Neighbor (2009)
Uwe Boll meets Ed Wood
One of my mates brought this over and we figured the movie was going to be in the slasher genre and expected another low budget, silly, fake blood, snooze fest. Sadly, that would have been an upgrade from what we witnessed. This was as boring a movie as one could possibly find in fact I defy you to find a worse movie than this made in the last 30 years. I find in many movies in this genre there always seems to be a lack of talent in the acting department, however in this case, if you call this "acting" you are easily entertained. There wasn't an actor in the bunch. The acting and screen writing was WAY below my expectations, quite possibly the worst I've ever seen. As I write this I'm trying to think of a movie to compare this too that was awful and I can't think of one at the level of this garbage.
Worst is the direction. I don't know who directed this but I would guess they went to Hollywood Upstairs Directing School because it's the worst directed straight-to-DVD movie I've ever seen. Honestly, you have to wonder if this was funded by the "directors" uncle because there's no way any legit source would have given this guy money to make this movie. When you think you can't be amazed, you see this.
One of my mates who was watching this with me summed it up perfectly. He said, "Neighbor was Uwe Boll meets Ed Wood ". He was so wrong. Uwe Boll and Ed Wood were far better filmmakers than the people who put this thing together. I think we have found the new "Worst Director of all Time."
