Horrid

Six of the biggest losers to ever run for governor in one room. Makes you shudder. You have to give them credit for trying. Although I think most couldn't get elected dog catcher.....

In the end, the money went to the biggest boob (or pair of them), Mary Carey.

WinTuition (2002–2004)
No, it CAN be won, if you have enough smarts & knowledge.

Just because YOU don't think you could win, trackchris1987, doesn't mean the game is not able to be won. I watch this show regularly & have seen 2 people win the 50,000. Cram they GIVE them the answers. With WinTuition, you have to already know the answers. WinTuition is not for the feint of heart (or mind).

E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982 Video Game)
This game is rather bad.
28 October 2003
The programmer had 5 weeks to design, program & test this game so that Atari could get it manufactured & into stores in time for Christmas. Many blame this one game with crashing the video game market in the mid-80's. While this game helped kill Atari, what crashed things was lots of crappy games from over 30 companies that had jumped on board hoping to make a quick buck. One of those companies, U.S. Games, was a division of Quaker Oats!

All I can say is "sad".
11 August 2003
All I can say is "sad". This is a disgrace to Iron Chef. I mean, when they announced their challenging chef as 'the rock and roll chef', I knew they had hit a new low. William Shatner just looks pompous as the chairman in those colorful suits. Like I said, just sad.

The Dig (1995 Video Game)
Not too bad. Lacked humor but had reason for that.

I felt this game was not bad. The game had a great plot and made you feel like what you were doing was going to SERIOUSLY mess you up if you messed up. It lacked humor but I felt that was to highlight the seriousness of your current situation. My only complaint was that some of the voice acting was rather bland. Mainly Robert Patrick and Mari Weiss. It was like they were just reading their scripts and felt this was below their talents.

E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (1982 Video Game)
It is worse than you think
24 July 2003
It is believed that ET: The Extra Terrestrial helped bring about the video game crash of 1984. Many feel that after having been burned by the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man that buyers adopted a 'once bitten, twice shy' attitude about buying this game. I, too, have played this so I feel your pain. The guy who programed this also made Raiders of the Lost Ark and Yar's Revenge for Atari 2600. Problem here was he only had 5-6 weeks to design, program and test this game (they wanted it in stores by Christmas and he was given the job in late July).

I disagree with those who hated this....
7 July 2003
I disagree with the posted comment at the front. As a matter of fact, I disagree with all the comments that said they hated this. I rather liked this mini series (I saw it on DVD). Not only was it often amusing but I liked the idea of "What happened AFTER 'Happily ever after'?".

Main problem I had....

OK, so I'm nit-picking. I was really turned off by the explanation of where graboids come from. I mean, precambrian? They are trying to say these things lived in the days of trilobites & brachiopods? And, like Rhonda said in the first movie, we just never saw them until now. Right.

Ian McLAUGHLIN (Ian Mc-3) says that sequels just DON'T work. I disagree. They do work, IF THEY ARE DONE WELL! THIS trash was done with no budget & was done hastily. Except for the last episode ("The Return of Starbuck") the rest of this could....no, SHOULD be thrown in the garbage & forgotten.

Hmmmm. Not what I had hoped.

I have not read the M. L'Engle book upon which this is based so I was not set with preconceived notions about the story but I still thought that this could have been better. Matrixchic007 mentions her dislike of the fact that they made Vicky a blonde and Zachary's hair, eyes, skin & clothes were changed but these are just cosmetic. It was the rather bland way they did the story that made the movie dull.

Otherworld (1985)
Thought it was cool
23 May 2003
When this show was on the air, I was in high school. I thought the show had lots of imagination. Some episodes worked, others didn't. But when they worked, they were great! I just wish there had been more episodes produced. I think there were only like 8 episodes made.
