Wagon Train: The Will Santee Story (1961)
Phenomenal Episode
I've been watching vintage Western TV shows with my husband recently. Gunsmoke, Tales of Wells Fargo, Wagon Train, etc. Many of them show mean actions toward what I refer to as "the least and the last" of us. This episode appeared to follow that same model. At one point the Santee mother reveals all the heartache that she endured raising the older one of her sons. Her monologue lasted quite some time. It touched my heart and moved me. I could feel her pain and it reminded me of real life events we read about now. The ending though, the ending just took my breath away! I started to shout at my husband once they said that the stranger had been tracking them all the way from New York City where he had been a successful actor. And I knew who this character had to be! Don't want to spoil it by saying who it was but I shouted to my husband, "He's ********" The monologue that Denny Miller's character spoke was beautiful. He delivered his entire message and both my husband and I had tears in our eyes. It gave me goosebumps. Amazing episode.
Miss Meadows (2014)
Underrated hidden jewel that you must watch
I really liked this golden nugget. This type of role seems different for what I've seen of Katie Holmes. Wow did she nail this one! I became lost in her when she was Miss Meadows. Her mild mannered teacher/vigilante was portrayed perfectly. I felt such compassion and sometimes tenderness for her in the face of enormous loss. Her facial expressions alone revealed the pain and sadness she'd experienced while she steadfastly continued to live a "good" life of kindness and courage. The supporting cast added more jewels to this crown of a movie. I loved the portrayal of Mike the Sheriff. I thought that he showed deep warmth and insight. The dialogue between Miss Meadows and the Sheriff was especially engaging for me. I thought the writing was exceptional, especially the dialogue. The plot moved along nicely and I found myself rooting for a happy ending. Did anyone else love the colors in this movie?
Love Upstream (2021)
What a breath of fresh air!
I watch a ton of Hallmark movies and often I stop watching halfway through. But this movie, an Upstream movie, really struck an original chord with me. The witty dialogue made this movie stand out from the average romance. The romantic leads stood out as believable and refreshing. 10 out of 10.
Bless This Mess (2019)
Unbelieably engaging, entertaining, and amazing. Please do not cancel this!
This show is phenomenal! The writing is amazing. Each line of dialogue seems to be pure gold. The characters make this show enthralling. As the cast of characters have developed they only serve to keep me memorized as I watch each show. Please please please network gods, if I have ever earned any good will in my life, please do not take this show away. This show is bliss.
The Moodys (2019)
Magic... Christmas & TV MAGIC
Oh my goodness. I thought I might be entertained but I did not expect to be enthralled by this amazing ensemble show! The dialogue is authentic. The characters are real. They all play off of one another in such an effortless way. The writing is spectacular. The acting is out of this world. I find myself rooting for each person and want the scenes to go on forever. What a phenomenal blend of humor, drama, romance, and love. Can we make sure that this show goes on forever? Pretty please?
Imaginary Mary (2017)
Please KEEP this show on TV!
Holy Mother of Pearl please keep this show on television. I just love it. I deal with neglected and abused children at my job all day long. This show provides me with not only entertainment but hope... hope for all families. The show provides great insight into our leading lady's mind via her imaginary pal. All the doubts, insecurities, mistakes, admitting when you were wrong, etc. do happen in real life. I have blended families myself so this rings very true to home with me. The three children have individual personalities that are genuine, written in such a way that it doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence. Please keep this show on. Pretty please?
