Andor (2022)
Amazing! At the very best of what Star Wars can offer
I love Star Wars, but recently we have been suffering through some less than good shows and I almost wanted to give up and join the dark side. Thankfully, Andor has showed me that the universe still has a lot to offer. The plot is well written and the dialogues and characters are realistic and super creepy at the same time. Without having to express it in your face, you can see glimpses of the nature of the characters which leads to a depth and exciting storytelling experience for me. I truly enjoy this show, although I sometimes feel the episodes are a bit too long and the pace is a bit too slow. Well worth watching!
The Mandalorian (2019)
Getting worse by every minute
"Let's storm the base!"
"How many enemies?"
"It doesn't matter, my personal armor will protect us from everything. Just follow me. One man can fight them all."
"Who will protect your green baby? Shall we hide him in the corner?"
"Nobody puts baby in the corner!"
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
Honestly, better than I expected
My expectations were low, I love Will Ferrel but his movies are often shallow and stupid and rarely touches you. This one is not deep and smart, that is not what I'm saying! But it is well made and has a lot of heart in it that balances the shallow and stupid quite good. Add on top of that the end performance by Rachel McAdams, the sweetest actress in all of Hollywood, and you suddenly find yourself cheering for a fictional Icelandic band in a fictional Eurovision contest in this feel good movie of crazy corona summer of 2020. Well done! Well done indeed!
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Who gave this 8-star rating??
Are you watching the same show as I am? This show is terrible! I am so disappointed, I usually love all SciFi, the adventure and the imagination that the makers produces usually blows my mind, but this show is killing me slowly with boredom, unwarranted lectures/speeches, bad acting and bad writing. I hope Picards ship gets blown up next episode so that the show can end.
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star (2011)
Whatever the score, I laughed almost the entire time!
Here's the thing, there are funny movies and TV-shows based on real situation comedy, and there are just funny movies and shows. This is just a funny movie. That's all. I can't describe it better without spoiling the movie, but the low grade for this movie is completely unfair. I was laughing almost the entire time during this movie and I haven't done that in a long time! It's stupid, awkward, funny and adorable, all at the same time.
Don't be so negative as to ignore this movie, it deserves a fair chance. I know I'm glad to have seen this movie and I walk away with a smile on my face and a happy feeling inside. I'm satisfied. Most movies don't do that anymore. I'm giving it a grade of 7 out of 10, because it is a great laugh whenever I'm down.
Also, Christina Ricci is just adorable. Perfect for her role.
