Really boring.

As it was based on the actual details on the day of the arrest this film should never have been made.

Sticking exactly to the facts made for a very slow very boring film. There are parts where glitches were added every time mention was made of what she was accused of doing. Considering the case is done and dusted there was zero reason to put glitches in as then you never found out what she was being investigated for which is just stupid.

The film is really slow and goes nowhere fast I have no idea why this scored high. Considering she did America a favour leaking the details and got the longest sentence for it this film did not do her justice.

The only reason I know this is because I had to Google her to find out what she did.

She is a hero and deserves better.

The Old Oak (2023)

Very slow and very boring it goes nowhere

This film can be summarised in 2 words 2 slow and boring.

The story was not very well built up the Syrians were just there no real show of the horrors or terrors they had escaped They are suddenly in the small town. Another say 30 new people. In real life this would create issues and in the movie it does.

Character development was really non existent the main character lacked a back bone ignoring the guy slagging him off when he could have just barred the guy. Even after he found out what happened he didn't bar them and life continues as normal. The final ultimate fail was with all these skilled Syrians shown in the film who wanted somewhere to meet up they didn't rally together and sort everything out. So really the film just went nowhere and was pretty slow and dull.

No Idea how it got high scores.

Quite boring and some things seem a bit off

So i had this on my watch list for a while and finally got round to watching it today and certain things just dont seem to fully add up.

First off. Joe moore looks like.actor kevin james which is really off putting when trying to watch a serious subject but also in regards to that comes the first of a few issues i have with the film.

We are told how dangerous the clan is during the film and how much they want him dead and how he is still at risk.

Then all through the film he is showing his face not having it disguised but showing his kevin james lookalike face. Fair enough but then it shows his wife's face his kids faces and the house he lives in from the front back and inside. The claim the KKK contacted him and told him they know where he lives does not explain having is families face in the film.

There are 3 possibilities why he lets his family and his house in the film.

1. he is an idiot 2. He has a automated heavy machinegun mounted in both his house and car designed to automatically shoot KKK members 3. The guys he arrested were not dangerous and the story was very hyped up All in all unlike most documentaries its mainly joe moore talking and whilst he maybe a great FBI agent he is not a great speaker i just found him to be very boring. I guess the film was just made badly.

The Last Boy on Earth (2023)

Its not a film its 7 shorts

I assumed this was a full length movie. The story kept on changing but one constant was a boy in a room which it kept on going back to so the film was making no sense. All the scenes were well done with very good special effects all the actors were people i didnt know. Because it was a set of shorts and i wasn't aware it it made watching it really hard work a bit like watching a david lynch movie.

By the time I got to the end i still never worked out how the boy in the movie was tied to all the stories as i could not see a link. Its only when i saw the credits and it started listing all the different shorts directed by different people that i realised it wasn't one film.

This really sucks. If i had known going into it that it was a set of shorts i would have been happy to watch it and enjoyed it more but instead i was left wondering what on earth was going on and this ruined it. At this point i dont care what ties all the shorts to the boy in the room. Not worth wasting your time unless you like shorts.

Expend4bles (2023)

Couldnt make it to the end. It really is bad

Sat down to watch this with my better half.

As it has all the big names and a proven recipe of blowing stuff up there is no way it could be a bad film..... or so i thought.

I think somebody who cant make action movies wrote a load of bad action clips and then on the way to the director tripped and dropped the lot totally mixing up the order.

Very quickly i noticed the action scenes were a mess and seemed to have no purpose other than to fill some time from scene to scene. I probably made it 40 minutes in nah not really more like 30 and i turned it off and put something else on. I honestly had no clue what was going on it just looked really bad. Skip this movie.

The Exorcist: Believer (2023)

Shame about the CGI and lack of story. Just about watchable. Could have been awesome

So going in i knew the reviews had been not great but i thought i would give it a go regardless.

The film itself was shot well enough it wasn't a B grade nor did it have that weird audio that made for TV movies have. What ruined it for me was two things. Firstly a complete lack of storyline. There was no good explanation as to what happened when the girls went missing that caused this after all it was a first of its kind double possession. Whilst this is excusable in the original because of how truly scary it was for a modern sequel it requires more than a hint.

