The Midnight Club (2022)
Offensively boring and cringe.
4/10
I don't know what everyone else is watching but this is both boring, poorly written, full of cliches and not scary. Why does everyone overhype anything Mike Flanagan does? Haunting of Hill House was a great show, well written, decent scares. Everything he's done since has been awful (Bly Manor) and boring (Midnight Mass).
This show was sold on scares and all we got was 50 minute episodes of character cliches being annoying teenagers and one or two very cheap and predictable jump scares.
The scariest thing about this show is the writing, acting and directing. Please stop hyping Mike Flanagan. Everything he touches now is trash.
Yours truly, a real horror fan.
How to Become a Tyrant (2021)
How does Chairman Mao not have an episode?
Interesting series but bothers me that we don't have an episode to Chairman Mao. One of the biggest tyrants to ever live.
Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Bland.
Painfully dull story, predictable and felt like they just put it in an "Asian" background for diversity sake without really portraying Asian culture with any detail whatsoever.
Sweet Tooth (2021)
Is everyone reviewing this high?
This is average at best. People giving this anything above a 6 haven't seen a real series with solid writing and story. Gus is possibly the most infuriating character I've seen in a show in a long while. I don't care if he's a kid, he's just annoying and is constantly being bailed out of trouble because he doesn't listen to anyone around him.
WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
Underwhelming, like the rest of the show.
Disappointing that so many people are rating this so highly. Overhyped mediocre TV with very meh writing and terrible pacing.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Filled with terrible accents and a plot where nothing really happens
Disappointing and filled with some of the worst British accents I've ever heard and a story that leaves a lot to be desired. Not a horror by any means. This is a show that could've been a 1.5 hour film that would've saved 9 hours of your life.
