Somewhere in Queens (2022)
A Heartfelt Exploration of Parental Sacrifice and Lost Dreams"
So, I just watched "Somewhere in Queens," starring Ray Romano, and let me tell you, it hit me right in the feels. This movie resonated with me on a deep level because it tackled the complex dynamics of parental relationships. I've always believed that parental relationships can be the toughest, where someone ends up losing their own identity for the sake of others, often going unnoticed.
In "Somewhere in Queens," the film brilliantly portrays the struggles and sacrifices that parents make for their children. It sheds light on the unspoken burdens carried by those who put their own dreams on hold to ensure their children's happiness and success. The movie captures the poignant moments where the weight of these sacrifices becomes painfully apparent.
One particular theme that stood out to me was the fathers' desire to see their own unrealized dreams come to life through their sons. It's a recurring pattern in many parent-child relationships, where the fathers project their aspirations onto their children, hoping to fulfill their own ambitions vicariously. This dynamic adds a layer of complexity and adds to the emotional depth of the story.
In conclusion, "Somewhere in Queens" beautifully delves into the complexities of parental relationships, highlighting the sacrifices made and the often overlooked struggles faced by those who put their children's needs above their own. The movie poignantly explores the tension between lost identities and unfulfilled dreams, particularly through the lens of father-son relationships. Ray Romano delivers a heartfelt performance that truly immerses you in the emotions of the story. If you're looking for a film that captures the complexities of parental love and sacrifice, "Somewhere in Queens" is a must-watch.
65 (2023)
Impressive Graphics but a Pointless Plot
So, I just watched the movie "65," and I have to say, I didn't quite get the point of it. The film revolves around visitors from an ultra-developed planet who come to Earth, only to find a world dominated by dinosaurs with no sign of human beings. They struggle to go back to their own planet before the asteroid hits Earth and wipes out the dinosaurs. I couldn't help but wonder if they were meant to be the first man and woman on Earth, but the movie never really explores that idea.
I have to admit, the graphics in "65" were impressive. The prehistoric world and the dinosaurs looked incredibly realistic, and the visual effects were top-notch. But despite the stunning visuals, the overall idea of the movie felt pointless. It lacked a clear direction or purpose. I was left wondering what the filmmakers were trying to convey or what message they wanted to send.
Instead of delving deeper into the intriguing concept of these visitors becoming the first humans on Earth, the film focused more on their struggle to return to their own planet. The impending asteroid collision served as a backdrop, but it felt disconnected from the initial premise. It left me feeling unsatisfied and questioning the purpose of the entire movie.
In conclusion, while "65" showcased impressive graphics, the lack of a coherent and meaningful plot detracted from the overall experience. The movie failed to explore the potential of its initial concept, leaving viewers with a sense of disappointment and confusion. Despite the visual spectacle, "65" ultimately fell short in delivering a purposeful and engaging storyline.
Faithfully Yours (2022)
A Gripping Thriller that Explores Lies, Unfaithfulness, and Sexual Fantasies
So, I just finished watching the movie "Faithfully Yours," and let me tell you, I really enjoyed it. It's a thrilling ride from start to finish. One of the things that stood out to me is the exploration of lies in life. The movie really drives home the point that lies are inevitable and can have far-reaching consequences. It's a reminder that no one is immune to the temptation of deception.
Another aspect that impressed me was how the film challenged traditional notions of unfaithfulness. It breaks away from the stereotype that only men can be unfaithful. "Faithfully Yours" portrays women as complex characters who are capable of infidelity as well. This refreshing approach adds depth to the story and brings a more realistic portrayal of human relationships.
The movie also delves into the realm of sexual fantasies, highlighting that they are normal and a part of human nature. It doesn't shy away from exploring the complexities of desire and how it can affect relationships. This openness and honesty about human sexuality adds another layer of authenticity to the film.
In conclusion, "Faithfully Yours" is a captivating thriller that explores the inevitability of lies in life. It challenges traditional notions of unfaithfulness and presents a realistic portrayal of human relationships. The movie's exploration of sexual fantasies adds depth and authenticity to the story. If you're looking for an engaging thriller that delves into the complexities of human nature, "Faithfully Yours" is definitely worth a watch.