Secondly the director simply cant do horror and resorted to computer CGI so the scare scenes was meh. Before he even attempted this he should have watched the original Japanese Ring series. Had it been a great director it could have been a fantastic movie but as it was it was something to pass the time nothing more.

What a shame.

Dark Harvest (2023)

A perfect blend of violence and madness

I thought it would be not great but as i ran out of things to watch i decided to give it a punt and hope it wasn't truly awful.

First up it is well shot. It isn't a B movie which is what i expected and it also doesn't have that weird audio that all made for TV movies have.

Very soon into the movie you are greeted by the madness of the end of the hunt. From there things just progress and the kill scenes are swift and violent. My favourite being the top of his head chopped off yet he keeps running and talking for a few seconds more. The violence being swift and brutal means its not too much gore just bam and done. The theory of the legend is discussed in the gym and then it seems to be shown to be true but sadly it isn't shown in depth what makes the killer become saw tooth jack.

The film flies along and it was a fun easy watch.

Mr. Harrigan's Phone (2022)

Fits a new genre created called dead end

Its easy to make a good film if you don't have to write an ending for it. It can be a mysterious or as unusual as you like to keep people hooked because you don't have to create a ending.

3 films come to mind cube, the wall and a film where everyone is fighting over a box that you never see what's in it at the end.

It stinks of lazy writing and ruins the whole movie and is a utter waste of time. This is one of those movies. I went into it knowing it wasn't horror but just as the movie gets going it just suddenly ends that's it no explanation no development nothing. Better of buying paint painting something and watching it dry.

It got an extra star because it looked good and the acting was good but without a point there was no point. Don't bother.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

Awesome film but it should be remade and where is rama?

Visually this is a fantastic film with a great story the main issue is the story is not complete and being kubrek it has some random things in the mix which confuses some people.

Obviously if its such a masterpiece of scifi then it begs the question why do i think it should be remade?

The film is based on the book series going from 2001 2010 2061 3001 and only in the last book does it explain what the monoliths are and their purpose. I would love to see the whole series and considering films that are released these days its amazing that such a good story is left unfinished. 3001 has a amazing city that would be fantastic on film, The problem is if you make the next two films using modern day effects and the first two are these then it looks really weird a bit like when george lucas decided the best idea for star wars was to do the middle 3 films first? So now if you watch the set you have modern 3 old three modern 3. If your going to make new films for a old series either make the new films look old to match or remake the lot.

Lastly its amazing that nobody has thought to make the rama series because that would be visually amazing.

I read the bad reviews and my partner decided it wasn't worth it then finally I saw it last night.

The movie looks great special effects are great and it's a slow burn to the build up which was nice lots of weird stuff going on. The actors were great. I have no I idea why people claim its disjointed. There are flashbacks scenes that are clearly flashbacks and it isn't hard to follow what's going on. I like the alien concept it was original and all in all it was a good watch. Maybe people went in thinking it was the next action movie like indepence day or maybe they just don't get films. I really liked it.

The Unholy (2021)

Damn it was really bad.

It wasn't made for TV bad but it was pretty close. The trailer looked awesome but very early in the cgi is awful and from then on everything is a rehash from every other cheap film and it goes downhill from there. Plenty of good films to watch out there and this isn't one even the ending was very fast and lack lustre. If you want church horror try end of days or stigmata.

Relic (2020)

This movie has all the generic scares but when it gets towards the end and goes weird you wait for an explanation and then it ends. Its not hard to make a interesting movie that has no end. Other films like this exist the cube is an example. To get to the end and there is nothing is annoying. Apparently its a methaphoer what a easy get out that always is.

II thought of a perfect ending which would be the police kicking down the door and arresting them for the worst abuse case ever. the mould was in the house and they was the ones harming the gran because the mould was posinous and made them see things

Time (I) (2020)

Plenty of sad cases in America this isn't one of them

I love real life like the wm3 and making of a murderer. I knew the story line going in so I assumed it was the explanation of a family surviving over the years.

