Not as Amazing as The First Film, But Nowhere Near as Bad as People Make it Out to Be
29 March 2013
Let me just say that I am a huge fan of the Jurassic Park trilogy. This one was the first that I saw, and even now, I enjoy watching it. Sure, it's not as mind-blowing as Jurassic Park, but The Lost World is a great movie on it's own, even if there are some noticeable flaws. True, every scene is a setup for the next dinosaur attack, sure a velociraptor being knocked out by gymnastics is beyond stupid, and yeah, Sam Neill and Laura Dern are not in this movie, but there are a lot more positives concerning this movie than there are negatives. First of all, I'm glad Jeff Goldblum's character Ian Malcolm was given the lead, because this time around we really got to know him better and he was a lot more serious, mainly because he knows the dangers of facing these dinosaur, and what they're capable of, and Richard Attenborough's cameo as John Hammond was short, but quite a scene-stealing moment, and one of the most endearing moments from the entire film. The new actors(Julianne Moore, Vince Vaughn, Pete Postlethwaite, Arliss Howard, etc) were good, and this is the only movie where I feel like Vince Vaughn showed how good of an actor he is. One complaint that is just stupid is that people complained that Jurassic Park didn't show enough dinosaurs, but when Spielberg showed more in The Lost World, they complained that it was too much. Now about the special effects, the dinosaurs look even better than they did in the first film, because it had been 4 years, and so obviously the effects would be upgraded, and I know people may disagree, but I really love the T-rex running through the streets of San Diego, and it just brings up the level of excitement. Malcolm's daughter is black, and she's kinda bratty, and I liked Lex and Tim (Hammond's grandchildren) better. They were more fun to watch, and their fear was more believable. Overall, The Lost World is a great movie for thrills and the acting is solid enough to keep you invested, but that doesn't change the fact that Jurassic Park was a better movie, told a better story, and had a much better balance in showing the Dinosaurs as creatures and monsters; while Jurassic Park took an hour to show a dinosaur attack, this movie did it almost immediately in the beginning of the film. Another disappointment is that the Velociraptors are less prominent this time around, but they're just as scary as they were in the first movie. But all in all, this movie is fun and thrilling, and the acting is really good, but it lacks the magic and inspiration that made Jurassic Park amazing. 8/10

Why the hate? I loved this movie as a kid, and I still find it entertaining!
21 March 2013
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid, and even when I think about it now, I can see how it was silly and cliché, but it's still a joy to watch. I also knew this movie was based on a cartoon, but I knew nothing about the cartoon, and I knew about the movie first, so naturally I would assume that everything that happened in the movie is just like the cartoon, but I've read from other reviewers that this movie is so different from the cartoon. Since I never watched the cartoon, I'm reviewing this as a stand-alone film. This movie is really fun to watch; Matthew Broderick was the right man to play the title role, and he actually looks the part, I don't know why most people beg to differ, and Rupert Everett is funny as Sanford Scolex (aka Dr. Claw), and is sinister enough to get you invested, but the problem with his character is that he doesn't actually pose as a menacing threat to the society or to Gadget himself, he's more of a smooth talker. His henchmen are funny enough and they are great comic relief, but perhaps my greatest memory of this movie was the song, "I'll Be Your Everything" by Youngstown. That song is funky, it's a nice boy band tune, and it's good to listen to, but just recently, I found out that it's actually lyrically suggestive. For example the line, "So just call out 'Go-Go Gadget'", is actually, "I can freak you with my gadget", hahaha, lol, yeah I know, dirty, huh? The Robo-Gadget devil is funny, and he could've been the villain throughout, but all he does is wreak havoc around the city. The humor is good enough, and this movie is good, but I don't understand what pushed Disney to make a direct-to-DVD sequel, which was a complete travesty, and not worthy of being watched! I've only seen previews of the sequel, but that was enough for me to know that it's TERRIBLE!!! Overall, I like Inspector Gadget, and it's good for what it is, and enjoyable enough, especially if you liked it as a kid, if I were you, I wouldn't be so harsh towards the movie and just accept it as a stand- alone film. 8/10. Good job Disney!

