Seinfeld (1989)
The very last episode, was not entirely clear, (Why the problems with Puerto Rico)?
The fact that there was a situation, in the last episode, which I,unfortunately, could not see from beginning to end,in which Puerto Rico's flag was burned, I believed accidentally, within the show's usual style, was by no means an insult to Puerto Rico or his citizens. Nevertheless, I believe that the cast, or producers, did have to apologize. Is that the way it happened? I live outside USA, and could not find details about this last episode, and the controversy that created. I will appreciate any information regarding this situation. How did all end? How many people, including myself, think that there was nothing offensive with the situation of the Puerto Rico's Flag, and that there was no need to apologize?
Normal (2003)
Quiet and routine life of a Midwestern couple is shaking by the decision of the husband to change his sex, having an operation and taking hormones.
This quiet film about what may be "Normal" or not, for any of us,deals with marriage, a solid relationship that has lasted for 25 years, celebrated by Jessica Lange and Tom Wilkinson at the beginning of the film. As it turns out, Roy, (wilkinson, better than ever)confess,in tears, that he feels like a woman trapped in the wrong body. There is no sensationalism in this film, or debate about sex change operations, but rather about love, understanding, enduring each other shortcomings, companionship, and a dosage of subtle humor, facing what each day may bring. While one witnesses the transformation of Roy,it also observe the acceptance that Irma offers to his husband.
