Light of My Life (I) (2019)

Complete Waste of Time
30 April 2022
I saw this on my laptop, and it was so incredibly slow and predictable that I was able to fast forward through most of it. It took about 20 minutes to watch the whole thing, and even that was too much. Deleted it immediately off my laptop because it was certainly not worth the space it occupied. Yawn.

Can you love someone who is not real?
19 October 2018
In recent years, many movies have played with the idea of love and emotion between humans and machines, however this movie in particular, was able to ask the fundamental question beautifully: is it really possible to love a machine? Throughout the film, I kept asking myself interesting questions, and as one reviewer has put it perfectly, the movie raises a lot of questions I really had never thought about before.

Fantastic Sci Fi
28 April 2018
I know that some old-time fans of the show may be disappointed that this version of Star Trek is different from the 80s and 90s, BUT, and this is a big but, this does not mean that the current version is poor. In fact, the opposite is true. If you take this series and consider it in a vacuum, without bias and without prejudice, you would agree that it is one of the best sci fi shows on TV today. It is simply excellent and I hope that the producers will continue for many seasons to come (I just wish there were more vulcans in the series!)

Garbage
4 April 2018
I am so sorry that for the first time in my life, I walked out of a Star Wars movie. This was so disappointing. As a young father, every moment I spend outside of the house without my kid has to be justified, and after about an hour of this garbage, I could not suppress my conscience anymore, and walked out to go home and spend more time with my kid. This piece of garbage had no character development, horrible edits, basically ruined Luke Skywalker's character and turned him into a hobo. I am so frustrated right now. They've ruined Star Wars.

A work of art
29 August 2015
This movie is in a class of its own. It is a feast for the senses: like a work of art, a painting, or a poem. It is a gentle breeze of fresh air, in a lonely, nonspiritual world. Unlike anything I had experienced before, in the venue in which I saw the film, the majority of viewers broke down in tears of awe at least once during the showing. You could see people shed tears all around. One lady nearby let out whimpers all along, as the film was just too strong for her to control her emotions. Amazing. Just a note for the producers if they ever read this: I wish that after all 3 parts are released, the entire trilogy is shortened into one single film for those who do not have the patience to sit through a 10 hour marathon (of all 3 parts). I think for an impatient viewer, joining all 3 parts into a 2-3 hour movie would be an excellent fit.

Counter-educational
2 November 2011
The movie tried it's best to destroy notions of positive feminine gender roles in families and in societies. I believe that some sort of extreme feminist lobbying must have been behind the production of this film rendering it to nothing more than feminist propaganda. I understand that women should have their rights and freedoms; but this does not mean neglecting positive gender roles which are very much in line with our natural and physiological make-up. I dislike it when, in the name of women's rights, some very basic virtues and beautiful feminine traits are targeted, demonized, and looked upon disdainfully. As if being a good wife or a good mother is shameful! The movie did not fail at delivering very detrimental propaganda against the health of natural gender roles within families and societies. So don't watch this, unless you're some bra-burning, gender-role bashing, feminist.
