Star Trek: Discovery: Whistlespeak (2024)
Seriously!?
So we see Tilly and another in a large sealed chamber. She knows that oxygen is precious at this point and yet she allows numerous candles, small fires to carry on burning up all the oxygen in the air!
I didn't really see the point of this episode apart from showing the Prime Directive being broken, again and with comparative ease I might add.
I gave this 3 stars because it's still Star Trek (just) and I've been a fan for over 50 years! I am however, pleased that Discovery is finally wrapping up and I'm not forced to continue watching it (I force myself because I'm still a huge fan).
Looking forward to the return of Strange New Worlds (apart from the singing :D )
Platonic (2023)
Bad, bad, bad.....
........ Bad, BAD! I cannot see a real relationship developing between the 2 characters, they have no chemistry. The stories are painful to watch, there is no comedy or comedic timing just a few schoolboy jokes thrown in which we're led to believe is comedy.
We watched the first two episodes and got two thirds through the third before we decided that enough was enough and we would never get that time back, wasted watching this drivel.
Give me an episode of Fawlty Towers that I have probably watched a hundred times or an episode of Frasier which I may have watched ten times. (There are only 12 episodes of Basil Fawlty but.264 episodes of Frasier Crane). I won't be watching any more.
Lust (2022)
Great scripts
In each episode there is at least one scene which is outrageous but so believable. Don't be frightened by having to read the subtitles for those non-Swedes amongst us, this is a great show.
American Crime (2015)
Season One good but Season 2 is tedious
After a promising start and going ahead with the same actors from Seaon one, Season two got off to a shaky start. The first few episodes I watched back to back but from episode 3 onwards, I've watched them weekly however, I've found them quite difficult to follow and find some of the characters a bit bland. Maybe it's more lifelike but I don't feel like I'm being entertained!
Very much in a similar vein to "How to get away With Murder" which has been much more difficult to follow in the second season.
I'd probably recommend that you watch all of season 2 back to back however, I feel that I would easily get bored watching a load of these one after the other and would need to break them up with something of substance like "Chicago PD" or "Graceland".