A Complete Waste of Time! A Bad Movie, But Good to Laugh and/or Cringe At
4 March 2013
Let me just start by saying that I had no knowledge of Dream Street's existence until 3 months ago, I just never new about them, but I've at least known about Jesse McCartney as a solo artist for a long time. I started checking out their music videos, live performances, and interviews, and it surprises me that Jesse ended up being the breakout star of the group. Why? Because after seeing that Chris Trousdale was the ultimate favorite member, I find it weird that he didn't become the most successful member. I enjoy Dream Street's music, and I wish I had known about them when I was a little kid. Now, I had only seen parts of this movie, and that was enough for me to know that it sucks, and that it's just a cheap, boring, predictable chick flick, and the fact that Chris Trousdale was playing himself just proves that he has no acting ability. I already know how this plays out, and this kind of story has been used so many times that it just bores you out, and the girl Debbie(Kaila Amariah) has such an annoying and grating voice, it's so sickening and makes you feel like punching her in the face, and the overall premise is so corny. The only good thing about it was probably the soundtrack, which primarily consisted of Dream Street songs, and a few other various artists such as Swedish pop girl group Play, but even so, the soundtrack isn't worth buying. Why? Because it'll end up being a waste of money, especially if you already own Dream Street's album. Another thing I gotta say about this is that how the hell did Pat Morita get roped in to this nonsense, I mean it's sad that he agreed to be apart of this movie. That's all I gotta say about this movie, it's not worth anyone's time. 2/10

Boring, Unfunny, and A Completely Unnecessary Show!
26 January 2013
I have seen this show before, but I don't watch it on a regular basis, so a few days ago, I decided to sit through an entire episode, and honestly, it's not the acting that's the problem, it's some other things I'd like to mention; 1st of all, the humor isn't funny, and half the things the characters say are in all seriousness, but for some insane reason, the laugh track plays anyway. I mean, it's as if they want us to laugh at something, just to accompany the laugh track. 2nd of all, the characters of Ravi and Zuri are over-the-top, annoying, ghetto, and flat out weird, and the fact that the parents travel all the time(which is the reason for their usual absence from the show), and adopted 3 kids, after having only 1 biological child, shows that they're clearly knockoffs of Brangelina. 3rd of all, the theme song is absolutely horrible, repetitive, generic, and written on such an illiterate level, how can anyone enjoy this? It makes the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song sound like a masterpiece, and that's saying something because I absolutely hated that one. Finally, it was a poor decision on the part of Disney executives to give Debbie Ryan her own show, she's not lead star material, she was actually funny in the Suite Life on Deck, but here, it's as if she's trying too hard to be funny. That's all I really have to say about this, it's not very good, and if it were to stay on the network longer, it shouldn't go past 2 seasons. 3/10

Phil of the Future (2004–2006)
10/10
Man, I miss this show! Why did it have to be cancelled?!?
18 January 2013
When this show was being promoted, I was really interested when I heard it was coming from the makers of Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire. I loved this show, I thought the 1st season was good, but I got really pulled in by season 2, it was much better, the plots are always something different, and the characters are awesome and funny. The whole cast is really talented, and Phil and Keely's friendship is amazing, I'm so glad they actually became a couple, Pim may be evil, but she's entertaining enough, Phil's parents are interesting and they're a joy to watch on screen, but I've got to give props to JP Manoux, who's job is twice as challenging, because he plays the well-meaning but suspicious Vice Principal Hackett, and the savage, caveman Curtis, he does a really good job that sometimes you even forget that he plays both characters.

Now I just gotta say that why did this show have to be cancelled?!?!? It was genius, the thought of being from the future and stuck in the present is a fun idea for a TV show, and it was getting so much more interesting and entertaining by the 2nd season, so out of every Disney Channel show that was cancelled, this one didn't deserve to be, it just happened randomly. JONAS changed it's concept entirely by its 2nd season, so that show was asking for its own cancellation, and Cory in the House well, was a spin-off, so no matter what direction it decided to go in, it was already doomed to be a short-lived series. Anyway, this show could've gone on for another season or 2, and it's obvious that they left a cliffhanger, because they left Curtis the caveman behind, so what would the Diffy's do, go back for him or would their time machine break down again, thus prolonging their time period of being stuck in the present? This show was too good to be cancelled, and I miss it a lot, it definitely has the same essence and humor of Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire, and that's because the creators of this show were writers on Lizzie McGuire, so it makes sense. 10/10, MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lizzie McGuire (2001–2004)
9/10
I was really hooked! I love and miss this show
17 January 2013
Lizzie McGuire is 1 of those classic Disney Channel shows that I truly adore. I've started re- watching the episodes on Youtube again, and to this day, I still enjoy it, and the movie, which went to theaters, proved to be a really enjoyable film, as well as a perfect farewell to these characters. I love all the characters, and almost every episode, the 3 best friends, Lizzie, Gordo, and Miranda really care about each other, and they have an incredibly strong friendship, Lizzie's brother Matt is always doing something interesting and funny, whether it's getting in trouble with his parents, or some kind of fun or mischief with his silent best friend Lanny, who strangely enough, only Matt can understand, Ethan Craft may be a complete airhead, but he's a cool guy in general, and gives some good advice on rare occasions, Kate Sanders maybe a snobby, popular cheerleader, but it's clear that she has a good heart and can be kind to Lizzie and her friends when it counts, and Larry Tudgeman may be the geekiest kid around, but he's funny, smart, and on rare occasions, he shows that he can be cool and sophisticated.

