The Protégé (2021)
The ending though
It wasn't that bad of a movie. Good shots and the acting was above ok.
There were some nice turns I would say but the ending. Oh my. Totally out of tune with the rest of the movie.
Popcorn worthy, but not more.
Arkansas (2020)
Well done but
C'mon
I have seen this movie 100 times.
It is well done but...cmon
If the ending had been around 180 different this would have been memoriable. Now anyone saw the ending a mile away and no one cared.
Door in the Woods (2019)
Well crafted but not so good.
The team behind this movie aren't that bad actually.
The story is only so so, and the acting is medioker but the production is solid.
Screenwriting, photo and editing is not bad at all. Not sure if that is enough to recommend the movie though.
The Death of Dick Long (2019)
Solid workmanship
The story and script was so, so. Perhaps they tried a bit to do a Fargo.
It is no Fargo, but the execution is very good.
Acting, screenplay, editing and cinematography is actually really good.
Worth a view? Hell yes.
Hellboy (2019)
Really bad
Everything was wrong. Pacing, storyline, editing. And please send the one who picked the soundtrack to North Korea.
Do not watch, you have been warned.
Game of Thrones (2011)
2/10 for season 8
Oh man was this dissapointing. I will not watch beyond episode 3. I just don't care anymore.
One of the 10/10 shows ruined, thanks Dumb and Dumber.
The Orville (2017)
Season 2
Are we able to set a score on separate seasons because season 2 is about 3/10 right now.
All the "stupid" tounge in cheek humour is missing.
American Made (2017)
TV-show?
"This is probably the worst movie I've seen this year. Cruise acted downright silly and the whole thing came off as a joke. I couldn't tell what the genre was suppose to be. A drama, a comedy, adventure ??? It reminded me of a little boy who loves airplanes so he made a movie just so he could fly one or pretend to.In all seriousness, I thought it was insultin" --> But I would like to add that the style it is filmed in, perspectives, lighting, and so on seems to be from a docu soap TV show. It was rubbish. Even impossible to watch if you like the big screen and the cinematography associated with proper film. It was like Johnny Depps "Public Enenemies" where I actually left the theater. Be warned.
The Devil's Rock (2011)
Not bad actually
This was not bad at all.
The narrative was a bit weak admittedly, more explanation of the occult rituals would have been nice. The ending was also the classic writers getting tired making something quick up.
A more clever ending had been appreciated.
Overall the acting was really good. Try yourself to play a red painted demon and keep a straight face :) The two male leads, well the only ones really, delivered well.
Camera work and editing was good, though in a way that is to be expected from shooting in small spaces.
Overall, good effort from everyone involved and if you have popcorn and a nice hang over this is absolutely rent-able.
