Snowpiercer: Setting Itself Right (2022)
Filler that drags on
Felt this episode was yet another filler one. Really dragged out for character development, painfully so. The show overall is starting to get too many cliche cheesy "sentimental" moments, like the one in this episode where Layton describes what a fantasized New Eden is going to be like to dying Asha. I mean - how many times has this exact thing been done in Hollywood productions? I don't think that a show needs to avoid ALL such clichés in order to be a good show, but I do think a good show needs to try to not repeat such momenta over and over again.
I'm really not sure why but things appear to have taken a big down turn, for me, in terms of writing in this show. Fingers crossed there will be more interesting, original and truly gripping content in the episodes to come.
