A Man Called Otto (2022)
Beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful.
This movie has taught me so much. The reality of life, loss, grief, friendship, relationships, anger, beauty , despair, loneliness and everything that is you will experience as a human being. I went in not expecting much but boy I stand corrected, I stand humbled. I went in thinking this was just another story. The cast, cinematography, music, story.. just everything about it was brilliant to say the least. It proves that simplicity can be extraordinary. It captures the moments and essence of life so flawlessly. Movie of the year for me. Beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful. Kindness and love will prevail.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Spidey does it again!
This movie was more than a movie.. it was a walk down memory lane, one that was filled with all kind of emotions. I used to think there was no spiderman movie that could ever beat the original in 2002. Well, this masterpiece might just have slightly topped that. If you haven't watched this, please do yourself a favour and finish 2021 in style with this one.
Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable (2018)
Flat.
Let me start off by saying I'm a huge Ellen fan. I was super excited when Relatable was announced, but the hype died even at first quarter of the stand up. The good side : it had some funny parts but not ones that's memorable or invoked lasting laughters. Ellen looked good but gave out vibes that she is trying so much, it was like a hidden struggle with jokes, and that isn't Ellen's usual ways at all. I found it pretty mediocre, to be honest. I stopped watching halfway and switched over to her older stand up "Here and Now" just to get rid of the unpleasant feeling from Relatable. I still love you Ellen.
A Christmas Carol (2009)
A perfect film
I've been a fan of Disney animation for years, and no doubt they were all great. However, 'A Christmas carol' checks in at top spot on my list of most favourite animation films. This film is utter perfection and pure candies for the eyes. The depth of the characters, the effects and storyline will leave you begging for more. This film might not really suit children but for the adults, its a must watch. I was kept in awe for the most worthy an hour and a half of my life. The film appears dark at times but that's overshadowed by the perfectness it displayed. This film has taken animation to a whole other level and it has set the bar high. I urge everyone to take some time out, grab some popcorn and some extra pants ,as it might come handy at certain scenes. All in all,an absolutely amazing experience a movie can ever provide.
