Project Blue Book (2019)
Goes hand in hand with Ancient Aliens and X-Files
Several times on Ancient Aliens tv series, they reference the Project Blue Book files. What I like about each episode of PBB tv series, is that it has a small section of info from the actual real life PBB files. If you look at the show as a story of what "could" have really happened during each file investigation, it frees up your mind from expecting a documentary about each PBB file case. It's a loose representation of the investigations, not the documented investigations themselves. Just relax and let your imagination enjoy it! If you want a factual account, look elsewhere. I, for one, like to stimulate my mind to new possibilities, so I DO enjoy this show.
Us (2019)
Waste of time and storyline
Stupid is the word for this flick. It reminded me of one of those B type horror movies that went straight to vhs. Very very campy. No psychological thriller aspect, enough bloody gore to be called a horror film, more than a comedy film. Every moment you almost say out loud, "how can they be so stupid?" Lots of F bombs, and a disgusting rap song about disrespecting police officers. Completely uncalled for and wrong for the moment they used it for. All in all, a waste of time and money. Wait for Redbox, then you only lose a buck or two, but you'll still lose the time!
Game of Thrones (2011)
Fantasy as Fantasy SHOULD be watched!
First thing I think you have to understand is that THIS IS NOT EARTH being portrayed here! You can't say "it was like that back then" or compare it to the morals of earth human beings. It is utter fantasy and that is why you need an open mind to truly enjoy this series. It stretches your imagination, your limits of morals and right and wrong. That is the fantastic part about this series! In order to truly enjoy it you need to put your mind in the mind of each character and allow yourself to BE a part of the show. Then you can really get hooked into the show! Then you can watch and enjoy each moment and episode by episode you will get pulled in deeper till you are biting your nails down to nubs till the next episode/season. When that happens, THEN you know beyond a shadow of a doubt...you are watching Fantasy as Fantasy SHOULD be watched! All hail to the Throne...and whoever deserves to be sitting on it in the end!
Baby Snatcher (1992)
See the true story on Lt. Joe Kendra Homicide Hunter!
This true story was shown on the tv series, Lt. Joe Kendra, Homicide Hunter. He was the detective played by by David Duchovny! It was neat to see it from a detective's point of view!
ATM (2012)
Good to Rent or watch on Cable
Ok, everyone seemed to be shooting this movie down. Luckily I didn't read the reviews till after I watched the movie. I thought it was good, the mystery bad man had very limited resources to use but he used them quite well to scare the hell out of three young adults. There were no claws, no fancy weapons, no setup funhouse. Truly, if you wanted to trap someone in an ATM kiosk you have limited ways of doing it! This used just a minimum of what other movies would use to achieve the same scare. I really recommend you rent it at Redbox or see it on cable (Showtime) or even Amazon video. Watch it alone at night and you'll never look at an ATM walk in kiosk the same ever again! Just don't always go by others reviews, even mine, you may miss out on something good.
Emergency! (1972)
Heartthrobs and Heart Attacks- what more could a girl want?
OK, I'm glad to know I'm not the only gal who thought Randolph Mantooth was an absolute heartthrob!! Even though I was born in 72 my mother always said that when she watched the show with me in her arms, I would fall asleep to the sound of the siren! Guess I was an Emergency fan from the cradle on!! As I grew up I remember my mom saying how Dr. Brackett made her heart go pitter-patter! Then one day I saw the reruns and was hooked, just like mom!! But it wasn't Dr. Brackett that made my heart go pitter-patter,(sorry Robert!) it was Johnny Gage!!! Sure the other guys were good looking, but Johnny was my main man! My mother just laughed and said "he is quite a hottie!" while I was glued to the screen! Soon, mom and I would sit down together every day and watch the reruns! It was more than just the excitement of the rescues and the chance to see my newest crush, it was the time I got to spend with my mother. Now I own every DVD I could find, all 6 seasons and the Final Rescue! As I've watched the DVD's and learned more about Randolph Mantooth, I realized that I couldn't have picked a better person to have a schoolgirl crush on!! Thank you Emergency, for giving us a crew of actors/actresses that were not only great on screen but off screen as well!! Each with unique attributes you would be hard pressed to find in today's big screen/TV actors/actresses! Randolph is still a heartthrob to this day!! Must be that Indian blood! But most of all, thanks Emergency for giving us all a show that parents and kids could watch together and show to their own kids when they got older!! Even though she is gone, when I watch the DVD's, I can still feel my mother's heart go pitter-patter along with mine when our two favorite heartthrobs are on the screen! Thanks guys!!
