Amazing
23 July 2005
At first I was skeptical about renting this film and had no intentions of watching it. Not only was it romantic, it didn't seem that it would entertain me as much as I would like. But with all the less than mediocre films coming out of movie theaters today, I was willing to take a chance and sit down open minded. And I have to say that I honestly loved this movie. It was the best I'd seen in awhile. It was hilarious, cute and sweet and it made sense. This wasn't some big budget romantic comedy that only cared about style, sex and satisfying what the hungry sex-crazed public wants at times. (Or at least what they think we want). It had a point and was moving. Kimberly Elise was wonderful and I think that she is no doubt one of the best actresses out there. Shemar Moore was extremely beautiful and touching as usual. I personally think that Tyler Perry is a genius. They don't make movies like this anymore. Especially African-American movies. There's more to the culture than gangs, drugs, sex and rap music. And unfortunately, the media doesn't show that anymore and rarely did in the first place. I was also pleased with the fact that the movie used black actors instead of the trend of hiring rap artists who lack acting talent but can bring in an audience because of their name. It was finally good to see a movie like this this. Great job to the cast and especially to Tyler Perry.

Bad Boys II (2003)

Greatest action film in years
10 October 2004
This film will leave you breathless. If you enjoy fast paced action, comedy, good looking people or are just in the mood for a good movie, this is the film to see. I absolutely loved this movie and haven't been as excited for a

film in a long time. The action is non stop and the chemistry of the lead characters are impressive and amusing. Will Smith does a great job of reprising his role along with Martin Lawrence. What else makes this film enjoyable are the villains. There's Johnny Tapia and the string of other bad guys that are hilarious. But what I loved the most was the action. The highway car chase involving the Haitians and the Hummer at the end along with everything in the middle make this film awesome and amusing. This movie is a perfect 10. You won't be disappointed when watching this. And if you are, I don't know what to say. Micheal Bay should be applauded along with Jerry Bruckheimer for blessing us with this thrill ride.

better than I anticipated
31 July 2004
I honestly will have to say that I wasn't into seeing Ashton Kutcher in anything since his face is plastered everywhere else. But I do like thrillers and interesting plots. However, when I first saw the previews of this film, I doubted it was going to be good. But it was number one at the box office which means little today. But I admit, I loved it. A complete ten in my book. However, things did start out kind of slow but got very interesting and did manage to keep my short attention peaked.

I am extremely impressed with Ashton and how he performed this role. I'm still not a great fan of his but the movie was better than I'd ever expected. I liked the suspense and writing along with the concept, especially the way it made you think. The characters were also impressive along with the entire picture. I really recommend this movie whether you're a fan of the star or a movie that beckons you to think or if you just want to sit down and relax while watching a suspense driven plot. Good job.

Crime Spree (2003)
utterly hilarious
28 April 2004
This is the funniest movie I've seen in a long while. Who knew murder could be hilarious? From the opening scenes with the older gentlemen to the last scenes, I laughed my head off. Which wasn't easy because it was 4 a.m. when I watched it. Each scene was extremely clever and held my attention because I knew something wise and funny was about to happen.

I'd have to say that my favorite character was Harvey Keitel's character because he had some really funny lines and funny scenes. But, honestly, every single one of the characters had something that brought this movie together and made it comical. Whether that was the writer's intention, I don't know. But it worked amazingly well. See this movie and enjoy because you will laugh.

Bella Mafia (1997 TV Movie)
breathtaking
28 April 2004
The only thing I have to say about the film BELLA MAFIA is that it is utterly amazing. This is no doubt in my opinion the best drama that I have ever seen. The cast was superb. The writing amazing. The movie drew me in from the first scene. And I admit that I didn't expect it to be good at all. I was sort of just looking for a film to past the time.

The one thing I loved the most was the development in character. As a viewer, I saw all of the characters lives change in great detail. From Sofia to Luca to Moyra. Even though the plot had some violent scenes, the writer managed to put in aspects of loyalty and love which made you kind of root for vengeance against the opposite characters. All in all. One of the best, if not the best in my opinion. If you want drama and action, see this movie.

Pulp Fiction (1994)
1/10
overrated
27 March 2004
I don't know what everyone is talking about, but watching the back of my hand for two hours while a small cat constantly bit me was way more entertaining than watching this movie. I'd put off seeing this movie for years for fear of being bored. Unfortunately, when it was forced in at a party, I couldn't escape. I sat there like a normal person awaiting a plot and something entertaining. However, the words "I don't get it" and "God please make this end!" were constantly repeated in my head over and over again. I think Tarintino is one of a kind and in a good way. I just don't get what's so great about this movie. Bottom line, I still believe that when too many stars enter a film, it will suck. Maybe one day I'll be proven wrong.