Character development is a really strong point in the show, because throughout the show, the writers always seemed eager to develop each of the characters in one way or another. This ranges in a wide variety from building up on Matt and Lizzie's sibling relationship, Lizzie and Miranda's friendship, Gordo's personal struggles such as the initiation of becoming a man and having his own Bar Mitzvah, being possessed by that board game known as "Dwarf Lord", going over to High School due to his high level of intelligence, and his feelings for Lizzie, Miranda's diet due to her lack of confidence in regards to her body, (which was triggered by Gordo's comment of, "Oh man, you guys eat a lot"), Larry going out on a date with Lizzie, and being the only kid in the school not getting invited to Miranda's party, and even Lizzie's parents learn things about themselves, and eventually they become better parents in the process as the show went on. With the exception of Claire, none of the characters in this show are 1-dimensional.

The humor is funny and there's usually a good moral at the end of each episode, and there are even a few guest stars that I didn't know were in there such as Dot-Marie Jones, who currently plays Coach Beiste on Glee, I was surprised to see that she was on the show for 5 episodes. I miss this show, it too, just like Even Stevens, should've lasted for more than 3 seasons, because these characters' stories could've been taken so much further, had ABC chosen to pick up the spin-off idea of Lizzie and her friends in High School, that would've been really interesting to see. But, what's done is done, and I'm glad that I even got to experience Lizzie McGuire, which reminds me, when I really got into this show, it was already over and they were showing reruns, but the difference is that unlike Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire was shown constantly, so I was less likely to miss an opportunity to see that.

Now I already mentioned this in my Even Stevens review, but the one negative and frustrating thing about this show is the fact that Lizzie and her friends were in Middle School the whole time, and they should've been in High School, but here's the difference; in Lizzie Mcguire, it was a little bit more convincing in the long-run that they were in Middle School, but still, they should've had the characters in High School.

That's all I really have to say about Lizzie McGuire, it was an amazing, funny, and interesting show, I loved it a lot, the characters were so interesting that there wasn't a time where you became bored of them, and it truly was a classic Disney Channel show, I wish we had shows like this one again. 9/10!

A Surprising Treat for Spider-Man Fans Everywhere!
14 January 2013
I've read the first page of reviews people wrote for this movie, and honestly, I think you're all overreacting and making a pre-conceived assumption about it! I went to see this movie during the summer, and I saw the 3D presentation of it. As much as I enjoyed Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, this movie turned out to give off a better impression.

Character and story development was the biggest improvement because we really got to know Peter Parker as a person very well, and we actually got to see how he ended up living with his aunt and uncle, as opposed to in the 2002 movie, where he's already living with them, and his parents are never mentioned, as if we're simply supposed to accept that he lives with them, his relationship with Uncle Ben is a lot stronger and we actually feel sorry for him when his uncle dies, which was rather hard to do in the original movie, his love interest, Gwen Stacey, is a lot smarter, stronger, and much more likable and interesting than Mary Jane Watson ever was, because she wasn't just some damsel in distress, and also in this film, when Peter develops his superpowers, he actually has a real reaction to them, instead of just quickly adjusting to them and acting like being genetically mutated is normal. For those who think Tobey Magure played Peter Parker/Spider-Man better than Andrew Garfield, you couldn't be more wrong, I personally liked Andrew Garfield's performance, and he wasn't better or worse than Tobey Maguire, it's just 2 different takes on the same character, that's all.

