A lot of shooting and action
18 June 2017
We need to separate laws of physics and anatomy from this film. It is good as performance, but there is lack of scenario (my view) and a hell a lot of action and shooting.

I like Keanu a lot, and he definitely has great potential and a lot of skills as actor, the bit when Laurence Fishburne popped up from nowhere for 5 mins role reminded me of The Matrix! :D This part (the second one) is far better compare to the first one, and I'm positive on seeing third soon given it ended openly.

I enjoyed watching the film, but if you're going to watch it, simply ignore the your "critique glasses" and put your "action glasses" :D

Good (but can be better)
28 January 2017
Nice film, original concept and out of the box kind of thinking.

I personally like these eastern medicine/philosophy kind of stories where you see there is an "other" way not necessarily familiar and known to all.

I like Mr. Benedict Cumberbatch as an actor and I've seen him in far better roles. I'm not sure this film managed to develop his full potential (both as actor and as character). Maybe there was not enough time for this.

However enough with this, speaking of time... I lost the time perspective of the story. W/o telling more about what has happened in the film - I'd like simply to say - I have no bloody idea how long he was mastering his skills. At some point he just... became really good. My understanding is it happened rather quickly. Targeting the 17 or lower age they made a huge focus on the potentially attractive 3D scenes (fights, chasing and city-building concept type the Matrix...). In a nutshell - not bad to kill time, but nothing special and definitely below my expectations.

Action, action, actioN!!!
23 January 2017
If you like action, maybe you can bare this for the full duration of the film...

I have personal preferences for Keanu Reeves's acting. He is quite talented actor, and I believe he did some really good titles. The problem he has in this film is the scenario I guess. There is not much part from "go kill some poor fellows". He all of sudden (obviously, there was a trigger for this) he went from a pensioner to killing spray machine... similar to the Matrix.

Obviously he sometimes got wounds... otherwise it would have been a lower rate from me, no matter how fond I am to him (since the time he played Neo the chosen one in the Matrix).

In a sum - my rating is a bit higher than it should, if you like action, shooting and blood - you may like it. There is a story but it is not yet developed - hope they would be better in chapter two. This film has no specific cinematographic qualities and won't be something to remember in a month after you see it for a first time.

Serious topics easy to watch...
23 January 2017
Serious topics easy to watch, and very fer scenario flaws you can easily live with.

The game of Kim Woo-Bin is really good. I believe he was quite a potential to play more serious roles apart of teen series. I wouldn't be way too petty with the directing and the small details (just to give some flavour on this the main actress usually fall and trip up herself in a very strange manner - something I never actually figured out, quite fragile I guess).

The scenario is well designed, and w/o spoiling your watching (it is set from the very start), main character is charismatic and strongly presented in the series, mixture of idealism, poverty and love is quite substantial.

I wouldn't classify this as "comedy" the whole story (apart from presentation and acting) is really serious and thrilling, great potential to make this more serious film. However it will be way off from the nature of the Korean Melodrama.

My advice - watch it and tell for yourself.

Fresh and funny
23 January 2017
I really enjoy Asian films and especially series. They are lacking the historical heavy tradition of the European films (France, Italy, Spain mainly) and they make really funny light series. Easy to watch and relax.

My view is this series would be great for people who enjoy funny stories, mixed with serious content and the reactions only Koreans (or Asians in general) are capable of.

Scenario is fresh and full of moments where main characters "re-discover" themselves step after step. I didn't see the usual bad guys who was really bad, here we see an easy going story with only few major downs.

Brace yourself, get some snack and see if you're going to like this story, worth spending leisure time with this series.

Best Poirot Film Series Made So Far!
30 December 2016
David Suchet is an excellent in his role as Monsieur H. Poirot. He managed to play so well in this film series that every time someone mention Agatha Christie or Poirot - my first thought is related to these series and specifically Mr. Suchet acting.

I shall keep these series for my children one day as I thing they are truly amazing.

Would definitely recommend them to everyone who loves detective stories, has nostalgia to 20's, 30's and even further up to 50's of XX century. To many people the story might be lacking "action" but in fact the genuine spirit of Poirot (said in the books and in the series many times) is the human psychology not the rough power or so popular lately "action".

My recommendation - get yourself a nice glass of brandy and go back to the past where you can see some of the best detective stories every made!

Nothing Special!
30 December 2016
Summary: This is kind of film nobody enjoy watching but somewhere, at a specific time someone famous said good words about... :D So don't be surprised if you all of a sudden start bumping with your fingers asking yourself how much more left out if this thing?

The film would have made some sense to me if there was a proper introduction of the story. It seemed to me these are like few random stories attached with a needle way bigger than it should have been.

If you decide to see this film out of curiosity put your philosopher had on your head and try to think in metaphors and and symbols. Otherwise you better turn the TV off and come back when you're in a mood as I mentioned above.

