Undisputed III: Redemption (2010)
Another Hit!
Please don't dismiss this movie because it doesn't have some big name actor in it. Fans of the trilogy will surely tell you that Undisputed II and III are far better films than the first. Scott Adkins returns as Uri Boyka and his martial arts moves are top notch. The prison fights are intense and the acting credible. This movie is what you paid for, straight forward action with little filler. This is not your average direct to video action flick this is the real deal! Look out for Scott Adkins because he's definitely got some talent and he looks a little like Ben Affleck only with acting skills. Make sure you watch Undisputed II first for the full experience and to see Michael Jai White kick butt.
End of the Line (2007)
Foul language and machismo cannot redeem a poor script and the complete lack of acting ability/experience.
How this movie has achieved a decent rating with over a thousand votes is beyond my comprehension. At first I thought that perhaps I saw a different movie of the same name but this was not the case. The premise of the film was interesting, subway goers get trapped on a train precisely as a cult group decides to hasten the apocalypse. The movie would have been much more watchable, if production values were a little higher. Let's begin with the poor acting, which at times, seemed almost unbearable. Characters are stereotypical of bad horror films and their interactions with each other were utterly ridiculous. For example the scene when the characters are in the subway workers break room is so bad that it must have been written by a child. Foul language and machismo cannot redeem a poor script and the complete lack of acting ability/experience. The conversations amongst the cultists, and their actions taken against the subway goers, were unintentionally humorous and in no way scary. The storyline of the film was flawed on many levels and many questions were left unanswered such as why some of the characters were having visions while others were not and where exactly were the subway security officers while all this was happening. At one point a character remarks that she can't receive a signal on her cellphone but somehow the cultists were able to receive their instructions from their beepers. On a positive note the "demons" that appear far to infrequently actually looked somewhat believable and the film would have benefited greatly if they had received some more screen time. I like a bad movie every once in a while but at least develop a character or re-shoot a take if the one you have is garbage. Were the filmmakers running out of videotape? This movie must have been shot in like one day. I feel bad if this was someone's masterpiece or something but aim a little higher next time.
