Death Note: Desu nôto (2006)
Masterpiece!
I don't usually watch Anime and I don't like the fact that they're mostly based on physical fights and powers. However, Death Note is completely different. It's a psychological and all about mind games. Everything is great in this Anime; art, cinematography, screenplay, character development, etc.
I really recommend it, specially to the people who don't enjoy watching other Anime.
Rick and Morty: One Crew over the Crewcoo's Morty (2019)
My brain is fried
Absolute perfection! Classic Rick and Morty. A lot of plot twists, cool jokes, cameos and so on!
Chernobyl (2019)
Absolutely stunning!
This is TV done right.
Every aspect of this series is done perfectly. You can truly feel the horror. You feel sympathetic, sad, and angry at times.
It's a masterpiece.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
As Kit Harrington said: "Dissapointing"
What a load of nonsense! The story makes some sense but the way they showed it is totally unacceptable!
- Why would Grey Worm accept Jon and Tyrion's faith after showing that he's such a hot head?!
- Why would Bran be interested to be the king when they showed that he has no interest in anything other than being an observer?!
- Why would everyone agree to Bran's being the king while they barely know anything about him with a five minute speech from Tyrion Lannister who happened to be the hand of the queen to the queen who burnt down the whole city?
- Why would Drogon not kill Jon?! Just because he's a Targryen? I mean it doesn't matter if he killed his mom?
- Where the hell did Jon go in the end anyways?! Perhaps he went for a hike....
- Why would Bronn be the master of coin for Bran?! Wasn't he a greedy sell-sword? Bran should be aware that he's not worthy to be part of the council.
- If Jon really loves Danny to the final moment he wouldn't have sone it. I mean who kills their lover for the good of the realm? It needed more build up for this to make sense.
- The whole tunnels was totally intact while there was a pile of bricks just where Jamie and Cersei were standing.
- While Arya had an open wound, which means barely a couple of months passed after KL's being torched - and telling by the length of Jon's beards - they rebuilt the red keep to the full. How is that even possible.
It (2017)
Abysmal
I can't believe this movie's receiving so much attention and positive reviews. I watched the movie, and the opening was humorous enough to make me burst in to laugh. This movie is nowhere near scary, even for a teenager. Apart from the mediocre cast, everything is horrendous including the CGI, cinematography, directing, and the worst of them all, sound effects. It reminded me of children's animations like Tom and Jerry, making jolly noises hitting each other with baseball bats. Furthermore, IT does not deserve to be on screens, let alone receiving so much publicity. I've been in IMDb for almost 10 years, however, I rarely write any reviews. Nevertheless, this movie was so awful that it obliged me to write this review and warn other people to think twice before wasting their precious time on a movie which is not horror neither is it worth watching.
Knight of Cups (2015)
The ultimate experience
Terrance Malick's latest movie, is not your regular movie, but an audiovisual experience. It is divided into nine chapters, each named after a tarot card and representing Rick's(Christian Bale) relationship with a person. If you consider each tarot card's meaning, you can fully understand what each chapter is trying for you to percept. Eight chapter's of denial and misery in life of broken screen-writer, until he meets Elizabeth(Natalie Portman) whom he finds redemption with. To the people giving this movie a one-star rating: If you can't understand the movie, don't watch it, or at least don't write a review. If you don't appreciate cinematic arts, you can enjoy regular movies, there are lots of them, just leave this side of cinema alone.
The Hateful Eight (2015)
Pretty good movie
This is my first review in almost 7years of using IMDb. I'm really surprised by all the bad reviews people are giving this movie. What's not to like? Simple and fluid plot, good acting, good directing and usual Tarantino visual effects and maybe mediocre cinematography. If you're hating the movie, you should go watch something like avengers. I'm not saying Avengers is a bad movie, but you know what I'm talking about... It's a good movie indeed, if you're a Tarantino fan, you should watch it. If you like movies that happen mostly on a stage, you should also watch it. If you expect to see a western/action movie, this movie is not right for you.
