Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Why???
I love this show, I like the love, the community and the friendships. I give this a 7, I am entertained. But I do not like the religious focus. I get it, in the southern US, people are religious. But why do the youth not question it? The religion is handed down as truth, but it is just something that has been passed down for generations. «Your good behaviour excuses you from skipping church on Sunday». Which parent say that? The majority in Norway would not. Thankfully, we are secular country..
Family Reunion (2019)
I threw up in my mouth..
I have always been a fan of shows with a live studio audience. This show have some moments of fun, but the foundation of it makes me sick. A normal family moves in with the grandparents, who are extremely religious. They expect that everyone in the family should follow their way of life. It's foul Christianity with resiting Bible verses and violence. A kid was beaten with a belt for accidentally starting a fire. How do the parents allow it? Why did they move there? If any person beat my kids, I would beat them back, twice as hard, as any normal parent would. I will watch to the end of the show hoping for a massive change in character for the grandparents, but I doubt it..
The Night Shift (2014)
I love it, but...
I love hospital shows, and this is no exception. But....I am really not a fan of the religious stuff, though. Prayers? This is a show that is based on modern science. I hate it when they make the characters turn to Christianity for hope and prayers. Science should be enough. This is the reason why shows like Grey's anatomy and The good doctor are a perfect 10. Remove the religion, and you guys will reach the number with double digits!
