Shadow and Bone (2021)
The supremacy that is Ben Barnes
I didn't read the books nor do I know what the character arcs of the series will go. But for a character to already convince me that, despite the explicit admission of darkness, he doesn't deserve the despise coming his way, is just spectacular! Ben Barnes is a force that is not recognized enough and that's an absolute shame. His commitment and acting is phenomenal and it elevates the story beautifully.
The series is compelling and visually splendid. Looking forward to the next season.
Brazen (2022)
I would give it a 0 if I could...
This has been a waste of 1.5 hours... The story is in shambles, the acting is non-existent and Milano (as expected) had to have her boobs out at some point... It was cringe-worthy and truly unwatchable. Save yourself the discomfort.
Free Guy (2021)
Spur of the moment, fantastic decision!
This is the first movie I see in theaters in 1.5 years and it was a spur of the moment decision but, boy was that fun!
This is a suuuuuper fun movie! Not for for everyone, unfortunately, since it has a lot of violent scenes. But it's a breath of fresh air after a bleak, movie-free period.
100% recommended if you just want something fun to watch!
50M² (2021)
Different and refreshing!
This is so very different from all Turkish series I've seen. It's filled with action, a solid storyline and the most absurd comedic thread very expertly weaved within its fabric.
Love it and totally recommend!
Ramo (2020)
A new addiction!
This is one (if not the best) turkish series I have seen since the first 2 seasons of Cukur!
It's never dull, has everything that you want to see from drama to action to romance to humor and has some of the best acting I have seen in YEARS!
Esra is a force and her acting skills are unparalleled for someone at her age!
And Murat... WOW! I have seen people act with full on emotions; throwing fits and being explosive in their performances. In this, Murat is just sensational! He manages to convey all emotions from a single look or a whispered word. I am honestly shook because I never knew he was this good.
All in all, this is a great show well worth investing 2 hours a week in. You will NOT be sorry!
House M.D.: Both Sides Now (2009)
Whoooah!
No words are enough to describe the masterpiece that is this episode.
A whirlwind with a shocking end! A season finale can't get better than this!
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
A masterpiece!
This is a stunning series... It ticks off all the boxes.
It's a compelling story with strong characters. The production is exquisite from set design, to costume design, to the cinematography, direction, lighting to the acting and music.
The acting in this is a masterclass. The casting was impeccable and the performances were mesmerizing.
I particularly loved character of Townes. Although his screen time was not long, he provided a depth and humanity to the entire story line, uniting all the threads in that last episode.
Having said that, in my opinion, the true hero of this series is the music. My God, the music! It's majestic and sensational! It provided nuances in exactly the right moments with exactly the right intensity all while majestically accompanying the scenes... It was just a delight!
All in all, a show worth watching. I can't find a single fault in it other than the fact that it ended too soon for my liking.
Tenet (2020)
It all hinges on 30 seconds...
This is another absolute masterpiece from Nolan!
All you heard is probably true. This is an alternate dimensions story, playing with time, with outstanding characters and exceptional music to go with it.
I can't explain it if I tried... And its understanding will probably hinge on 30 seconds in the dead center of the movie (literally the mid point in the mid third of the movie). Miss it, and you'll need a second, maybe even a third watch.
Nolan is as always a mad genius... Washington is keeping on cementing his presence in the industry and Pattinson is a calm, consistent pillar to the movie! Debicki provided that emotional weight to the story brilliantly and Branagh is a solid villain.
Music is one of the best aspects of the movie and the cinematography/effects deserve an Oscar unequivocally.
This is a must see! And expect being a little lost. But once you're "found" it will be the most supreme feeling ever!
Sherlock: His Last Vow (2014)
Proclaiming my love for Martin Freeman
This is a review I'm making for the sole reason of utter and complete appreciation of the genius that is Martin Freeman!
The expressions of this man are INSANE! How he acts out every single word is nothing short of a marvel.
I am just in awe!
The episode is satisfaction incarnate! The perfect wrap to a slightly above average series that takes it back to what it originally was... One of the best shows ever to be made!
Bravo!
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
Another timeless classic has just been made...
This has the making of a class written all over it. Gibson and Penn are shinning at what is arguably one of their best performances to date.
This is an intriguing, touching and heartbreaking story about guilt, love, forgiveness and above all perseverance.
I was hooked from the first to the last minute. This has been stowed away with the likes of "A beautiful mind" and "The imitation game". Powerful movie worth your time!
Halka (2019)
The next big thing
I am literally at the edge of my seat waiting for the third episode!
This series is full of twists and turns and intricate mysteries that don't seem to end!
Totally recommend!
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
That's how you introduce the genius that is Queen to a whole new generation!
If there is one thing in particular that I liked about this movie, it's the fact that this is an ideal opportunity to introduce Queen to a generation who might have never heard of them!
From the acting to the cinematography, not one thing about this movie is bad! I don't care if there is some discrepancies between the movie and what actually happened. This is NOT a documentary.
It is also not a Freddie Mercury movie, this is a Queen movie! And it was an absolute privilege to see how some of my absolute favorite songs were created.
All in all, this is one movie to watch that will make you feel nostalgic, excited, sad and incredibly happy.
If you're not a Queen fan, believe me, you will be!
