Star Trek: Discovery: Species Ten-C (2022)
Amazing Episode
Just overall great. The visuals were on point and the story progressed nicely, it didn't feel rushed at all. There was time to breathe and just overall entertaining.
Maid (2021)
It's like Shameless but without good acting and without the funny bits.
Life is hard - we get it.
The show is nothing special. It's a reflection of the US and how poor people are treated. People who are at a disadvantage will never get on top. This was made clear when the "court" took her child away.
For someone who reads a lot as our main character, the scene in the courtroom was just so insulting to the viewer and to the character. It's beyond believe how something like this made it into the show to begin with.
They probably couldn't spare the time to research.
Poorly done. 3/10 at best.
Shameless: Father Frank, Full of Grace (2021)
Fitting Ending to a great TV Show
I've been watching from day 1 and I've been living with the Gallaghers for 10 Years now, I'm sad the see them go, but it's been a great ride.
The ending was emotional for me, great episode, I just wished that Fiona would show up at some point, because the show was mostly about her until she left, she could've given us a big farewell, but it is what it is.
The Episode itself was what shameless was all about. Life, Death, Joy and Sadness, the good, the bad and the ugly. Superb writing in my opinion.
Thank you so much Cast of Shameless, you've been great.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Big oof
Alright, I won't repeat what others said about this movie already, but I actually kinda liked it.
The Ending though.. The whole movie the Villain never cared about his son AT ALL, and all of a sudden... Oh no, my Son is in danger, I'll give up all that godlike power to go see him.
That was just bad writing, plain and simple.. looks great on paper, but didn't work at all.
At some point he was annoyed about having his son for the weekend, like.. come on man, who wrote this.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Perfection
This Show is one of the best I've seen in 2020. It brings everything to the table, even if you're not that into chess. The Acting is wonderful and all the characters in the show are deep with their own personalities. We know what nearly every character strives to be and wants to be, it's written so wonderfully, I loved it.
Away: Space Dogs (2020)
What the...
What the hell was this episode.. It was such a weird christmas episode, everything was just wrong and cringe.
This bad boy dude invites her to a "surprise"... and where do you think he takes her? To a bar? A cool activity? Something kinky? Nope. CHURCH with his mom.
What did they even think... Jesus Christ.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Wonderful Movie
This has been one of the best movies i've watched in 2020. The story is sweet and engaging, I loved every second of it. This was just a lovely time, thank you <3
Ava (2020)
Ava Wick
A redheaded John Wick with alcohol Problems and Mental issues meets soap opera and bad acting.
My biggest pet peeve was with the alcoholism in the movie. It had no place in there and was completely pointless. The fighting scenes were pretty solid though, which made me feel that it was still worth watching.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Entertaining yet not great
The Movie was alright. I have not seen the original Bill & Ted at all, and I didn't know what to expect at all.
It felt like I was left out of the inside jokes, yet they were pretty funny. Not great, but ok.
I give this a generous 4, it was ok, but I wouldn't rewatch this in a million years.
Legends of Tomorrow: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five (2020)
A bit more lighthearted
The episode was a bit more lighthearted and less serious than the other episodes, in typical legends-style. The fights looked more fun, but if you imagine the actors just punching the air while filming, it's pretty cringe.
The Story was terrible though, the "crisis" ended with episode 4, but they extended it for this fifth episode to add some emotional unnecessary ending that nobody asked for.
Episode 4 was a mess and too fast paced, this episode was too slow with too much filler-time. It could've been done a bit better for sure, but for what it was, it s was a good episode. I expected more, but in the end I enjoyed it.
Acting wise it was solid. Some of the actors were not really invested in the story and you could feel it for sure. Like I said, it's a lot of punching air. Caity Lotz shined throughout this episode, she's the most talented and dedicated actress on the team, really great job from her.
Arrow: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four (2020)
Pretty underwhelming
To be honest, this episode felt really out of place. The acting was weird, and the bad sound effects ruined it for me.
As a non native speaker I had a really hard time understanding the distorted voices, it was just bad in general.
The story felt rushed, no real explanation on how or why anything in this episode happened. I don't watch arrow, so I didn't get any of the nostalgia people were talking about.
Overall, an average TV episode with some cameos that were super cringe and obviously made with a green-screen. Like so many other shots, it was really noticeable.
Frozen II (2019)
Very cute movie
The movie was great and so cute. The jokes were also very creative and heartwarming. The story was just as good as frozen 1 and the songs in the movie were breathtaking. I love all about this film.
Highly recommended, even for adults :)
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part Two (2020)
Thank you Master
I enjoyed these 2 episodes a lot. They were interesting
Series 11 was hard to watch, the Doctor didn't feel like the Doctor at all, but in these 2 Episodes, they found the right way to do it.
She could be a bit more silly, more boyish and just have some male traits, after all, she spent all of her life as a man, and has been a woman for like a couple months, they could've played with that a bit more. But she's doing a great job.
Now to the episode. In Episode 1 I still was a bit skeptical about the master, but holy moly, he did deliver. The actor did a great job, I hope we see more of the master this series. Very Enjoyable.
I hope this quality continues in series 12, I'll be watching!
