What is democracy?

Is it a government preventing the people to find out the truth because it is deemed too classified?

Is it a government that is transparent in its actions in order to help people find out the truth?

Is it damaging to the democracy to the know the truth? Or does the truth keep the democracy alive?

This movie was mind boggling to me. I can't believe this actually happened in a so called democracy. I remember when this happened and was surprised at how poor this girl was treated publicly and officially.

Excellent movie. You can really feel the tension all through. I recommend everyone to see it. People need to learn about this.

As a non-US and non-UK citizen, I can wholeheartadly say that this is what I really appreciate. A show with suspence, heart, surprise and emotion.

Compared to the US shows where there are a lot of fights and action but no substance, this is more like it. The UK proves yet again that they are superior in making quality TV with good stories, great characters, and with a lot of heart and emotion.

Holliday Grainger and Tom Burke are killing it as the main characters. They are tough, they are emotional, and most of all, they are relatable.

Well done. I hope for many more seasons to come. I just love this series.

Werewolf by Night (2022 TV Movie)

Best thing Marvel has done in a long time

I loved it! The style, the vibe, the cinematography, the direction, the music! Everything was just fantastic. The throwback to old horror movies was done so well. The black and white also made it possible to have gore that didn't feel like cheap gorish mess. Also loved all the actors, especially Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly. It's hard to believe that this is the directorial debut for Michael Giacchino. Top directing, and Giacchino's music fits in perfectly.

The only complaint I might have is that it was too short! I want more of Jack, Elsa and Ted/Man-Thing. What a fantastic addition they would be to the Marvel Universe.

I love this show

I've been in the US a lot of times. And this is exactly what I see everytime. This show perfectly give you what's wrong with the US society today. You really need to do something about it...or just leave, People think they need therapy...what they need is some fundamental change... Is this the world you want to live in? There must be something better right? It's so easy to get stuck in what we think is right...but feels so wrong. But how do you get out of that?

The American people as I know them are very proud people. I am confident they can snap out of this mess. They really need to...and they can!

Fanatics are always dangerous, but the most dangerous ones are the religious fanatics.

This was an interesting take on the stupidity of religion, and how it can twist every single "holy sentence" into some holy purpose. These crazy fanatics don't recognize evil, even if it stands right in front of them.

It's been a while since the first season. But I remember I loved it. Now I am two episode into season 2 and I am loving it even more.

It's funny, wholesome, and just plain amazing.

Deutschland 89 (2020)

A wonderful conclusion to this trilogy about the cold war. Lots of loose ends and storylines are resolved....in a way. But are they really? These people who are all pawns in a political chess game can't really escape their past.

And that is what is so great about this series. There is really no clear villain or hero here, all are just doing their jobs. Shown here in a brilliant way imo.

A lot of reviewers were critical about the last 10 seconds (especially certain Americans), but I think that was a great montage of pictures of where we are going...or might be going. History will reoeat itself unfortunately.

And as an outsider being to the US a lot, and know some about American politics, I can say that I am worried where we are now. The country hasn't been this politically divided since the civil war.

1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything (2021)

Could have been great...but it isn't

This is a great documentary about the United States in the early 70s. And that's perfectly fine. But the title should be "1971: The year that music changed the US".

Americans tend to look at themselves as the center of the world and fail to know or simply aren't interested in what happens outside the US. "What's going on?" Yeah, I wanna know too...do you?

Monster Hunter (2020)

If you like action and thinks army guys are cool - then this movie might be for you.

But if you like more intelligent movies, and are tired of army guys that are supposed to be cool and know that action isn't a must for a good movie - this one isn't for you.

Pointless movie. Period. End of review.

Chaos Walking (2021)

Wow! What a surprise!

I really liked this one. The concept was unique and very interesting. Yes, being able to hear other's thoughts must be very useful at times, but mostly it must be unbearable.

There was one subplot I really didn't like though. The Preacher. Why oh why did they have to go down this ridiculous religous path? It didn't fit at all and took down the movie a notch or two.

But overall, great movie!

This is Melissa McCarthy on form. I just love her. I usually don't watch comedies but Melissa is something special.

Octavia was a bit of a miscast, but nevermind. This film was great fun. And I guess the sour reviewers that gave this a bad grade just can't handle that two women in their 40s can be superheroes.

I always wanted to go on a cruise in the Pacific or in the Caribbeans or something. After seeing this movie I realize I would be bored to death. So, no cruise for me.

Some great acting performances here, but the story overall is not that interesting. Pity.

It was very sweet. It was super sweet. In fact, it was so sweet that I need to take a sugar diet break for at least a month. That is Hallmark for you. All sweetness and (nowadays as it seems) very PC.

It is a step forward for the cringe wrothy stuff Hallmark put out before, so I give them that. But the sweetness...LOL. It is just too much.

And has anybody ever told the Americans that when it comes to Christmas decorations skills they are a bit on the tacky side...:)

So...overall just a 4 from me...but you go Hallmark! You're on the right path...and maybe you can make a movie soon that is not full of syrup?

Great actors, especially Jim Parsons. I wish though that it should have been in present time. I know the original play is from 1968, but it felt a bit old. They could have modernised it, the theme is timeless and could have been today.

I liked it! However, Robbie Amell's acting (and his whole persona) reminds me a lot of a young Tom Cruise. I'm not sure if that is a good thing.

I can't believe that cheerleading is still a thing in the US. A bunch of girls strutting around in front of a bunch of dudes. Very 19th century.

The stupid cheerleading aside, there is just some mean girls doing immature mean things. No thanks.