I only gave this a 9/10 because there are 2 or 3 moments in this movie that I could have done without and used the couple of minutes to feature some more songs.
Going on the list to be one of my favorites for sure!

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
I literally did not stop laughing
This is a fun movie from opening to closing credits!
I hadn't laughed like that in years and there's a couple of instances in there where I was genuinely laughing SO hard, I couldn't catch a breath!
The whole cast is magnificent, but Kevin Heart is a pure treasure, HILARIOUS!
It's a great movie for a fun movie night!
Game Night (2018)
A genuinely fun movie.
I haven't been this entertained by a movie in a LONG time.
It's consistently funny, hilarious at times and you just can't feel the time passing.
This is a perfect mix of Drama, Thrill and Comedy and the balance is almost flawless.
The dialogue is witty and the story is very well written and it's written for the sole purpose of entertaining.
Jason Bateman and Amy Adams are amazing here, but it's the ensemble of all other supporting cast who really makes this movie.
A very well written, entertaining and genuinely funny movie.
An 8/10.
House M.D. (2004)
The one I will keep going back to...
I had seen a couple of episodes of this gem when it aired, but for some reason, I didn't continue to watch.
Well, I'm glad I didn't at the time, because waiting for a new season of this show would have been torturous!
I watch the 8 seasons back to back in a span of 1 month. It's just that good.
This show has everything... It has humor, sarcasm, definitely has drama but the most important components here are the magnificent character arcs and relationships. They're so complex but yet so perfect you just can't get enough of the dis-functionality! The writing is just sublime!
This has become, by far, my favorite TV show. And it is the one I'll keep going back to whenever I feel like there's nothing worthy to watch.
Black Panther (2018)
Redundant and unnecessary. Disappointment for a huge fan!
Ok, I get that they want to introduce the character and give it an arc. But that didn't happen for Hulk (In an "Avengers" scheme, although it should have) and it sure as hell wasn't necessary for this one.
The movie was WAY too long, boring and just redundant. Everything past the 30 minute mark was just a waste of time and money.
They grossly overplayed the "African" aspect and it just felt like it was shoved in your face in every single chance they got. Hell, even Ross (Martin Freeman's character) felt to be forced to recognize and be a part of the "tribe".
As a huge Marvel fan, I was incredibly excited to see this, see the universe expand. But I was hugely disappointed.
The only thing I can commend in this movie are the visual effects and the music. Loved them.
The Greatest Showman (2017)
I've been looking forward to this for months! And I was NOT disappointed!
Ever since I saw the first trailer of this film, I couldn't wait to see it. It looked big, colorful, meaningful and the songs drew me in like no other musical ever did.
This movie has passion written all over it. You can see how passionate everyone is in every single scene. Having said that, Hugh Jackman redefines the word with this outstanding performance! And I'm not talking about the singing and dancing (although he was fantastic in that too) ,the close ups on this man's face throughout this movie shows how diverse, emotive and sublime he is.
Zac Efron, Zendaya and Keala deliver perfect performances. And the whole cast is just sensational.
The directing is outstanding, but the cinematography is superb! This movie is a visual wonderland!
In a few short words, this movie made me feel very good, was very fun and extremely well made.
I am definitely going to see that movie again and taking all my friends with me!
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
Where has this been hiding?!
An absolute gem! I wonder why I've never heard of it before.
This movie is sexy, witty, entertaining and full of action.
Hammer and Cavill's performances are above and beyond. They portray the characters just right, giving them the right amount of toughness with just the right amount of humor.
Thoroughly enjoyed it! And would love to see a part 2!
Wonder (2017)
Beautiful movie....
It's a beautiful movie with so much heart! Jacob Tremblay (Auggie) is truly a wonder! He portrayed the role perfectly and with so much maturity, it was shocking at times! Noah Jupe (Jack) is the cutest thing! He is a revaluation and a joy to watch! Julia Roberts, as always, manages to bring light to the movies she's in. She just shines, especially in this role where she is a very caring, very "human" mom who drops the ball every once and a while. Owen Wilson lightens up the tone just at the right moments.
It's a beautiful story, an outstanding cast and just a good overall experience.
Justice League (2017)
Well...
I'm giving this a 4 merely because it would be a shame not to give props for the visuals in this movie. I am a Marvel girl, and until recently, I hadn't seen Batman Vs. Superman. Again, I wasn't really impressed when I saw it but it did tug on my heart strings to the extent that I willingly went to see Justice League (Kudos to the makers there... Mission Accomplished).
Well, what a disappointment that was!
I felt the film was way too long. It really was so boring at some places for me. If it wasn't for the tiny bit of humor the Flash injects in the movie and the couple of sarcastic comments from Batman and Aquaman, I wouldn't even have given it the 4 out of 10. I didn't understand what the hype was about.
All in all, it's a masterfully crafted visual movie with no substance.
Suits: Skin in the Game (2017)
What a way to begin a season!
I have been waiting for this episode since the last one aired and I could not have been more satisfied!
The whole season 6 was kinda all over the place as far a structure goes for Pearson Specter Litt with the whole Mike thing and an order needed to be set. This episode was perfect in balancing all this and more!
Completely satisfied and can't wait for the next one!