The one real downside to this film is the villain, the Lizard, and that's because even though he has a motivation, he's boring and doesn't come across as a menacing threat in any forceful way, but that's not a big enough flaw to really drag the movie down. I will say that even though he has a device for the web-slinging, I think the way he could do it naturally in the original trilogy was more exciting. Director Marc Webb did a great job of telling what is essentially the same story over again, but in a more complex and in-depth way, and the special effects were really top-notch. I can't wait for the sequel to this film, cause it truly deserves one.

All in all, The Amazing Spider-Man is one of the best superhero films I've ever seen, and it's really great for those who want to know and understand Peter's character better, as well as see a more accurate telling of his story. 9/10 in my book!

Tarzan & Jane (2002 Video)

What Movie?!?!? This is Garbage!
13 January 2013
I saw Tarzan and Jane way back when I was a little kid, but over the past 3-4 years or so, I really thought about the core story of this and what it boils down to is literally nothing! All that happens here is that Jane is trying to think of ways to celebrate her 1 year wedding anniversary with Tarzan, and she, Terk, and Tantor just reflect on memories that derive from the Tarzan TV series every time 1 of them suggests an idea, that's it! A direct to video sequel like that in my opinion, barely even qualifies as a movie, that's just an attempt at seeking a profit. How could Disney possibly think that this passes for a story worth telling? I hate this direct to video sequel from Disney and in all honesty, it has no real plot, and it's an insult to fans of the original Tarzan movie!

Even Stevens (2000–2003)
9/10
I love this show, it's better and funnier than I remember!
12 January 2013
Of all the Disney Channel Shows I grew up watching, Even Stevens is the one I have the least memories of, and that's because when I really started watching it, the show was already over and Disney Channel kept showing reruns, but here's my opinion; This show is funny, inventive, genius, the characters are so cool and entertaining, and each episode is always a real blast to watch! My favorite character is Louis Stevens and I never expected Shia Laboeuf to explode into superstardom the way he did, he's a great actor, my least favorite would have to be Ren because she's boring compared to everyone else on the show. I think this should've lasted for more than 3 seasons and had more than 65 episodes, but then again, that was Disney Channel's policy for each show at the time, and now that I'm watching it again on Youtube, so I can get to know the show better than I already do, I have a greater appreciation for it. The only real problem with this show is that the characters were in middle school the whole time, and yet they looked like high school kids, so in that aspect, the show would've been a bit more interesting with some more freedom for the characters to do what they did if we had gotten to experience their high school days, Lizzie McGuire frustrated me for the same reason. But besides that, this was 1 of the best Disney Channel shows ever to be released, and I love it, it's so much better than most of the current Disney Channel shows like Shake it Up, A.N.T. Farm, Jessie, My Baby Sitter's a Vampire, and Dog With a Blog. Oh what a classic this show was!

Let It Shine (2012 TV Movie)

A really different shift for Disney and a surprise on the hip-hop focus!
31 July 2012
I saw the previews and promos for this movie and what really pushed me to watch it was the hip-hop sound and the fact that Tyler James Williams was apart of it, seeing as I loved him on "Everybody Hates Chris", and I told 1 of my best friends to see it and he did, but I didn't see it until tonight, pretty funny huh? Anyway, I thought this movie was well done and I found it to be incredible in story(though it was slightly predictable), the music was really sophisticated(especially coming from Walt Disney Records), the dialogue wasn't cheesy in the slightest bit, and overall it was awesome to watch. This is only the 2nd Disney channel movie where the cast was African-American and I was alright with it mainly because I've seen mostly white people on their shows(I'm not being racist it's true)so I'm glad they changed it up for this movie. I didn't like how Cyrus' father was critical towards hip-hop/rap and claiming it was considered "devil music" and that it was going against God, but his apology and turn to accept it made up for it and there were times where "Lord of Da Bling" would just mess with Cyrus and I was wishing he would just fight back and call him out with a freestyle but he didn't and that was really disappointing for me. Also Kris and Cyrus' fight I thought would've ruined their friendship for good, but I'm glad it didn't. The soundtrack was incredible and the songwriters were really good, my personal favorite songs were "Don't Run Away", "Guardian Angel" and "Moment of Truth". I expected this movie to be just OK, but it was awesome and really cool, so I give it a 9 out of 10 and it's one of the more mature and less childish and cheesy DCOMs and for the most part it didn't feel like a Disney channel movie at all. It has its flaws, just as every movie does, but those flaws weren't big enough to prevent me from enjoying it, but I don't think it was quite as good as Lemonade Mouth. This movie gets a 9/10 from me and it was great, but it clearly doesn't have sequel potential, however, these stars could easily go on tour and perform songs from the movie. Keep it up Disney!!!!!!!

