Reviews
Whitney (2011)
Not as bad as everyone is making this out to be...
Okay I have literally read through most of these reviews and I must say I am disappointed.
First off,
I watch a ton of different shows and I actually look forward to this one on Wednesday nights. It is hard to get me to watch a show and stick with it and be loyal. This one got me from the start. It not amazing but I think it delivers enough raunchy lines that is I would say "Whitney Cummings" that make the show funny. I think the supporting cast is quite enjoyable and funny as well.
Don't forget she also produces 2 Broke Girls which is pretty funny as well but I would say that the joke content is about the same for both shows because it is her behind both of these shows.
My rating 7 for the both of them.
People just sit back relax and catch a few laughs (that will surely come your way) because if you understand Cummings and her dry humor and appreciate it like I do I am sure you will enjoy this show.
No way is this as horrible as most the haters on this review board are putting out, Normally I don't comment much on things but in this case I couldn't let this show get blasted so much like this.
Over and Out.
Little Murder (2011)
It was okay!
What I loved best about this movie was the fact that it took place in New Orleans. From the surroundings to the music to the characters seemed pretty authentic to me having visited a few times in my life. I am in love with the south but a northern city boy at heart.
As far as the move goes it was just okay for me. It is in sorts a weird thriller/drama/mystery type of movie. The characters were good and I especially liked Lake Bell and Josh Lucas. Terrence Howard played a weirdo but complimented the overall movie.
This movie is about the murder of a young woman, a mentally challenged brother that was blamed for it, but really a plot to cover this (is what they make you think it is about) and a lonely detective that cannot let the past go and grows to love this woman he trying to help (dead of course).
Overall, 5 out of 10. There are far better ones out there in this genre but wasn't as bad as some I have seen as well.
