Supernatural: Meet the New Boss (2011)
Visually stunning
I really like this episode. Everyone's acting is great, especially Misha Collins in the last scene, but the direction really surprised me. It's very well directed, the lighting is outstanding. A very good start to the worst season
Doctor Who: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror (2020)
A step in the right direction
Nothing can undo the horrible episodes since Chibnall took over, but this episode had some pretty good aspects, but the acting from the main cast and the dialogue continue to be awful. The actor who played Tesla was pretty great to be honest. Maybe they'll start making better episodes after this. It still wasn't good, but it did give me hope for Doctor Who, even if it's just a little.
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part One (2020)
Why did I think things would get better?
RIP Doctor Who, any piece of hope I had left for this show to be good is gone. And this wasn't even the worst episode since Chibnall took over.
Doctor Who: The Power of Three (2012)
Great episode until the ending
I use to love this episode so much, but I realised why I did: the first part is great, the relationship with the Doctor, Amy and Rory developing and being seen from a different perspective is very interesting. The concept of the cubes invading Earth is actually pretty good, it's a great setup for an episode, but the ending is awful. The villain is very bad, the conflict is very rushed. This is a great episode in terms of character, but the story of the episode itself needed a better resolution, because the setup was pretty solid. Even if it has its flaws, it's one of the best Chibnall episode, especially after the awful season 11
Mr. Robot: eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00 (2017)
I may be overreacting a little right now...
BUT THIS IS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER WATCHED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Okay. It's out of my system. This show is a masterpiece, and this episode just shows why it is a masterpiece. 20/10. AMAZING
The Defenders (2017)
Very disappointing
I love Daredevil, The Punisher and the first season of Jessica Jones, and while Luke Cage wasn't great it was still decent, which is apparent in Defenders because Mike Colter and Kristen Ritter's acting with the Daredevil part of the story are the only things that made this show tolerable. The writing was all over the place, motivations shifted from one scene to the next, the villains were awful, especially Alexandra and every time Danny Rand appeared I was completely bored. Finn Jones is awful in this and his character is even worse. But there are some positives: the cinematography on the earlier episodes was pretty solid, every one from Daredevil is interesting and acts very well, Jessica is funny, Mike Colter is charismatic and the last episode wasn't bad. My investment in this universe made me watch this entirely the day it came out, now it's been 2 years when I rewatched it and it was far worse than I remember, however the ending of this show starts Daredevil season 3 which is perfect so that's good. Overall boring with bad writing with interesting scenes sometimes and some attempts at making this show different, but it stills feels flat and generic, exactly the opposite of Daredevil and the Punisher. Netflix could have done better.