A Spellbinding Film Adaptation of One of My Favorite Disney Channel Shows
18 February 2012
From the moment the preview for this movie was being shown on TV, I was very excited about it mainly because of the tone, the mood, and the action-packed adventure that was lying ahead. There were too many great things about this film that I was simply blown away by; 1st off, the acting was great, especially from David Henrie and Selena Gomez, and Jake T. Austin didn't act as stupid as he normally would on the show. The special effects were just mind-blowing and incredible, the location at which they were shooting (Puerto Rico) was amazing, and I really liked how Jerry(David Deluise) got to use magic and be more quirky, which he doesn't get too much of on the show. Honestly, this is one of the best DCOM's I've ever seen, and considering how great it was and how cool the visual effects were, this should've been a feature film. The story was so well constructed, and it really reflected how kids would wish for things out of anger and resentment, and then in this film it actually happened, and eventually Alex was in regret. My favorite acting scene was between Alex and Theresa, and also when Alex cried about how Justin couldn't remember her, and how he should've won the wizard competition. And I will say that it was for the best that Harper(Jennifer Stone) had a small role in the film, because there was nothing they could do for her character. This film is so great, the acting is so professional, it's from the director of Minutemen, and I love it. This is the kind of film that deserves a sequel, but that's more than likely not gonna happen. A shocker in regards to this film is that the writer, Dan Berendsen sank so low and went as far as co-writing Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. But besides that, this film is so cool, and one of the greatest DCOMs ever!!!

Camp Rock (2008 TV Movie)
7/10
Entertaining, But Cliché
18 September 2011
I see that several people have bashed this movie with all these reviews, and even though Camp Rock Came out 3 years ago, I'm still gonna critique it and give my honest opinion. I thought this movie was fun to watch, it was definitely more likable and realistic than HSM, but at the same time, I find it very predictable, and meaningless for multiple reasons. For example, it does use the same type of characters such as the shy, new girl, heartthrob dude who's a jerk, mean blonde girl who leads a clique, etc, and you don't even have to say anything out loud to be able to figure out what's gonna happen later in the movie, you just know. As far as the music, I found some great variety and I like how a lot of the actors were given some solo songs but my favorite song would have to be Joe Jonas's Gotta Find You because it's very heartfelt and memorable. With the exception of Too Cool, I enjoyed every song on the soundtrack. The acting wasn't such a problem, seeing as Joe did great at being a jerk, although his character Shane Gray reminded me of Jordan Cahill from Stuck In The Suburbs in the sense that they both want to be able to have creative control over their music, and Demi Lovato was great, especially since this film was her big break. However, I wish the other characters such as Barron(Jordan Francis) and Sander(Roshon Fegan) were given personal story lines and more time to develop, though I do praise their talent. A problem I have with this movie is its message; It is predictable and boring, and it seems that the filmmakers were too focused on the "Entertainment Factor" that they didn't spend enough time on the movie's core message. While the concept of the movie revolves around rock, the soundtrack doesn't exactly stay true to that because there's hip-hop, pop, and R&B, involved, the music is still enjoyable. I will say that the Jonas Brothers in general are not meant to be actors, especially not Nick. If you thought this film sucked, try watching its disastrous sequel, and you'll get an idea of what bad movies are like. All in All, Camp Rock is a pretty fun movie, but as far as teaching an important lesson, it's very cliché and not very substantial. 7.5/10

Poor Quality, Ugly Animation, and Weakly Scripted Film
15 September 2011
No, I didn't see the 1st Atlantis movie(Mainly because I heard it wasn't a major success) but I'm sure it was much better than this pathetic excuse for a movie. This "sequel" was just plain awful, the story was boring, and I definitely noticed something weird about Milo's voice. Every time he spoke, I was so confused on whether he was being voiced by either Scott Weinger(voice of Aladdin) or Jason Marsden(who voiced Max in "A Goofy Movie" and Kovu in "The Lion King 2"), it was just kinda annoying. Not to mention I had no idea Milo was originally voiced by Michael J. Fox, who I think is quirky as the voice of Stuart Little. I also had no clue that Disney linked 3 different planned episode stories together, and they had the nerve to call it a movie. The stories in this "film" are really boring, and out of any Disney direct-to-video sequel, this one has the 2nd worst animation(behind "Hunchback of Notre Dame 2"), and just as with every Disney production like this one, It will never recapture the magic and beautiful animation of the original theatrical film. 1/10.

