Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow (2013)
A perfect addition to the Scooby-Doo shorts
Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Scarecrow (2013) Voices: Mindy Cohn, Frank Welker, Grey DeLisle-Griffin, Matthew Lillard, Kelly Hu, Josh Keaton, Wendie Malick. Run Time: 22 min. Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Scarecrow is a great Halloween short for the series and it has great animation at that. The gang arrives at a town called Cobb Corner and they investigate the mystery of a scarecrow that comes to life after a witch cast a spell on the town for driving her away. The gang comes across many suspicious faces and they have to figure out who is actually doing behind the mystery and also find out who had hidden the money in the cornfield as well. This short will not disappoint and your children or yourself will enjoy it as part of your collection.
Ghost Shark (2013)
Not as exciting as most Sy Fy movies this year...
Ghost Shark (2013) Stars: Mackenzie Rosman, Sloane Coe, Dave Davis, Richard Moll.
Ghost Shark is about this shark that comes back from the grave and exacts vengeance for being killed. So, these teenagers try to stop it from killing other innocent people before it's too late. There's also this weird lighthouse keeper (played even more weirdly by Richard Moll) who lost his wife some time ago and just yells random crap every turn. It's not the best movie, but it provides you with some great kills, including the one in the police station.
4/10
Sharknado (2013)
Good plot, but lacking...
Sharknado (2013) Starring: Ian Ziering, John Heard, Tara Reid
Sharknado has a good plot running for it, but it's lacking in good acting. John Heard did provide some good comic relief, but it doesn't really help the movie. I'm not trying to nag or anything, but maybe some of these shark movies needs an actual puppet, not relying on CGI all the time. I will say that it's worth watching on a day where there's nothing on the television or you just want some cheesy fun. I will say that Cassie Scerbo, Ian Ziering and John Heard provided some good acting, but not a whole lot. They are really the only ones that are believable in this movie. Give this movie a shot for a sit back in the couch day. Also, hasn't anybody heard of running away from the sharks instead of just staying or standing there!!?
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
A perfect movie!!
The Shawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies I have seen in sometime. The first time I saw it was in my Film & Literature class and I loved it from start to finish. It keeps you thinking and even if you read the novella, there is changes to it. There are many foreshadowing in it that could help you figure out what's happening later in the story and overall. Many film fans should check it out and even later buy it if you want. The film also has many likable characters as well and you'll have some of those funny moments (but not a lot). It's a movie that you'll watch again and again.
Stars: Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Clancy Brown, William Sadler, Mark Rolston. Year: 1994
