I refuse to call this the directorial debut of Woody Allen. In a matter of fact, he himself calls it an odd little abhorrent project. Long and boring it's unbearable once the first three jokes are done. Five minutes of this plain joke? That's ok. A feature length? Come on! It has no relevance in Woody Allen's career; for me Take the Money and Run keeps being the true beginning of this phenomenal filmmaker. I didn't like it one iota. Forgettable.
