Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story (2019)
What a brilliant and clever and emotional movie
I've seen this at the festivals and I also have seen the "Laugh your head off" tour live on stage last year. Wow, what a gutsy movie. Kathy Griffin went to hell and and she tells all about it. Not only interesting but also laugh out loud funny, absolutely relevant and very revealing. Do yourself a favor and watch it.
Somebody Got Murdered (2008)
very dramatic journey of a young man in search for love and peace
I just attended a screening of the movie at film festival in Spain and I have to tell you that I was blown away by this. The movie is from German independent filmmaker Tor Iben and features an amazing ensemble. Fine performances all around. The charismatic Frank Christian Marx as Tom gives his sad character a very realistic and intensive turn, one look in his eyes and you will fall in love. Jasper Joseph is great also as his object of affection who has a dark secret. In his movie Iben created a word where hope is gone and Love is lost. Tom's search for love is both cruel and poetic, beautifully shot, especially in the scene where Tom eventually finds a way to save his soul in the arms of a stranger (very charming: Austrian actor Robert D. Marx). I hope the DVD comes out in the US. If it does you really have to check this out.