Shake It Up (2010–2013)
Good Show, But Nothing Special or New
3 September 2011
When I 1st saw the early promos for this show, I didn't think it would be stupid, but when I found out that Roshon Fegan would be in it, that was the main reason I decided to check it out, and I found it pretty good, but it's true that all the jokes have been used before in other Disney shows, and that it's rather predictable, but it's alright. The acting isn't bad or amateur, but it can be better and more professional, and for those of you who think Davis Cleveland(Flynn) is a bad actor, it's only because he's so young that his acting is not believable, but overall the acting is decent, but nowhere near as good as most other Disney Channel shows. As for the dancing, it's not a crowd-pleaser because Bella Thorne and Zendaya Coleman are alright, but not that great of dancers(though I hope they improve by the 2nd or even the possible 3rd season), and the only real dance pro is Roshon Fegan and anyone who's seen the Camp Rock Movies would know that, and It kinda makes it worse knowing that Rosero McCoy, who choreographed Camp Rock 2, is the choreographer of this show, but it's not so bad. But here's something I find very irritating and shocking: Disney got Bella and Zendaya to sing a song called "Watch Me" which annoyed me so much because even though Zendaya is credited as a singer, she and Bella are terrible at it, and they even filmed a music video which wasn't bad but they can't sing. Speaking of music, I think I should add that I only like 4 songs from this show, my favorite being Dance For Life by Adam Hicks featuring Drew Seeley. The music in this show also needs some serious improvements. The main reason I'm so mad about this is because I would've hoped that the 2 stars of the show wouldn't be singers, but now that I see them singing, I have a bad feeling that they will turn Rocky and Cece into singers on the show which I will dread for life. Another thing I will definitely agree with is that Ty and Deuce don't add much to the story lines for the show because all Ty does is dance on the street, try to woo girls, and hang out with Flynn while Deuce just cracks jokes and seems like a bad boy but turns out to be cool. They were simply developed to complete the ensemble. All in All, Shake it Up is a good show, but it can be better, so I will give it a 7.5/10

Big Time Rush (2009–2013)
A Disaster Waiting To Happen!!!! Cancel This Show.
26 August 2011
When this show was at early promotion, I instantly knew that it was gonna be stupid and let's just say it took me a year to actually check it out ; On top of that, I never heard any of the songs they sang for the show until earlier this year, with "Boyfriend" featuring Snoop Dogg being the 1st song I heard, and I eventually liked it. Now let me just give an honest review and analysis of the show; I may not have sat through a full episode before, but I don't have to do that because this show is really stupid, the situations/story lines are just lame and pathetic(you'd think that some amateur, inexperienced teens were hired to write the scripts), the 4 guys(James, Kendall, Logan, and Carlos) acting is so terrible and unbelievable that it's just painfully annoying to watch. The show is much worse than Disney Channel's JONAS, which is saying something because JONAS was pretty stupid itself, especially during the 2nd season, which is why it got canceled. The only positive thing I can say about this show is that while they're just terrible actors, Big Time Rush happen to be great singers, and I think they should just stick to their music, because they will never go far as actors. Nickelodeon, you need to realize what you're doing and just cancel this show because it's so retarded, and that's no surprise considering that it's from the creator of Ned's Declassified. Just get rid of it now!!!!!!!!!!!!! For that, i give this show a 1/10.

