Dark Shadows and Beyond - The Jonathan Frid Story (2021)
Great documentary
This is a very interesting documentary about Jonathan Frid in general. They show photos which you won't find online, archival footage and recording. I spent all my earned credits on Prime to rent it and I'm not disappointed. There are a lot of references to Dark Shadows, Interviews with actors who played there. Lot's of good stuff.
The only reason I didn't give this movie 10 stars is because they tried to compare Jonathan and Johnny Depp. It was only for a minute or two but long enough to leave a disgusts expression on my face.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
The Conjuring series never disappoints.
This is the best suspense horror series I've seen. It is totally classic. The suspense is always good, not too long, not too fake, the actors are perfect, the footage, the story, the vibe. Beautiful piece of artwork.
I See You (2019)
If you only wait to the end you won't be disappointed.
At first the movie seems a bit dull, maybe too slow or boring, but when the story unfold itself it starts making sense. The ending and explanation is really good. You won't be left with questions about how and what actually happened. Everything is clear at the end. It is creative and surprising. Definitely worth watching.
What We Do in the Shadows (2019)
The best movie series I have ever seen.
Seriously. This is the best movie series I've ever seen. It is a masterpiece in every meaning. Storyline, acting performance, characters and the vibe between them, jokes, originality, unpredictability, action, special effects, footage, style, interiors, costumes, the list goes on. Everything about this show is 10 stars. I bow to the creators of this pure perfection!
I beg of you, creators of this show, never stop making more episodes!
The Hummingbird Project (2018)
Good movie, I recommend
Just enough unpredictable, superb acting, interesting story and nice ending. I thought that I will be dissapointed but I wasn't. Watching Alexander Skarsgård becoming asexual nerd was enough rewarding.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
This movie tells touching story and bring back memories that's all.
It is more like "inspired by" not a biography. Forget about accuracy what really happened. Also Freddie was a sexual life force with brown eyes, everybody knows that. The actor who played him is a nerdy caucasian looking guy with gray eyes of a sad puppy. Was it really so hard to hire somebody right for this role?
The Magicians (2015)
Priceless!!!
I love this show like an addict. I hope they will never stop making it. Here is what I like about it.
CAST is perfect. These young actors did an excellent job bringing their characters to life. Everybody is unique and likable.
DIALOGS, funny jokes and metaphors, creative language, each sentence is like a little gem.
STORY, complex, pretty unpredictable, interesting, original.
Off course some of ideas directly rip off Harry Potter, Narnia and probably more, but it's a good rip off, I swear :) Besides, they have so many original plots that I've never seen anywhere else.
It Comes at Night (2017)
Don't waste your time and patience
You wonder what comes at night, right? NOTHING! No monster, no demon, nothing. Night in this movie is not more significant than the day. People are just sick for no reason, they don't say what causes it, why they are doing what they doing, whole movie is like this. Nothing is explained. Large disappointment and source of frustration this movie is!
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
It's OK
This movie starts for ever but if you survive first 30 minutes I believe it is worth watching. The beginning is really boring and annoying. I remember wishing that spider-man die for behaving like an idiot with no respect for other people's property. I'm trying to remember only the second half of the movie which is good.
Zoo (2015)
Good story
On the good side, Zoo has an original and creative plot, fast and really unpredictable action. Most of the characters are likable, so you want them to make it. I want to know what happens next and watching it makes me happy. So 10 stars! But... this show is not realistic, our laws of physics simply don't exist there. So I understand that somebody can give this show a low rating, but in this case it doesn't bother me.
Voice from the Stone (2017)
Waste of time for you who seek logic in a movie.
Spoiler alert. Everything about this movie would be great but there is one huge thing what makes it not worth it. There is no logic. Did she make sex with him or she didn't? Did he start falling for her or not? There is a long list of confusing stuff, even the ending is unclear. I was disappointed and angry when it was over. I wish I'd never seen it.
Under the Dome (2013)
Good enough to get hooked on it.
It has many logical holes and some characters don't have consistent personalities. This is the biggest problem with Spielberg's shows. Superficial and not consistent characters. On the good side: the story is pretty interesting, good acting and fast action, so you don't get bored. I will watch another season if they make. I watched some of Spielberg's recent sci-fi shows and I would place them in such order: 1.Extant 2.Under the Dome 3.Minority Report 4.The Whispers. These 2 I gave up after watching 5 episodes: 5.Falling Skies 6.Terra Nova. Totally boring. I also recommend United states of Tara, it is not exactly sci-fi but it's weird enough for people with open mind.
