Jessica (I) (2004 TV Movie)
Captivating refreshing honest look at one girl's journey
20 July 2004
Usually I don't enjoy Australian mini series due to the fact that most of the actors can not act but as I sat down to watch Jessica I was captivated. Jessica is an honest refreshing look at a young girl's journey through a tragic life.

Leeanna Walsman who plays Jessica is refreshing and shoulder's the response of carrying a mini series on her small shoulders. She brings the character to life and is quite believable. This is one girl who will be going places.

Sam Neill is impressive as the drunken Runchie who helps Jessica out and is quite believable.

Lisa Harrow is quite scary as the believable evil mother who sacrifices one daughter for the sake of another. Theirs never been a person I have felt pure hatred for until i met Hester Bergman.i felt she brought the character to life and felt real sorry for Jessica for having a mother like her.

Tony Martin as Joe Bergman (Jess's father) fitted into his role quite nicely. He was believable as the lovable yet detached Joe who looked after his tomboy daughter while his wife was busy with Meg their other daughter who was all into frills and boys.

Olive Ackland as the lovable cute Jack Thomas is a face to watch for. His excellent in his roles and captivates the audience as we see his character grow throughout the film.

All in all the movie was amazing experience to watch and I'll never forget it. I haven't read the book but i can not wait to go out and buy it. Jessica was truly an amazing person who grew stronger each day...

The scenery was beautiful and the whole cast made an amazing mini series that they should be proud off. I don't want to describe what happens because it will ruin the series.

I give this a 10/10 and recommended it anyone who loves mini series and true stories.

Home and Away (1988– )
should be renamed "The Sutherland Show"
26 April 2004
OK so its half way through the year 2004 and I was hoping that Home and Away had grown...grown with the changes in today's world grown with their characters but I switch on the TV and their is Danni Sutherland (played by Tammin Surksok?) getting attacked, stalked and crying once again. Everything that can happen to a girl happens to Danni, which I'm getting sick off. There are other characters in the show that could be used to a much greater extent. How about Hailey (played by Bec Cartright) who instead of prancing around in barely their clothes could actually get a decent story line.

Theirs not even a normal family anymore. Jade starts crying and dying, Kirsty who is 17, married to her sister's attacker and pregnant gets congratulated when she tells her mother, step-mother and father that she's pregnant. What parents would welcome their 17-year-old girl with open arms when they're pregnant by their sister's attacker? (Yes and I do know this is a show its just that they, the writers, are trying to portray real life and I don't believe this is real life)

Alf is a character I like and so was Jesse before he met Leigha. All the characters I truly liked have left the show but I have been watching this show since I was three and now that I'm in my late teens I will continue to watch the lives of the residents of summer bay.

Home and Away should start using the characters they have and the actor's talents not just put them in ridiculous story lines. Do something real, something that would be believable.

Dark Angel: Pilot (2000)
Season 1, Episode 0
intersting as hell
7 August 2003
Ok i know its a bit late to comment but i was going through all my old tv shows and i just remembered Dark Angel for some reason. This show was awsome in its first season. The story lines were captivating, the actors were all good not excellent but good and it was great to see what the future COULD look like one day.

Season two kinder went splat but i guess that can happen when you have to many characters and monsters. When they introduced all the new transgenics it just makes it more complicating trying to work it all out. They should've stick to what they did in the first season and it would've lasted much longer.

Charmed (1998–2006)
is a wicked hour of fun
24 July 2003
Every Thursday for an hour i sit back with a hot chocolate and relax. I lose my self in the lives of three sisters and all the problems they deal with. Charmed is a great witty show about three sisters who have to stick together to work through things. Yeah i know its all make believe but they also teach people that you have to sometimes work together to face problems. I espeically love Piper who i find grounded and honest and knows how to show emotions. When her beloved sister Pru died, Piper fought against it. Phoebe at first was fun and flighty, always getting into trouble and having fun but now they seem to be focusing more on her than any other character, yeah i know shes hot but so are the other two sisters. Paige, well introducing another sister even when most fans missed Pru seemed risky but they managed to pull it off and its getting better than ever. Charmed has gone to a whole new level this season (season five) and especially with the arrival of Leo and Piper's cute baby Wyatt. The sad thing is that Leo has had to leave his family but this leaves great options to see Chris, the girls new whitelighter who doesn't appear to be what he says he is. Summing up Charmed is just a great tv show that continues growing and is a great way to relax after a hard day at work or school and coming home to see people fight demons and other weird things is a great stress reliever.
