Devil in Ohio (2022)
PG made for TV miniseries
I thought this was a nice binge and am hoping for a sequel. I appreciated the character roles and the perspectives of how personal views may be different through differing lenses and would love to see more evolvement in the future. I am glad they made a series where the husband doesn't cheat on the wife or vice versa. That is getting so old. I thought it was a creative plot to show cultural, as well as familial, dynamics in a way that it was harder to "blame" a person or persons for actions and the resulting consequences. I felt all of the actors did well, across the board. Again, if there were a second season, I think there is a potential for more character development. And, a big shout out to therapists who assist people through their trauma. It would have been better to show literally everyone getting some kind of therapy, lol, but I'll just assume it's happening, haha.
Amy Schumer Learns to Cook (2020)
Love this show!
The most "real" cooking show I've ever seen besides Pioneer Woman. I feel like I'm in my own "basic" kitchen, in my "real" home, with my "real" family. The food is all stuff I've eaten or would/will eat. I actually got some of the recipes to make. Yum!! I appreciate the substitution ideas, too. The fact that Amy and Chris clearly have a great dynamic makes the show awesome! The bantering and dialog is genuine and fun.