Victorious (2010–2013)
Pretty Good, But Not So Extraordinary

When I 1st heard about this show, I was so sure that it would be stupid and lame, but somehow I was proved wrong and right in different ways. Most of the cast was unfamiliar to me, but I knew Victoria Justice from the iFightShelbyMarx movie, and Elizabeth Gillies(Jade) because I recognized her as Drake's most recent girlfriend Carly on Drake and Josh, but I had no idea that Victoria was in Zoey 101 until after this show premiered. Victorious is not necessarily a bad show, but it's true that a lot of the jokes aren't so funny cause a lot of the time I'm forcing myself to laugh at it, and there's really no depth or real development of the characters, which is not good because even iCarly develops characters better than that. The biggest plus I can give to this show is the musical talent that surrounds it. Victoria Justice is actually a better singer than Miranda Cosgrove, but it's just that her voice reminds me of Katy Perry, and Leon Thomas III is easily the most musically talented person and the best singer on the show. I haven't heard Liz Gillies or Ariana Grande sing legitimately but I hope they can really sing too. A lot of you reviewers say this show will improve by season 2, but I'm thinking it'll take a new direction by the 3rd season. I will admit that I find it really ridiculous that Tori's sister Trina goes to the school, despite having no talent, it's like inducting Paris Hilton despite having made no achievements. The best episode was the crossover with iCarly because it was the most fun and we got to experience both shows at once, plus they did a mashup of the 2 theme songs "Make it Shine" and Leave it All To Me". With that being said, Victorious is 1 of the better shows on Nickelodeon, but it's not Dan Schneider's best effort at creating a show, and it doesn't measure up to Drake and Josh or even iCarly. I'll give it a 7/10.

Zeke and Luther (2009–2012)
This Show Is Actually Funny and Good
21 August 2011
When I 1st heard about this show back in 2007/2008 or sometime like that, I really perceived it as 2 idiots who thought they were so cool simply because they skateboard, and I never watched until this summer when I finally decided to give it a chance, and guess what, I ended up liking it!!!! I think Hutch Dano and Adam Hicks are funny guys, and I'll be honest with U, I only started watching this show after I had already seen Lemonade Mouth and that's because I used to think Adam Hicks was retarded because of this show, but now I see that in real life, He's a cool, collected and serious guy. I have to admit that Daniel Curtis Lee(Kojo) is somewhat of an over actor and he makes his character seem so crazy and out of control, especially with his facial expressions. As much newfound respect I have for this show, I have to say that it's true that Zeke and Luther has some similarities with Drake and Josh, in terms of the character's personalities. I give this show an 8/10 because it's not the best but it's far from terrible.

The Suite Life Movie (2011 TV Movie)
A Much Better Film Than Expected, and Well Made.
21 August 2011
Just when I thought Dylan and Cole Sprouse would never do a DCOM, they finally did, and I thought it was really cool. The story was well structured, Dylan and Cole's acting was much more professional than in the show, plus it was also very interesting to have Zack and Cody portrayed in a more serious light. This movie definitely had some surprises, considering that it was from the director of the Even Stevens Movie, but it's true that they could've focused on other characters besides Zack and Cody. As usual, Phill Lewis did great as Moseby, and Brenda Song does a great job as well. The movie was also a good opportunity for the filmmakers to mend and sort of add new development to Zack and Cody's brotherly relationship, and as a result, they learned to understand each other better. Overall great film, I give it a 9/10.

Not as bad as I wanted it to be but still not a must-see film.
11 June 2011
When I 1st heard about this spin-off of HSM, I had every thought in my mind that this film would suck at all cost and I really wanted to hate it so much. But to my surprise, it turned out pretty good and I must say that they really took Sharpay's character in the right direction in the sense that she evolved from this bratty, rotten, unreasonable, abusive, and self-centered drama queen to this hopeful, ambitious, yet caring and more sensitive and determined young woman who is so focused on fulfilling her Broadway dreams. She evolved so much that if you watched this film without seeing the HSM films, you would think that Sharpay's always been like this. My personal favorite part of the movie is the extended ending when her twin brother Ryan(Lucas Grabeel) comes to visit her because it brought me back to the old HSM days and this time she wasn't abusing him like she did in HSM 1 and 2, and occasionally in HSM 3. The music was acceptable, but not mind-blowing like any of the HSM songs, Lucas Grabeel even got to record Baby by Justin Bieber. Overall, I think this film was much more realistic than any of the HSM movies, but it was also more aimed towards girls. This isn't a terrible film, but it's not a definite crowd- pleaser either. A fairly good attempt Disney. I give this film a 7.5/10

