Charity Shop Sue (2019)
How on earth is this show not more widely known?
Stumbled across this gem of a show just now and I'm hooked already. We all know someone like Sue; that cigarette cough and the passive aggressive laugh is absolutely spot on! The supporting actors do a fantastic job as well! I won't say more because spoilers but if you haven't seen it, do so. Please please please can the BBC pick this up and commission at least a couple of seasons?

For the love of Kaelego please let there be a season 2!
Loved this! Don't listen to the reviews slating this series. Such a fun ride 😎 Won't post any spoilers here but I just have to know what happens next to Dan and Melody. Binged the whole series and nearly threw the remote at the screen at the finale plot twist. If you haven't already watched this, why are you still reading, go and see it 🤣 10/10.
Wolf Like Me (2022)
A wild ride
Don't listen to the reviews that slated this show. Loved this. So much fun to watch! The acting was spot on and I found myself rooting for the 3 main characters. Here's wishing for a season 2, this story needs to continue. 10/10.
Watchmen (2009)
Perhaps I missed something...
... but I hated this movie - it had a promising start but to be honest the last half hour or so felt like the screen writers, cast and director were simply running out of things to say. I am aware, of course, that this is based on a comic book and that the movie follows the original plot but the ending left me cringing - frankly I felt like Rorschack by the end and also wanted to scream 'FINISH IT!'. The dialogue became increasingly stilted and the plot... well, lets just say that I found it hard to believe (and I'm usually pretty easy to please, plot wise!).
There are two notable reasons for watching this, however - The Comedian and Rorschack. Both deliver very watchable performances but sadly, in my opinion, didn't deliver enough to save this movie for me.
Let Them Eat Cake (1999)
An absolutely fabulous comedy!
If you like 'French and Saunders style' humour then you'll love this series. In my opinion it received somewhat unfair and certainly overly harsh criticism at the time it was first aired. I seem to recall certain criticisms being leveled at the character development - well what were people expecting, a high quality period drama? This was never meant to be accurate, it delivered exactly what was promised - a comedy BASED around the time of the French revolution. Other posters have already outlined the main characters so I will simply say that the cast worked together beautifully to deliver a seamless performance.
A pity only one season was ever made, although apparently this was always the intention (hence the final line delivered by Jennifer Saunders), although I always felt that there was definitely scope for more episodes. It will remain a favourite with me for many years.