Evil Dead Rise (2023)
A Gruesome Horror Experience with Questions of Purpose Review:
I recently watched the movie Evil Dead Rise, and I have to say, I don't understand why horror movies have to be so disgustingly bloody. I mean, blood everywhere, gruesome scenes, and what's the point of Satan possessing a human and going on a killing spree? It left me wondering about the purpose behind such extreme portrayals in horror films.
The level of gore in Evil Dead Rise was truly off-putting. While I understand that horror movies aim to frighten and shock audiences, the excessive violence and graphic imagery can be overwhelming. I found myself questioning whether the explicit visuals truly added to the narrative or if they were simply included for shock value.
Moreover, the plot revolving around Satanic possession and the ensuing carnage left me wondering about the deeper meaning behind it all. What was the purpose of showcasing such brutal acts? I was hoping for a more profound exploration or thematic significance beyond the surface-level shock factor.
In conclusion, Evil Dead Rise offers a gruesome horror experience that may divide viewers with its excessive bloodshed and graphic violence. While it caters to fans of the genre who enjoy intense and shocking visuals, those seeking deeper meaning or thematic exploration might be left wanting. The movie raises questions about the purpose behind extreme gore and the significance of its supernatural premise.
Paint (2023)
A Slow-Paced Exploration of Artistic Appreciation and Regret
Paint, a movie featuring Owen Wilson, unfortunately falls victim to its slow pace, leaving viewers longing for a more engaging and dynamic storyline. As someone who tends to have reservations about Owen Wilson's movies, this film only reaffirmed those doubts. The perplexing choice to portray Wilson's character with a striking resemblance to Bob Ross further added to the overall confusion of the film, as it was not intended as a biopic.
One of the few takeaways from Paint is the underlying theme that artists often go unrecognized and unappreciated during their lifetime. The movie attempts to convey the message that it is only after an artist's passing that their works suddenly gain immense value and recognition. While this concept holds potential for an interesting exploration of the art world, the film fails to fully develop this theme and instead gets lost in its slow-paced narrative.
Regrettably, Paint falls short in capturing the audience's attention and fails to deliver a compelling storyline. The slow pace further amplifies the sense of frustration, leaving viewers longing for more engaging and dynamic moments. Despite the potential for a thought-provoking exploration of the artistic struggle for recognition, the film's execution leaves much to be desired.
In conclusion, Paint suffers from its slow pace and questionable choices in character portrayal. The movie touches on the idea of artists' lack of appreciation during their lifetime, but fails to fully delve into this concept. As a viewer, it is difficult to overlook the film's sluggish tempo and missed opportunities for a more engaging narrative. Unfortunately, Paint falls short of leaving a lasting impression or resonating with its audience, resulting in a somewhat disappointing viewing experience.
Lakewood (2021)
A Slow-Paced Thriller with Questionable Plot Choices
Desperate Hour, a suspenseful movie, presents a slow-paced narrative that may leave viewers frustrated due to questionable plot choices. While the film attempts to build tension through a constant pursuit, it falls short in providing logical explanations for the protagonist's actions, particularly her decision not to ask for immediate assistance to escape the forest.
One of the significant drawbacks of Desperate Hour is its sluggish tempo, which hampers the film's ability to maintain an engaging momentum. The slow pacing often feels drawn out, resulting in a lack of urgency that could have heightened the suspense and kept audiences more engaged. Instead, the prolonged scenes and leisurely progression of events contribute to a sense of frustration and impatience.
Furthermore, the protagonist's choice not to request help from the authorities to navigate her way out of the forest remains perplexing. Although she contacts 911 to inquire about her son, her failure to utilize this resource to ensure her own safety raises questions about the character's decision-making process. This plot choice may strain the credibility of the story and leave viewers feeling confused and disconnected from the narrative.
While Desperate Hour may have had potential to deliver a gripping and suspenseful experience, its slow pace and questionable plot decisions hinder its overall impact. The film's failure to create a sense of urgency and the protagonist's illogical choice to not seek immediate assistance weaken the story's cohesion and believability.
In conclusion, Desperate Hour falls short of delivering a compelling thriller due to its slow-paced narrative and questionable plot choices. The film's leisurely tempo and the protagonist's perplexing decision not to ask for immediate help contribute to viewer frustration and a sense of disconnect. While the movie may still have some redeeming qualities, it fails to fully capitalize on its potential, resulting in a disappointing and confusing viewing experience.
