Tower Heist (2011)
Wanted To Like It...
Well first things first, the movie went by so quick. I mean they had some laughable jokes, but not incredibly funny.
What I'm trying to say, is that the movie is where they lose their job, find money and give it away, and I just thought they weren't going to down right get to the problem of all this because they didn't have hardly any obstacles against them (besides security guards, that's it).
This movie was alright, but it wasn't great, or horrible. I don't recommend you see this, unless you are interested in watching a movie where people steal money. I wrote this review 4/10 because it was a little on the downside.
If you are interested in another movie, I heard that they are going to be making Lois Lowry's, "The Giver", into a movie(might be coming out next year). Just a heads up.
Jack and Jill (2011)
One of the best films this year!
This movie is so amazing and funny, I nearly cried because it was so funny. Dennis Dugan has made a work making this film. I feel amazed and astonished because I haven't seen so many great films this year.
I love how Adam Sandler plays both his roles, man and women. He really takes it funny with the role of Jill, and Jack (how he gets so annoyed with Jill). I sat there in the theater (when it was finished), hoping there would be more to it.
This was so much better than any of these movies: Abduction, The Big Year, Harry PotterVII, and The Smurfs.
I recommend you watch this movie, even if you're not into comedy films. It is a good use of money because the whole family will laugh. I hope they make a remake to this, because I would be first in line to see it.
Abduction (2011)
Not Good
First off the movie starts with Nathan(Taylor Lautner) is sitting on the front of a car, going at least 80 M.P.H. The police doesn't see them, nope keep driving like you were. They go to a party, get drunk, and fall asleep on their yard, that's fine, sure. Next he has his shirt off laying there, but he's the only one.
Nathan goes to his house, his dad is happily standing there to fight him! So this goes on for at least 20 min. His mom comes out, just standing there while his father beats the crap out of him.
It goes on when he finds his name on a missing person's website. So he has to get away from the bad guys, until the people are gone.
At the end of this horrible film, everyone dies in his family, his fake mom and dad, real mom dies, and doesn't even know his real dad.
I can't wait until some of the other films this year comes out. If I were any of you I recommend you save your money for a better movie.
King Kong (2005)
One of Peter Jackson's best films ever!
Contains Spoiler
This movie has got to be the best I have seen! I love how Peter Jackson's special and visual effects fall into place wit this film.
It starts out with Ann Darrow(Naomi Watts) broke at a theater. Then Carl Denhem(Jack Black) is looking for a leading lady for his new film. So he meets up with Ann Darrow to shoot his film on a mysterious island, with the screenplay of Jack Driscoll(Adrien Brody).
When they get to the island it is so amazing. It made the Jurassic Park producers look embarrassed. Then they got to the island meeting the local natives. This scene was probably one of my favorites in the film. The natives weren't to scary or unrealistic they were meant to be in this film. Unlike the 1933 version where they looked like Indians.
So after that the natives steal Ann sacrificing her to King Kong. Kong is so amazing, realistic, anything a giant ape would suppose to look like. His love with Ann I thought was a good twist to this remake. I mean in the other films Ann is screaming each time Kong touches her!
In the end, of course, Kong dies by the airplane, but it had that emotion when Kong reaches for her. It's like a rope is connecting that force between them. I loved this movie, and I would like to see them remake it again, if possible.