Lemonade Mouth (2011 TV Movie)
10/10
For the 1st Time in a Long Time, Disney Got it Right!!!!! Awesome
4 June 2011
As many of you know, in the past years, Disney channel is known for releasing films such as "High School Musical", "Camp Rock" and the "Cheetah Girls" franchises, all of which were popular but corny in some way, especially the disastrous "Camp Rock 2". I gotta say that for a Disney Channel Movie, in my opinion Lemonade Mouth was just a sweet knockout!!!!!!!!! It's the best musical movie that Disney Channel has ever made, and I'm hooked on it. The actors in the movie did a great job, each character was given a great amount of significance, and best of all, all 5 of them are really talented not only as actors but as musicians. I'm amazed that Adam Hicks wrote his own rap lyrics for 3 songs in the movie because it allowed him to showcase his true musical talent, and even though all 5 actors were great, I feel that he and Hayley Kiyoko are the 2 strongest actors in the movie. Also the movie was great on character development, and the filmmakers didn't make 1 character feel more important than others, and it was almost completely unpredictable because I had no idea what would happen throughout this movie, though I will say that the only predictable thing about it was that after Charlie(Blake Michael) flipped the coin, it would land on heads, other than that, completely unpredictable. Even Chris Brochu's character Ray wasn't entirely annoying, but he was a jerk. The soundtrack's amazing, you'd actually want those type of songs on your Ipod, and they're genius. Finally, Lemonade Mouth actually has a strong morale, and it's the kind you can take seriously, unlike corny stupid lines like "This is our summer"!!!!! I can also praise this movie for presenting a realistic plot, and it proves that Disney finally learned from all the mistakes they've previously made with past DCOMS. PS: All 5 members of the band can sing, not just 1 person, who wouldn't want that in a band(which by the way they should be a real-life band)?!?!? Here's 1 character I didn't really talk about and that's Scott Pickett, lead guitarist of Mudslide Crush. Scott is played by Nick Roux, and while he's a nice guy, he can be a little selfish, and I don't think anyone expected him to end up joining Lemonade Mouth by the end of the movie, but it was best that he did. I will say that it was unnecessary for Mo to get jealous of Scott for simply talking to a girl named Jules, it's not like he was making out with her. Also how the mural of the band had ended up on the pizzeria billboard was never explained, so therefore it didn't make sense. Something else I should add is that there was a review saying that the music continuity was an issue, and I'd just like to say that 1st of all, that's not something to complain about, 2nd of all, of course you're still gonna hear keyboards in the background while Wen's rapping because he's not really playing, so that's not really an issue. Also during "Breakthrough", Scott had already joined the band, and he's the one who played guitar for that song so it doesn't matter if Stella's not playing guitar, but you're right about "She's So Gone", Bridgit should have been playing bass instead of a 2nd guitar, and in "Breakthrough", and Highwire, Naomi's not playing bass which is odd. Overall,This movie couldn't have been done in a better way, it deserves a sequel but I'm afraid it'll be a disaster like Camp Rock 2. Well done Disney, keep this up, your coolest musical film yet. I give it a perfect 10. Rock on, Lemonade Mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010 TV Movie)
4/10
This movie Is a complete failure
25 May 2011
As I can see, the majority of you reviewers were disappointed about this movie, and I agree with most of you. 4 of the songs in this movie were lame, the Nate-Dana love story was pathetic, and Mdot's character Luke Williams was very annoying, but in a very hysterically funny way. The Jonas Brothers are easily the worst actors on Disney, but in this film, Kevin was the most fun to watch, and Demi's character Mitchie was annoying and became a crazy control- freak!!! Please note that this movie and the Cheetah Girls: One World were the worst DCOMS I've ever seen, and that's no surprise, considering that they were both directed by Paul Hoen, and co-written by Dan Berendsen, who ironically did a brilliant job of writing the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie. This movie sucks, and for those of you who haven't seen it, you're doing yourself a favor. It's so terrible that even the Camp Star songs were much better than Camp Rock songs. Another thing I'd like to add is that when Shane and Mitchie were arguing, I thought the scene would be well acted out but it was so weak and poorly done especially from Joe who's acting worsened mainly because Shane's personality altered between the 2 movies. Overall, I'd have to give this film a 4/10. What made Nate and Dana's love story so unrealistic was done by a number of stupid stuff: Like the charm bracelet hitting him in the eye, even though he was way in the audience just made no sense and it was random, as well as when he said "Here I am", and she randomly got mad and assumed he was "Just like every other teenage guy in the world"!!!!!!! Give me a break!!!!!!! Some other unrealistic situations included some songs in the movie, most notably, "Wouldn't Change A Thing, which is a good song, but who in their right mind would sing a duet when they're nowhere near each other, and at night, wouldn't that wake everybody up?!?!? The best song was It's on, and Introducing me was funny, but overall the film and it's soundtrack were very disappointing!!!!!! 4/10 Kobe Busia