Hunger (2023)
A Stark Reflection on Shallow Values and the Struggle for Recognition
Hunger, a thought-provoking movie available on Netflix, delves deep into the grim reality of the creative industry, shining a light on the shallow nature of individuals and the overwhelming emphasis placed on personal branding and publication. In a world where quality work often takes a backseat to appearances and popularity, this film serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by talented individuals who find themselves overshadowed by the relentless pursuit of recognition.
The movie portrays a compelling narrative that follows the journey of a passionate artist who pours their heart and soul into their work, striving for excellence and delivering nothing short of their best. However, Hunger unapologetically exposes the bitter truth that despite their unwavering dedication and the quality they offer, success ultimately hinges on factors that extend beyond talent and craftsmanship.
One of the most disheartening aspects of Hunger is its unflinching portrayal of a society obsessed with superficiality, where individuals value personal branding and the reputation of publications above all else. The movie challenges the notion that genuine talent and hard work are sufficient to achieve recognition and success. It serves as a scathing critique of a system that often rewards mediocrity as long as it is packaged in an appealing way.
The performances in Hunger are exceptional, effectively capturing the frustration and despair of individuals who are constantly overlooked in favor of those with better connections or more marketable images. The film's direction and cinematography further enhance the narrative, creating an atmosphere that reflects the protagonist's struggle to break through the barriers imposed by a shallow industry.
Ultimately, Hunger is a powerful exploration of the inner workings of the creative industry and the challenges faced by those who are genuinely passionate about their craft. It serves as a reminder that true talent and dedication often go unnoticed in a world that prioritizes superficiality and popularity. This movie urges viewers to question the prevailing value systems and reassess the way success is defined and achieved in the creative realm.
In conclusion, Hunger is a thought-provoking film that shines a light on the shallowness of individuals and the inherent flaws within the creative industry. It deftly portrays the frustration and disappointment experienced by talented individuals who are overshadowed by personal branding and the pursuit of publication. Through its compelling storytelling and powerful performances, Hunger offers a poignant reminder that true recognition should be based on merit and substance, rather than on the allure of popularity and branding.
The Good Mothers (2023)
A Gripping Series Unveiling the Harsh Reality of Women in Europe
The Good Mothers, a riveting series available on Disney+, offers a thought-provoking narrative that sheds light on the unsettling truth that women in Europe still face significant challenges and struggles, even in the 21st century. Whether it's navigating treacherous relationships, fighting against systemic injustices, or facing the terrifying consequences of crossing powerful figures, the series portrays a side of Europe that is far from the rosy picture painted in mainstream media.

The series serves as a call to action, urging audiences to confront the uncomfortable truths that exist within their own societies and work towards meaningful change. It reminds us that cinematic portrayals often fall short of capturing the full spectrum of human experiences, and that a closer examination of reality is necessary to create a fair and just world.
In conclusion, The Good Mothers is a gripping and eye-opening series that confronts the notion of women's safety in Europe. By presenting a stark contrast to the utopian portrayals often seen in movies, it provides a compelling narrative that underscores the challenges and struggles faced by women in the 21st century. Through its powerful storytelling and exceptional performances, the show serves as a reminder that life is not always as pink as depicted on the silver screen, and encourages viewers to question the status quo and strive for a more equal and just society.
Qalb Ummuh (2018)
Terrible
Waste of time...
Really wasted hour and a half...
Ahmad fahmy is funnier than you guys..
Rememory (2017)
We are nothing without our memories...
The idea of the movie is the kind i like, an advanced tech professor invents a device that animates humans memories, even those one that is hard to remember. Peter Dinklage was as usual awesome. But the movie itself was lacking some action, it was boring in the middle, the device which was animating the memories was so primitive & anybody was able to operate it, i think such an advanced high tech machine would be hard to operate, but at last it helped the hero to confront the bad memory which he was trying not ot remember, & he finally found peace. In general it was worth to watch.
The Last Days on Mars (2013)
The name of boredom...
This was the most boring movie I've watched ever. I like space movies but this one is really have nothing to tell, & i'm wondering how i finished it. The name & the trailer makes you feel the suspense you can have from an ordinary space movie, but it all disappears at the end of the movie. Even the scenes, the cameras the way the movie was pictured is as if the producers tried to shoot it with the minimum budget possible. However the main idea of the virus that kills but the body still can move is kind of new, but it is not so reasonable, i mean other space movies either tell us things that are imaginative we can't have enough evidence on, but we accept'em in the context they're given to us, but this one was unacceptable at least for me.