Travelers (2016)
Great Show
One of the best shows I've seen in 2019. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch some good science fiction.
The Actors are all very good, no character was overly annoying or out of place. The formula worked very well, and the ending was great too.
All in all 9/10 - worth the binge
Another Life (2019)
Better than everyone sais
I know it's an overused term, but the start of the Show is pure cringe. There are more than enough cringe moments in the whole Show, but the Story and Plot is really really cool.
If you can sit through 2 hours of cringe and bad acting, it will be worth it 100%!
It really gets better, the actors start to become more used to the whole setting and improve along the way. The story starts to pick up and gets really interesting, can't wait for season 2!
A Star Is Born (2018)
Slow start, strong finish
First of all, I have to applaud Bradley Cooper for this amazing piece of Art. It really touched me.
The beginning was slow and a bit awkward, but I feel like that was on purpose, as relationships sometimes are awkward at the start, it felt realistic and and really thought through.
The middle was a bit off, I felt I got lost in the story and I felt like it was just a bit uninteresting and it felt rushed. There should've been a better time indicator on the whole timeline.
The ending had me in tears though, it was so good, it had a really strong finish and I'd watch it again. I was crying for a solid 10 minutes. The movie really touched me and I thank for again for this amazing piece of Art, Thank you!
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
A little bit underwhelmed
Don't get me wrong, the movie was great, but would I watch it a second time? Probably not - until the DVD comes out.
I've seen infinity war at least 5 times, and it's one of my favorite films.
That being said, i will compare the two movies for sure, and I just disliked the pacing, it was all over the place. Some Characters felt off, and some got little to no screen time, where others had too much.
It's just too many characters for one movie, even though infinity war did it much better, with just as many characters. I just can't put my finger on it.
The fighting scenes were alright, the first half lacked action, but the second half delivered some good solid scenes, nothing groundbreaking, but fun to watch. They can't reinvent the wheel, neither do they want to. They stick to what works, and that's alright.
All in all, the movie was a close 8/10, the fanboys who give it a 10 are just blind to accept the mistakes the movie made. It's not a perfect film, even an 8 is really generous in my opinion. The Movie works with nostalgia and gives fans of the MCU the things they wanted, more or less.
Still thinking Thor 3 was the best MCU movie. Sue me.
Star Trek: Discovery: Such Sweet Sorrow (2019)
Time Travel gone wrong
Well, they did it again.
The whole point of this episode was, that michael is gonna jump the ship into the future, sure.
My whole problem is, that just 10 minutes earlier, they said, that michael set up the signals, but then they said that they can charge the time crystal only for 1 jump into the future. The Inconsistency of this is really baffling, did they think we wouldn't notice or what's happening?
Do they think they can recharge the time crystal again once they're in the future? I mean, it is probably possible to do that, but why not just fly the ship into a supermassive black hole?
Or just jump to the edge of the universe, billions of lightyears away? Control would be able to get it, but only after thousands of years. Where the federation probably would've figured out another way to fight off control easily.
It's just too many plotholes, but I enjoy it deeply. People make mistakes, people don't always think clearly.
Also.. Just overload the warp core manually, beam the guy out before it explodes, gg.
So many possibilities :D But they want to keep the sphere data, I get it.
The Orville: Lasting Impressions (2019)
Beautiful
First of all, I have to thank everyone involved in this show, it's amazing and really changing my view of the world.
This Episode in particular was one of the best every created in my opinion. It was not 100% science fiction, but it showed that people are good and people are something wonderful - life is something wonderful.
The way this show is going is the right one. I really love it. I give this a 10/10 for it's originality and for something I've never seen before in science fiction. Traveling back in time has been done before, but not like this. I was touched through and through, I love Gordon, I hope we can enjoy lots more seasons of the Orville.
Thank you <3
The Orville: Identity (2019)
JESUS CHRIST
This is the most unexpected thing that ever happened!
But they must know that 300 Planets will fight back like hell, their blitzkrieg strategy will probably work out, but I think Isaac will prevail in the end, he has to.
God be with us.
Doctor Who: Resolution (2019)
It was okay
Well, I'm still hoping it will get better than this. In general, I liked the series. It was a different approach and it didn't work very well, yet it was strangely entertaining to me. Don't get me wrong, it was still very bad, but it was watchable, I've seen worse.
For this episode I give it a 5/10, the plot was a bit lacking and the sidestory was kinda boring and unnecessary. The actions shots were also very dull, they could've done more than to show soldiers shoot at it with rifles and a tank blowing up.
I would've just added the threat of nuclear weapons into it, dalek hacking the nuke codes or something like that, instead he decides to get his friends there? With our transmission technology? It takes 17 hours to reach voyager 1, how long would it take to reach a dalek army couple lightyears away? Come on now.
The Kominsky Method (2018)
Just awesome
As a dude in my 30's I believe this is the most funny show i've ever seen. The acting is superb, and I'm not only talking about the main Characters, I loved the acting class, these are all such good actors in the making, it's unreal.
Also, danny de vito cameo was hilarious.
I give this a 10/10 because it's unique and really well written, acting is amazing and the camera-work and lighting are on point. Very nice.
