Out of all the movies I've seen that involve monsters and telepathic abilities, Stephanie had one of the most interesting concepts to it's story. It was really interesting how in the first half of the movie (here come the spoilers) that we see Stephanie alone, trying to take care of herself in a world ridden with Invasion of unknown species. I got the chills hearing the monster when Stephanie was in her blanket hideout that she made with a dining table and chairs.
However, there were parts of the movie that were a little too slow in my opinion. Those parts included when Stephanie was walking through the dark hallways and it took quite some time to create the scare scenes we were looking for. Yet, towards the end, the movie picked up the pace where Stephanie revealed herself as the true monster. This part though was quite sad because Stephanie turned on her parents.
All and all, the concept was very interesting, especially because of the fact that the main protagonist is a child, a child of peculiar character.
