Darkness (2002)
8/10
I love this movie!
19 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
It was very interesting. I think the director should explore more the dark in the end, the monsters, they were really horrible, and scary! And he didn't use them too much.. every time they appears I got scared.. I think Anna Paquin was perfect, she really gave an amazing performance, and so did Lena Olin!

I heard there are two endings. The American ending is simple but pretty clear.. and well.. even tho' I liked, it looked like it was 'and?' you know? He could've work on that too.. give a kind of sequel.. But overall I think it was a pretty good movie, with good performances, and I love the dark! They always work on horror movies. I still believe the best horror movie that works better with the dark is Halloween and The Others. This one was pretty close. I just think the demons, could have been better explored!!

8/10! I love the intention of the movie!

Veronica's Closet (1997–2000)
Love this show!
22 January 2005
It's one of the best shows ever! Dunno why it ended so early.. I was expecting at least a decade of a such funny sitcom! Some worst sitcoms are lasting more than this! That's so unfair.. Kirstie Alley is surprisingly funny as the leading character Veronica, and well, she never gets boring! The leading roles, tend to be boring, but this one no! She's very funny, sweet, crazy and stuff! And etc..! Dunno why this series got so many bad reviews.. It's so funny and so intelligent as Friends, and The Nanny.. Kathy Najimy is also very funny as Olive, and the whole cast! Even Ron Silver, as Alec! I don't laugh for everything, and this series still crack me up every time, some situations there, just make you laugh out and loud. It's really worth a check. I hope they return with this sitcom.. I really miss new episodes.. even tho we watch the old ones, and you never get tired! You still laugh from the same thing over and over again, and it's very rare to this happens nowadays.. It's really disappointed it got cancel.. It should never get cancelled! It was a great idea, and great acted and well, it just should never be cancelled.. I miss V&C :(

Such a good sequence!
14 January 2005
Watch this movie! Even tho' you didn't like The Exorcist II! This movie is really worth a watch! It has a lot of creepy moments, and a lot of scare scenes too! This movie is really underrated for coming after such a horrible sequence as that 2nd part.. That's all I can say.. People give this movie bad reviews because Ex.2 gave the series such a bad name... Just for you people, who discriminate this movie look This movie has 2 of the most scary scenes! So if u're interested, just watch it! You can even see the pictures first, but nothing like watching really the movie! It's a lot different! ;) I give this movie a 7/10! It's guaranteed fun!

El Chavo del Ocho (1972–1983)
The best show ever!
14 January 2005
Really, if you didn't watch, you have to! If you like comedy, it's a rule to watch any episode of this fantastic TV series. It was done for kids, but whoever watches it will get hypnotized, and enchanted by the charisma of every character on it! "El Chavo" or "Chavo del Ocho" tells the story about a poor boy, Chavo, that supposedly lives at the house number 8, but spends most time, or better, whole series, into a barrel. And a lot of things happens, with him, Chilindrina, Don Ramón (my favorite character) and everyone! Each episode means, a lot of fun! It's really amazing how it never gets old. It was done in 73, and even in 2004, kids watch it and laugh of the same things over again. Even adults, and teenagers, watch it and again laugh of the same situation. It's really magical, and even Bolaños can't explain how he did that! And it seems, we will have much more 'Chavo' in the years to come, and people will keep watching it, and it'll have the same high ratings, every time it's being aired on TV. Really, it's something fantastic. I think it's like the only Mexican TV-show that had that kind of acceptance in every continent it was transmitted. So if you haven't watch it, I suggest you to give a try for this humble and very good intentioned series, that has a very nice message too. :)

Battle Royale (2000)
8/10
Really good!
14 January 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed Battle Royale. It has a lot of drama, suspense, and for horror movie fans, a lot of deaths.. But I guess the horror in this movie is not on monsters and ghosts and etc... but on teenagers! It could be a really disturbing for those politically correct.. I just found few flaws in this movie.. *SPOILER* I think the actors could just be less exaggerated when dying.. It looked like they had time to say whatever they want, and just in a click, they die! I mean, that looked pretty funny to me.. Also that scene at the lighthouse, when the girls start shooting themselves.. The fact that led to that scene was pretty interesting, but I think that the acting there was pretty artificial.. I don't know if it was that the Japanese's way to act is pretty dynamic. But IMO it happened very fast.. That didn't happen only in that scene, but in some others too. In a movie like this, you have to explore more the emotion, and the drama.. The director didn't too much, in scenes like that. A powerful movie, if you watch not-caring-at-all, you won't care at all for the characters.. I'll look like an adventure movies and all that fantasy stuff.. But the rest, it's really good. Believable characters, and nice dramas as well.. Worth a watch, with attention.. I mean.. It just wasn't what I expected.. but definitely better than a lot of movies done nowadays. And this movie's from 2000

Great movie!
18 July 2003
I was kinda scared to watch this movie, cause I don't care really for the Terminators movie. I liked the second one, and when I went to watch this one, I thought that was going to be weaker.. And in fact is, cause there's no way to make a movie any better than T2, but back to the subject...

I found this movie to be quite exciting and pure entertainament. The actions were great. Arnold is back and funnier. When he wore those star-glasses, LMAO! And Nick Stahl made a damn good job by replacing Furlong, and Danes, who also did a believable acting. But I'll make my words for the gorgeous Kristanna Loken!

People here are saying that's her debut. This is not her debut. She made the Mortal Kombat series, and she knows how to fight and etc. And I guess she did an excellent job as the lethal T-X. You guys are just used to the villains being guys, on the T series.. and when it comes a girl, its a bit weird, but she did pretty well. And it's got some beautiful action scenes. Jonathan Mostow also with a solid and direct direction, give us straight to the action, since the beginning til it's end. Worth watching! 8/10.