Instead we get a constant barrage of white man this poor black man this how dare prisons treat us this way its like slavery. After about an hour I had enough and had to turn this junk off. White people with the same sentences are not busy complaing that its because they are white. They decided to have six kids they decided to open a clothes store and then decided to Rob a bank. What parent of six decides to Rob a bank? Then with all the money they don't have they chose to hire a solicitor instead of getting a free one the solicitor screws up robs plea Bargin and then quits leaving it to goto trial which is strange if he is pleading guilty. How when you choose the actions you take knowing the potential outcome can you then complain about the outcome. Go watch a Jonestown documentary or the west Memphis three instead.

Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2011)

The confession and lack of evidence

What a great movie i saw all three many years ago and then i think one of them was due for execution around 2000 so thank god they got released..

Alot of people say that their is not 100% proof they didnt do it but the confession speaks volumes. After many hours with no legal advice or parents one of boys confesses to the crime. The major problem with the confession is the recording of it. The confession is completely lead and when he gets bits wrong the police keep pushing him to change it untill it fits. At the time of the arrest the only people that had seen the bodies were the police and the police believed the boys had been raped. Jessie admits the rape. When it goes to trial it turns out they were never raped so how did he admit to something that never happened and the disp[osal of the blood was insane even an expert said it couldnt be done.

The alford plea was an affront. Only in america are you allowed to plead guilty to a lesser offence whilst denying your guilt at the same time and the plea be accepted as long as you promise never to sue the goverment for the 18 years you lost

Thappad (2020)

There are amazing blockbuster movies in the world godfather in Interstellar etc. They release this b grade movie which is really boring to watch and everyone Indian votes it 10 for what? How would then then vote a great movie?

This movie was b grade and very boring with poor acting and slow story. Its not worth watching very dull.

This movie was junk it was boring and was full of bad acting and was a total waste of time if your not a local it would do nothing for you.

All countries have access to real big blockbuster movies like godfather interstellar whatever so they understand what an amazing movie is. This movies comes out of a country that generally makes very bad movies at best this would be a B grade movie to anyone else not from there. But suddenly because its a step above total junk people from the country are scoring it ten. The reality is the scale stops at ten so if you are scoring a local b grade movie as ten then how would you score an actual amazing blockbuster movie? to make matters worse when you goto reviews they are set in order of helpfulness so pakistani reviews scoring 10 are getting a ton or clicks from other pakistani people. dont waste your time

Crawl (I) (2019)

Truly awful

It's rare that I find a film that looks so good and sucks so bad. The actors walk around like bumbling idiots doing the most stupid things which from the start is silly but goes on to be very annoying by the end. It was cringe enough that she happens to be a expert swimmer so she can swim 4x faster than any other human ever and outswim a load of alligators. This is after she has been bitten on her leg and bitten on her arm both of which would be broken. Apparently she is invincible but her dad sure isn't because everytime he is bitten he loses a limb or gets one broken. Also the relationship between her and her father is boring. It could have been a good movie if they had made it just a little bit more realistic . Example would be she calls her dad's phone. The phone should have been in the basement giving her a reason to go down there instead of it being on the side and she just deciding to. Plus when down there why is she crawling in muck when she can clearly stand? Make her step on a nail giving her a reason to crawl instead. Also how is the dad carrying a dog and walking on a broken leg while she carrys nothing next to him. If the director had some imagination he could have made a film that forces them to do things instead of them doing stupid things for no reason like going to the cellar etc. Terrible film lacking imagination. It's a shame because visually it was good

Pet Sematary (2019)

The high scores are kids and crew. This film brings nothing new to the original

The film is watchable but it is not a great movie and it is not scary. My main issue is other than the sister its just the same film remade with nothing new. For people to be scoring it 10 they are either crew or just turned 15 and have never seen a horror before hell IT was way better than this. Watch the original it was much much better. Their are many great films that could be remade without stooping to rehashing one that was already great just to get views. An example is the 2001 space oddessy series which is so old the effects are lacking so it could really do with being remade all the way upto 3001. This film is not that and is easy to forget 5 minutes after you see it.

