L'appartement (1996)
Absolutely great!
Magnificent, original, beautiful movie. The acting is great, the settings en decors are superb (Paris at its best- but then the real Paris, not the famous settings) and the music will do also. A brilliant storie, very detailed, which I just very much love.
The best French movie I've seen (and French cinema is very good)!
Trois couleurs: Blanc (1994)
Best of the trilogy
For me, this is the best of the trilogy! Why? This movie has everything the other two pieces also have, but it provides some extras: absolutely great acting and the use of a bit of humor. The story is the most beautiful of the trilogy, better than Bleu and Rouge.
One of the best pictures I've seen!
Trois couleurs: Rouge (1994)
The second best of the trilogy
This third piece of the trilogy is also beautiful! Better than the first, a bit less than the second. I especially like the settings, the details, the acting and the magnificent use of colours in this piece of work. If you look at the use of colours and the settings/ decors, this is the best of the trilogy. So: a great French piece of art.
Á köldum klaka (1995)
Interesting movie
I like this one quite a bit! It is a bit extraordinary, with a good storie, good acting of the head actor, and especially beautiful music (Icelandic, a bit like Sigur Ros/ Bjork with classical influences). I believe the music is composed by the person who also composed the music for the Icelandic movie "Angels of the universe", or "Englar alheimsins" (brilliant music!), from which I have the soundtrack (composed by Hilmarsson AND Sigur Ros!!!).
This here is also good, charming, and with superb and beautiful settings and pictures of a beautiful country: Iceland!
So try it.
Trois couleurs: Bleu (1993)
Beautiful!
The first of the trilogy. I like them all, this one even the least (I give this one an 8). Why? It is dark, sombre, which I like, but sometimes a little bit too dark. The music is absolutely beautiful, but sometimes a bit too overwhelming.
Still: great piece of cinema!
