The Starling (2021)
Sign me up for his rehab!
Very good movie. I'm a bit emotional so not sure if it's the movie or me. Others say it's the movie. Nice to see Melissa in stole that isn't 100% comedy. She's rally a great actress better than just a couple laughs.
Wish ending was different but won't spoil it for you. It not bad. Just would've written different. Vet psych and his nurse don't get enough credit. And not enough back story on vet. Should be been more of the store.
Get Organized with the Home Edit (2020)
Too much talking and not a lot of actual working
I wanted to like this show so much being a Virgo who loves to organize but there's very little actual organizing happening and more talk of it happening. The hosts are way too star struck over everything.
A California Christmas (2020)
Not a holiday movie gratefully
Not a fan of Christmas movies (don't judge) but this isn't a Christmas movie despite the title. Typical boy lies then falls in love and has to own up and make it all right. It was cute with out me wanting to fast forward too often.
Death Comes to Pemberley (2013)
Loved it despite its flaws
So many bad reviews that I'm surprised I watched it at all. I agree it was lacking in the costume department. Elizabeth seemed to wear the same dress or nearly the same one daily. A woman of her means should have better clothing. It also lacked in staff housing. No footman, not butler, not lady's maid. They're should have been a chef and a maid for the chef. All those maids in the kitchen should have been busy I'm the house. It wasn't true to the time.
That aside I rather enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for period pieces. I loved seeing it all play out. I wanted more when it was all said and done.
North & South (2004)
How the North changed one girl
I had not read the book and I'm ashamed to say I haven't read many of the classics but why read them when I can watch them so beautifully? I loved watching how each character changed in the duration of the four episodes and wished it was longer. You really felt Margaret's disdain and then loyalty to the union workers plight. It's like she really was looking from the outside and seeing both sides. Well done!
