Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
It's probably just me but I don't really like Reva, Leia
This Reva character is poorly casted, I don't know who the actress is but she comes across as trying too hard. And I will have to also add that even if little Leia looks as cute as a button, she becomes immediately annoying everytime she speaks. And something about the way she run reminds me of my little kids when they are still in diapers.
Which begs the question, how difficult is it for a Jedi to catch up with a kid in diapers?
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian (2022)
Book vs Bookmark
Yes, you read the title right.
If the last 4 episodes have taken us through the book of Boba Fett, then episode 5 is more of a bookmark to remind us of what is needed to turn this series into a success. It's sad but true, Boba Fett must go. This is the Way.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (2022)
that bike gang was a real low point
I can't wean off that feeling I've seen something similar but more exciting... oh yes, the Hoverboard Chase Scenes in BTTF 2.
It's not really the sort of action sequences I'm expecting in a Star Wars series. And I don't like the bike gang a single bit, they don't belong in the series and is out of step with the entire Star Wars genre.
I Care a Lot (2020)
This is a real lousy movie. Please avoid it.
I wasted 2 hours of my time here and I sincerely wish you will be spared the error too.
News of the World (2020)
I enjoyed it, but I can understand if some others don't.
It's kinda slow in places, but Tom Hanks delivers as usual.
What's slightly troubling is that Tom Hanks, having been everywhere can carry phantom remnants of his past roles in his current one. There were moments when I felt he was Captain Miller in Saving Private Ryan.
But i still like the movie, and some of the scenes were gorgeous. :)
Away (2020)
The most distracted team tasked to embark on the biggest human endeavour
A task this enormous and these 5 were the creme de la creme?
I can see the underlying message here, if the orange rump can make it to the top rung, these 5 can make it to the red planet.
Space Force (2020)
The only Space needed to enjoy this show is the one between your ears
A removal of cerebral function is prescribed to induce laughter for this sort of 'comedy'. However, Experts are still divided on just how to do this.
Sergio (2020)
I am not sure how to anchor my interest on this movie
It was boring for me and I lost interest quickly after the Initial novelty with seeing Pablo Escobar on screen.
Seeing that the pace didn't pick up, I left the show midway.
Gisaengchung (2019)
It's not what i expected it to be.
By it, i mean Oscar worthy.
Like some of the rest here, i did not get it. With so much discussed about metaphors and the likes, I am either not good enough to read it or too casual not to over-read/read into somethings that's not there in the first place.
The movie tries too hard to be clever and it unfortunately ends up alienating people like me who come in hoping it may draw you in like the Shawshank redemption does.
My humble view notwithstanding, my congratulations to the Director for his Oscar win. It's a fabulous nod to Asian Cinema. It doesn't hurt that a ton of people here enjoy it too. That's the beauty of films, some like it some don't.
Triple Frontier (2019)
A real nonsense.
It's really dumb. It has lazy written all over it.
