Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Dull, dragged out, clichéd and predictable
When I started watching this movie I was hoping it would be better than the first Captain America, which I found severely lacking and bizarre. I am a huge Avengers fan, I love the character of Captain America, I loved the Iron Man movies, the Thor movies etc, but somehow the Captain America movies just fall short. Now, this movie has great acting, it has relatively good dialogue. It introduces a new character right at the beginning, and he has some great charisma and he's very likable. But the plot to this movie is as the title of my review says, clichéd. Every action performed in the film is predictable. I got so bored while watching it, I was almost constantly checking my phone, and they could have made it a lot shorter than it was. There were so many unnecessary scenes and dialogue that did not improve the movie in any way. The "major" plot twists barely had an impact on me. All in all, good acting but poorly executed.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011)
Possibly the best in the series
I watched this movie on July 13th, in Denmark. It was absolutely magnificent. The 3D was great. The movie was very dark and tragic, and they had still managed to add humor to the story. It was very enjoyable. For those who have not read the books, there will be surprises that you cannot foresee. For those who have read the books, the surprises will be well done. This is perhaps the only movie that tells the story with all the detail and beauty that it should be told. You're in for a thrilling end to an amazing series. The acting was fantastic, the special-effects wonderful and the lines and sound was captivating. I am a dedicated Harry Potter fan and have been for 11 years, and when the Credits rolled, I cried. Beautiful movie, well-worth watching again, and again, and again, and again, and again...
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 (2010)
Absolutely magical.
I've been a fan of the Harry Potter series since I first saw the very first movie in the cinemas. I've loved every single movie, some more than others. I went to the cinema with high expectations, and I certainly wasn't disappointed.
This movie has impressed me with the stunning effects, the great acting, the amazing dialog, the emotions, everything. I think they've really managed to catch the feel of hopelessness in this movie, and I'm really happy about that.
During this movie I laughed, cried, jumped in shock and sat on the edge of my seat. It's absolutely fantastic, and I cannot stress that enough.
I strongly recommend this being watched by everyone who has a bit of magic at their hearts, but of course watch the other 7 movies first!
Assassin's Creed (2007)
Good game, good graphics, time well-spent.
I was introduced to this game while visiting my dad for a weekend. He showed me parts of the beautiful landscapes and a mission or two, and I was ready more than ready to play it. I sat down and made a new game, and I was immediately sucked in. I loved it. The graphics were amazing, the cities beautiful, the conversations and the personalities of the characters were good, and I loved how everything just fit together. What I loved most of all in the game was the personality change of Altaïr, the main character, then followed by the free-running and the viewpoints. Making a Leap of Faith always made me smile. The only 3 things I have to say about the game that I don't especially like, is that a lot of the cities and areas are very grey, like the sunlight doesn't reach it properly. Also, just running into a guard makes them angrily chase you, where you'll most likely bump into some more guards. I never was particularly good at escaping guards, so that part annoyed me. The last thing, which I don't dislike, I just don't really like it, was the fact that all the small missions were the same. Pickpocket, Eavesdrop or kill some templars for your fellow assassins. That's all I could think of to dislike. Anyone who enjoys good graphics, good conversations, amazingly well-made characters, beautiful landscapes and great missions will love this game. I know I did.