Funny Way To Start Serious Topics
23 December 2016
In general I'm not a big fan of the Indian films but this one was really good! Usually all the singing and dancing making the film 2hrs + is quite annoying to me, but here it was sort of fun and not as heavy as usual.

The main character is excellent fit for the role (my opinion) and managed to use comedic approach to present topics so important for both Indian and Pakistan that left me with a really good overview of the story.

This film provoked thinking and philosophical topics we usually avoid or don't see at all. I recommend it to viewers who would like a light funny stories with serious message within. Some may not see the deepness of the story but others will. I believe these "others" are the primary audience for this film!

Nice Idea for Scenario
21 December 2016
I actually wasn't aware there was a film based on similar story. However Anthony Hopkins is a chap who makes any role as a second nature of his... I really enjoyed watching him.

The idea of his... "special" abilities and the help he can do in the PD - is great (according to me). I don't want to expose spoilers or tell more in this review to people who haven't seen this film yet, so I'll tell only this shortly:

Not the greatest film ever, good story line and unexpected (for me) ending, marvelous performance by A. Hopkins and last but not least I enjoyed the time I spend watching this file. Hope you'll find it the same way I did.

Extremely unrealistic
21 December 2016
This series seem to be totally unrealistic and out of scenario. The idea is not so bad, but the slogan of the American 80s series where the bad guys are really bad, and the good guys are really good doesn't bring me any value.

It seems in the Korean lifestyle the corporations have the vision of "God-like" creatures able to invest, create and use unlimited amount of money, resources, people and etc.

If you like films where the main character is being "brought back from the void" and 30 mins later kicks asses - then you may actually enjoy this crap. However it is not something I'm particularly thrilled about.

I don't want to talk to much, but if I would have done this - it would have been is similar spirit... I'm sure you'll get the point! ;)

(no spoilers) good to waste time...
13 November 2016
This film isn't anything special. It is easy to watch, a bit of laughter and fun, not much messages, monogamy and marriage are touched, sex (as in every film of this kind).

Usually I give 5 as rating if I pause when I got distracted while watching but you don't have to bother do this extra move if you're watching... this...

Not so horrible as "american pie"... and has some decent messages for the viewers in the end. So I'd recommend it for easy going/funny night when you don't have to pay too much attention to the screen of the TV. Few stereotypes are put into perspective here (across the lines) which always annoys me (I would prefer to be "out of the box" thinker instead of seeing stupid messages poking my eyes from low budgeted films as this one.

So in a nutshell - nothing special, good for wasting time with friends/family/girl/boy-friend but don't expect to remember this film weeks after you've seen it.

Hell a lot of bullets, so few acting...
1 November 2016
Tarantino lost his way somewhere in '00s (personal opinion) last great film of I believe was "Pulp Fiction". After 1995, when all big films became visual he lost his personal stamp in his creations. Django is great but damn exploited topic, and I would say poorly told here.

There were 3 hr of story and I bet around 1.5 hrs of bullet, blood, gore –ish stuff… I bet if someone can count the bullet fired in this film and divide this per number of armed man there, they would have more ammo they can actually carry… maybe American audience love this… but I would expected more drama… more passion, better development of Mr. Django's wife… she was almost invisible. Django though was so "cool" he don't move, don't take even breath… he is so "antipode of acting". Leo was real "ass" exactly what he needed to be. Rich, unmannerly man who doesn't respect other peoples' life… I gave 1 extra star only because of him. I'm sure a lot of people would love this movie, but that's it… moving pictures of bullets, drops of blood flying around and so few time to make the story. That's this film's problem. If you want to test it – prepare the remote, you can easily gain 30-50 mins of your live back simply skipping few parts of this.

Worth being watched!
1 November 2016
Great acting, great story… I love it! Even I don't usually like nazzi, war stuff, camps and etc. This film gives some good perspective and optimism around so grim situation. Great "love" story between father / son. This worth watching even if you only focus on Roberto's acting and way of telling the story. Usually I don't support and look favourably to director and leading character matching in a certain film (see some of Woody Allen's tortures of innocent TV fans), but this particular is really good.

I don't want to tell more as I bet there are people who would like to see this film w/o the story being told in comments or reviews.

Fairly bad film...
3 July 2016
I guess Tarantino lost something somewhere... in 90s he made few good films. After 2k though he completely messed up a lot of things.

The films went too brutal, lack of any sense, just an exploitation of old and worn out topics like blacks, slavery and Jews.

Introduction of the characters is similar to 5 years old comic book and most of the films cannot even sit on the same shelf as other classical films on these topics. "Inglorious Basterds" worth watching only for some fanatics who believe the "american" version of the history. I guess it is something being showed to soldiers in military prisons... Don't know. Definitely this got so boring at some point I didn't finish it at all.
