Bunnyman Vengeance (2017)
a great end to the franchise
Bunnyman Vengeance is a great end to the franchise. Bunnyman Vengeance is a throwback to the old school film making when filmmakers had to rely on imagination to make these kinds of movies, not millions of dollars. Bunnyman Vengeance is an example of what can accomplished on a very limited budget, with limited actors on basically one location. The people who made are real artist who knows how to tell a compelling story with visually arresting imagery. Yes, the acting is questionable for the most part, but we have to realize this is a low non union film. Your not gonna get great actors in these low budget horror films. I prefer to focus on the positive, what was made out of very little, and appreciate the accomplishment that was pulled off. It's a better way to appreciate life in general. Bunnyman Vengeance is good, check the film out.
The Fate of the Furious (2017)
beyond dumb
The franchise has officially jumped the shark. I've seen the previous films in the franchise multiple times. and this film I actually had to turn off. The problems started in Part 7, when Vin Diesel stomps the ground, says the streets fight back, and the asphalt breaks apart. It sounds just as stupid as I write this, then to see it play out. This film just continues the downward trajectory of the franchise.
Bunnyman (2011)
surreal imagery
Here we go again. I am writing this review to counteract some of the idiocy in the other reviews. This movie is not for everyone, no movie is. It is a well shot, slow-paced, moody, and unique horror movie. It is asinine to critique a film for not being something you expect it to be. That is the exact reason why I love the film, well played.
The film has surreal imagery, a example pointed out was a scene with a giant bunny listening to classic music as it tortures a blonde girl. What I like is that the film has a David Lynch type surrealism, but always stays in the confines of a comprehensive story. The film has more interest in doing things unique, unexpected then just showing another gory scene of some blonde bimbo being killed.
I think we can agree, whether you love the film or hate it, (I happen to love the film) we should all appreciate filmmakers wanting to make unique horror films and encourage them, or we'll just get another countless sequel to Friday the 13th.
The Return of the Living Dead (1985)
a classic
I love this film. it's campy, but not in a cheesy way.... more in a enjoy the ride way. and who can resist the line, "send more brains" it's clever and funny, but not cheesy. what really impresses me is the balance between horror and humor. you have great horror make up effects, that are balanced with humor. it's just a fun ride, although followed up with pointless sequels that diminish the brand. stick with the original. it's interesting how this is a offshoot of the night of the living dead, and it's kinda interesting how they spun off two sequels, one with George Romero going the serious route, and then this variation where you have the "fun" route.
