Tenet (2020)
Far to complicating
I enjoy films that make you think, but this is a mess.
Didn't enjoy it at all despite all the hype.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Disappointed
You know when your thirsty for a good Sci-Fi and you sit down with anticipation and feel let down?
Well that's how I felt.
The story, characters and pace all felt wrong. Ryan Gosling showed no emotions! I know he was supposed to be a replicant but we were told they had moved on.
I had no emotional attachments with any of the characters and I found the tech didn't feel 2049.
I thought it all could have been done in 30 minutes! at least that way I wouldn't feel like I had wasted so much time watching it.
Game of Thrones: The Spoils of War (2017)
9.9?
well acted, well filmed, but I'm losing the will to watch anymore. It's long and drawn out with the exciting scene's over too quickly There's no more originality just living off the back of what's happened before. I just wish that it could have more character depth rather than embellishing what already's gone. Am I the only one!!!!
Spectre (2015)
What!!!
After seeing Skyfall I was less than hopeful that this offering was going to reach my expectations and I was right.
What's happened to the Bond experience. Gone is the feeling that the baddies are bad, it felt like there was a cardboard cut out giving a wooden performance. Gone is the feeling of identity with the Bond character I'm sure it's not Daniels fault but engage with his audience don't stand around pouting and trying to look pretty. Gone is the legitimacy with the organization you would never have a boss being walked over by a minion. and finally what was that scene about when he killed the baddie on the train and Madeleine said to bond "what next" and it panned into the bedroom scene, I looked at my wife dumbfounded.
No more Bond for me.........Sorry.
Breaking Bad: Felina (2013)
I'm The Odd Man OUT
I thought it was best I waited till I saw the end of the series before I made my comment.
My son and wife told me I needed to watch the whole series because it's the best thing on TV in a long time if not the best ever, and whether I put a barrier up from the start I've not found this to be the case.
Right from the start I found most of the characters annoying with pockets of interest. Most of the episodes had me yawning, getting uptight and feeling the script was being padded out.
It took until the third series before I felt that the characters were becoming of interest and this came in the character of Saul. Even when Gus came in all I though he added a small amount of menace but he didn't feel threatening enough to be a BIG boss.
When main characters started getting killed like mike and hank I felt nothing for them as I couldn't empathize with they're characterization.
I also got annoyed with the one dimensional showing of Jessie's part.
All that said, I thought that there was some interesting moments of inventiveness.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Believable baddies
What is wrong with movies these days!!!!!!! when will we have films with real baddies. This and Skyfall just stinks.
My 24 year old son calls this film epic..... I'm sorry the younger generation don't know what epic means. CGI's and explosions don't give films the right to be called epic.
What happened tho film making like saving private Ryan. and war of the worlds these feel more on an epic scale
I know the costs of films are spiraling but lets have some content.
I hope I'm not ranting to much. lets have some real believable baddies.

Skyfall (2012)
Not a Bond but more like an average thriller
I've tried to be unbiased as I'm not a raving Bond fan But being in my 50's I've seen all of the bonds first hand on release so I'm trying to recall the excitement and feelings I had as a collective bond experience. and I'm afraid this one fell short of the mark.
What it feels like is Bond is a robot, programed to act out his cause, with very little emotion or characterisation. it's not good enough to look hurt and scorn at people, it needs more content, and I felt no empathy with the character. Gone are the witty one liners, gone are the toys that made us go wow. I know they've written the plot around current technology but it just made MI6 look idiots.
However as a film it was entertaining but not a bond.
Avatar (2009)
Unique in site in humanity
So, I'm not a reviewer but just got back from seeing the Movie and whilst I didn't go WoW! I must comment on the completeness of the film.
what feeling I had walking away was Humanity... and it took an alien nation to show it.
The 3d effect was good without making you feel ill, and the alien landscape was amazing.
The acting was excellent and the dialogue was very natural, OK there was a few cliché's but hey it just reinforces the character
overall though I was fully immersed in the film and didn't feel that there was any weaknesses. and would look forward to a sequel
