Only made it 90 min in, but I think I've seen enough. As 100%, everyone across the board has mentioned, this movie is literally incredibly dark. I can't even see what's going on. It straight up steals from other serial killer / heavy rain atmospheres. Did they think they could get away with it?? It's a carbon copy cut out and not subtle enough to be successful. The dialogue wasn't intelligent. Actors miscast and out of place. Cat woman was okay, but mainly forgettable. Batman was just a brood and probably the worst Bruce Wayne yet. I mean what a joke. Pattinson did fine I guess but he wasn't given much to work with here. The Riddler may have been my least favorite part about this movie. He feels so forced!! They steal from Dark Knight and his character is just weak. I couldn't stand him! Maybe I'm reaching but it seems like they tried to emulate Ledger's dominating presence in this character and it didn't work at all. I get that Gotham isn't supposed to be the best place on earth, but this rendition was an absolute mess. Who would ever live here? It's depressing, trash filled, and crawling with criminals. We didn't need this movie. How about an original take instead of spitting out this cash grab? 2/10 stars because I feel it's unfair for me to give a 1 without finishing it. But oh boy does it deserve it.