Skyscraper (2018)

So i get foreign countries want to make Hollywood blockbusters and i get they want to use famous American actors to star in said blockbusters but i goto the movies to watch a movie not read one. Now if its a foreign film like bus 174 or city of god i go in expecting that but seriously in a rock action movie its frankly annoying. It was even worse in the meg because everyone speaks English in the movie except two actors so suddenly i have to keep reading everything. If your going to do American action movies save us the reading bit. Otherwise this movie was ok for passing time nothing amazing

400 Days (2015)

new film category SELL OUT to match the ending

So the film wasn't terrible it was leading you towards the end and it was building up so you was looking forward to see what it was all about. Then when it gets right to the point it stops dead. it should be in a category all of its ownto match similar films. it take no skill to make a film like this because you have no ending so you just finish it and think thats ok. What it really means is you just wasted a few hours of your time.

similar films would be CUBE and a foreign film where a woman finds a invisible wall in the countryside. Films like this suck.

on the reverse of this you have films with a twist these are films that are great then when you get to the end they blow you away with the twist like.

Frailty, Seven, The others, Sixth sense, the usual suspects, life of david gail, the tall man, the mist, den of thieves and my favourite Man down.

Ok firstly the film sucked it was meant to be a moral film about the horrors of child prostitution which instead was made like a soft core film and the acting wasnt the best either . overall it was a waste of time.

when checking the reviews the first 30 were mostly 10/10 which is amazing for a less than average film and then 25 of the people reviewing the film have never reviewed any other and are new members. after that the real reviews tell a very different story.

this ruins this website. any film found to do this should have a warning above their rating saying partially based on false views this will help others judge the films before watching.

The film was boring and never really got beyond that. i wish i could get the time back but i cant. what a shame newbies still get away with scoring 10 for the first film they review when everyone else is scoring it very low. it should be about a 3 at best.

Secrets of Shaolin with Jason Scott Lee (2012 TV Movie)

low score for the voiceovers and pole tricks at the end does not deserve its rating

Whilst this was a OK program there were two things that really reduced the score firstly it was the extremely poor voice overs at least get a somebody from the region and get them to do the voiceovers so that it sounds somewhat realistic and not like a cheap copy of a old Chinese fighting movie. Secondly and most importantly this was not done as a drama or comedy it was presented as a documentary showcasing the shaolin skills so when it came to the part where they was going to hit him with poles I thought it strange he could have learnt their hidden skills so quick. Enter a couple of cut scenes and it all makes sense. Why teach someone to channel their che when you can cut a notch out of a pole and then hit their arm with it. when I looked at the back hit the pole started to bend before it even hit him. When they hit themselves the poles are not cut but to include tricks at the end is really poor. If he wasn't able to do it they should have just said he wasn't ready

Daylight's End (2016)

The movie was at the level of an average made for TV movie. The fact it had only one very known actor should have flagged this for me but i persisted on because of the average rating and the good review that i saw on IMDb however i failed to notice that the reviewer had scored it a 10. The movie was nicely shot but the story line was slow and their was not much character building. The movie is basically a rehash of every other similar plague movie i have seen but not in a good way. The film is instantly forgettable The ratings make you think its worth a watch but don't waste your time because you will want it back. If you want a better end of world movie there are tons to pick from

God Is Not Dead (2013)

First up i watch a lot of movies and i do mean loads. Because i watch so many now i find myself watching movies that don't look amazing but might be OK. I thought this was going to be a comedy and would clearly push towards god but not much otherwise it would be a open your mouth while i ram this bible in type of thing.

The arguments were weak at best but OK thats fine until suddenly a teacher who outright hates god for the death of someone turns round and follows him again. magically the two tired follows show up at the exact moment to issue last rites. It went from light to being force fed as suddenly everyone switched to god.

so his wife slowly dies and the excuse would be thats gods will which never explains why when you goto church they pray for people to get better? Don't waste your time unless your considering joining a religion as it gets vomit worthy towards the end.
