resembled the first season the most. I hope the second part of the season gets better, like this episode did. The scene with Alex and Maggie was top notch, great work by Aniston there.
Nobody (2021)
So fun!
Highly entertaining, well-acted and with a good soundtrack. Very dumb at times, especially when it goes full John Wick and stupidly over the top. Still, pretty good and fun to watch. 7.5/10.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Disappointing, but has potential.
The show had its moments, but there were too many things that felt off and amateurish. The plot is all over the place and laughable at times. Some of the visual effects felt like from two decades ago. The list could go on and on and yet I still fell like I wanna know more. I'll give second season a shot but for now, the show is literally overrated. If it wasn't for Amanda Collin's fantastic acting I'd probably stop watching halfway through the season. The good moments were good for maybe 7/10 tops, but I'm more inclined to give it a 5 or 6 for how bad it often was. I don't know, this just doesn't feel like a big budget production that it is. Felt more like a Syfy show than an HBO series. That being said I really hope they fix a lot of things and it will get better in season 2.
Raised by Wolves: The Beginning (2020)
Disappointing, but has some potential.

Tales from the Loop (2020)
Did not meet my expectations :(
I absolutely adore Simon Stålenhag's work and was very eager to watch this. Just finished it yesterday and unfortunately it's got a lot of wasted potential. The unrewarding, anticlimactic, somewhat boring writing ultimately overshadows the good - the gorgeous music, pleasing cinematography and interesting cgi. Don't get me wrong, I love a slow burner when done right. This just isn't. The story just goes nowhere, it's feels like the writers lost their focus in the middle of the writing and just came up with random stories that focus on the humanity, while explaining and expanding almost nothing about the world it occupies. Very disappointing. It's the first time I actually skipped through some scenes because the dialogues were so painfully amateur and unrelated to the main story. If there is a second season I will still watch it, hoping the main story progresses a bit more. 6,5/10
The Boys (2019)
Overrated
I get that it's a "cool new take" on a superhero genre, but it could be so much better. Cinematography is meh. Acting is mediocre at best, with the exception of the awesome Karl Urban. In fact, most of the actors are totally miscast in my opinion. I just finished it yesterday, and I keep wondering if I wasted my time watching this. I'm really not sure. I'll wait for season 2, curious if it gets better. And that's the biggest issue with this show. It has so much potential, but it just feels corny and plastic and cheap. 7/10 for some plot lines, humor, Frenchie, Komiko, Karl Urban's acting and the music.
Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Stunning visuals!
I am not familiar with the manga the movie is based on, and therefore I will not compare the two. In my opinion, this was a thoroughly entertaining sci-fi action movie. The overall mood is really dark and gritty, thanks to an exceptional production and costume design. The VFX and CGI was well made, didn't feel as cheap or overdone as we often see in this genre. The score was satisfyingly powerful, kinda reminiscent of Tron: Legacy. I liked the cast, especially some lesser known actors. Scarlett's performance was typical. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary. By far the best thing about this movie is the cinematography. I can't say enough about how exceptionally well shot this was. This movie is such a pleasure to look at. The framing, the camera movement, color grading and the use of light are all top notch. Simply stunning visuals! Yes, this had the potential to be so much more, but I still wouldn't call it a disappointment like some other reviewers have. If it wasn't for the mysterious, yet somewhat shallow and uninventive plot I'd give it an 8 or 9. I loved the visuals that much.
